Diggle had just dropped Felicity back off at her apartment, he was walking her up the stairs when Tommy's voice called over the pair of them.
"Felicity... Oh my god Felicity are you ok? What the hell happened?" he rushed up the other side of the blonde to help Diggle walk her up.
"Our genius here saved the day and decided to play hero to stop Sara from getting killed... Still I think she is stupid for being out on the field in the first place..." Diggle mumbled but Felicity Shhhh'd him "I'm just returning the favour... Ooooh Tommy wait till I show you my scar... My very own scar!" she beamed but he looked straight to Dig with a stern look.
Once they were finally inside her apartment the boys placed Felicity on the sofa, she looked adorable in the large shirt she was wearing, a part of Tommy wished it was his shirt. Not that he wanted Felicity to be hurt, he wanted it under entirely different circumstances. Tommy followed Dig to the kitchen, pulling the door too he leant against her work surface "Where was Oliver...? What did he do to make Felicity go out like that... She's never..." Dig cut him off by holding his hand out "She felt like she needed to prove herself man... She's a strong and independant woman, I don't think anyone could of stopped her.." He frowned sorting out the coffee maker.
"Left out? As in... What?" He asked confused as he moved towards the door frame watching his blonde friend pull the shirt down over her shoulder to look at the scar.
"Don't get mad but... She feels as though Sara is taking her place. Not just in The Hood's life but in Oliver's too. You know Oliver only ever opened up to Felicity or me but now Sara is around were all taking a back seat and well Sara was on her machines and computers and we all know not to go near them!" Dig stated firmly knowing first hand what Felicity could do.
Tommy sighed looking back to Diggle "Oliver is blind not to see what a special person she is..." he shook his head "I always saw Felicity as indestructable you know... She's always there taking care of everyone else like Oliver and well she's put me back together more times than I can count but who looks after her... She says she doesn't need it and I think we all just shrug it off but she is loved..."
"Agreed... You going to stay with her tonight? Or I can?" Dig poured out a coffee for Felicity before walking to the door to join Tommy in watching her "I can take it from here... No doubt she'll be wanting to get up for work in the morning, I will see if I can sway her mind though."
Diggle walked through to the living room placing the coffee down "Right... I'm going to leave you in Tommy's capable hands now all right but you know what to do if you need anything...?" Felicity grinned brightly with a nod, the "Apirin" clearly working.
"Yup... Just give my D -Dawg a call... Oh god I am never saying that again!" she mumbled to herself before she went deep in though. Diggle ruffled her hair gently before he walked out.
"Miss Smoak... What are we going to do with you hmm? I think the City is doing all right with 2 masked vigilantes don't you?!" Tommy smiled faintly sitting beside her, he brushed her hair back from her shoulder to see how big the scar was. "Felicity..." he sighed brushing his finger gently along the length, she watched him with her thoughts finally sobering.
"I don't want to be seen as the easy linkof the team... The one who falls easily when she's pushed. I was meant to be good at one thing you know and even that blew up in my face. Sara can analyse blood and can work computers so what is the need of me anymore Tommy? Why do they need me? Sara is obviously everything, she can kick ass and do what I can do... I'm not needed!" Felicity blurted out in a ramble getting worked up, Tommy could see the tears threatening to fall, he slipped an arm round her waist pulling her against him so she could rest her head against his chest.
"Your one in a million Felicity Smoak. Oliver knows dam well you are and he is bloody stupid if he thinks otherwise. Sara can kick ass sure but you weren't marrooned on an Island for years to learn all of that and no one knows a computer like you Smoak... Oliver knows it, Dig knows it, I know it and you know it. Felicity your a hero!"
Tommy looked down to her, his thumb brushed the tears that had fallen from her cheek as he placed a gentle kiss on her forehead "Now you need to rest all right.. I'm not moving!" he whispered as his fingers brushed through her hair.
Felicity snuggled up against him the best she could, he head rested on his chest and she slipped her hand into his whispering a sleepy "Thank You.." before falling to sleep.
"Any time Felicity... Anytime"
