Not Letting Go

It wasn't in his nature to just let things go.

Maybe it was a mistake to keep fighting on that way
but he wouldn't stop: couldn't let the heartless ones
run their course

And he didn't regret it: didn't regret what he'd become
though he still drew the line before his life
and loved ones.
