Marley's POV

So wait Alex is Jake's cousin? Hugh. Why does this have to happen to me out of everyone?

After we left Sarah's Jake had a smug smile all the way to Alex's house so I just stared daggers at him. This boy was full of himself.

When we got to Alex's house I was surprised to see a party raging in the back yard. We head to the back.

There sitting on the porch was Alex in his dark jeans and black t-shirt that outlined his taught muscles. There was a blonde flirting with him which made me smile. Time for my grand entrance.

Smiling, I walk up to the blonde grab her by her hair and yank it as hard as I can. She turns around and says, "Go find your own man."

"I have and he happens to be standing right there so please move before I make you." I say with the kindest drop-dead-or-at-least- choke-on-your-food smile I could muster. Autumn snorts behind me.

With those words the blonde run away to find another victim.

"Was that really necessary Mar? It was only flirting; you do it all the time." Alex says in a masculine voice.

"I might but it doesn't mean you can." I say then add in a peppy voice, "I am just awesome like that in every way." Mocking him with what his ex girlfriend would always say.

He growls then hugs me. "Man why do you have to remind me every time?"

I chuckle then notice we still have an audience. "Alex these are my friends Taylor and Autumn," – the wave then I motion to Jake- "and our no good tag along Jake, also known as your cousin if I'm correct." I laugh at the glare Jake is giving me.

"Well seems like you have you hands full and why are you here right now anyways? I thought you transferred to another school."

"With your mom as my teacher I might add" I giggle at his face then he burst out laughing.

"I win." He states with a grin.

"Why do I have to be stuck with this loser? Haven't I had enough torture?" I say to the sky as if praying.

"Oh you know you love it. And I told you my mom was a teacher at an all girls boarding school, you just never believed me."

"I just thought you didn't want me to meet her. Sorry I never believe you when your trying not to laugh."

"OK. What is going on here?" asked Taylor, "are you in a trance or something because we have been standing here for who know how long."

"Sorry guys go have fun Alex and I am just having a couple moment." I say with deep crimson staining my cheeks.

"You two are like the perfect couple," Autumn says, "why didn't you tell us before Sarah's house?"

"Well saying 'Hey guys my parents were kidnapped by an unknown group and, oh ya, I have a boyfriend his name is Alex.' Really doesn't sound right."

"Wait, your parents were kidnapped and you didn't mind to tell me about it." Alex said with a surprised face.

"Well what do you think I was her for?" I say.

"My smoking hot body and my sense of style." He says with a grin.

"Man how did I end up with you? And well that's not it I think it was because you're a spy. I'm just guessing." I state.

"You got me; if I wasn't a spy how would I know who you were when we met?"

"Well you did spill a blue raspberry slushy all over my nametag when I was at work. Which, by the way is how we really met."

"Also then you were dating Kyle till I asked you out a week later."

I giggle.

"Well lets just cut to the chase we need your help with finding Marley's parents." Jake almost yells with frustration. Where the heck did that come from?

"Well what do you need? I'll do anything for Mar." Alex said.
