Perfect.
Berwald stared across the room at the Fin, not even trying to make the action subtle. The blond across the room never paid him much attention anyway, so there wasn't really a need to hide his stare. This was practically a daily occurrence. Every day, Berwald would be one of the first ones to show up to the classroom. He'd go immediately to his seat, pull out a book, and wait. Ten minutes later, the other students would start to show up. With the crowd came the Fin, his Fin. For the next fifteen minutes until class started, Berwald would sit across the room from the blond, watching him. The other students talked about his hobby behind his back, saying it was creepy and that if they were the Fin, they would feel a little violated. The Fin never seemed to mind though. Or, better said, he didn't notice. Every day, he would talk with Edward, the boy from Estonia. Every day, Berwald noticed how they'd stand unnecessarily close to each other. He noticed how every now and then, one would 'accidentally' brush the other's hand. And every day, he asked himself why he had to fall in love with someone who would never love him back. Then the bell would ring and everyone would go to their seats. The Fin would come over to his desk and sit next to Berwald who would put away his book and spend the rest of class staring at the Fin out of the corner of his eye, trying to come up with a way to talk to someone that perfect. Before he could get up the courage to talk to him, the bell would ring and the Fin would stand, leaving Berwald to sit alone and pack up his bag. It was nearing the end of the semester when Berwald finally got up the courage to talk to the Fin. He got to school even earlier than usual that day and could barely focus on his book. Almost twenty minutes after he got there, the others began to trickle in. Berwald began to fidget in his seat when he saw the Fin walk in. He tried to keep his eyes on his book but always ended up staring at the blond across the room. The minutes spent waiting for the teacher to walk in and tell everyone to sit were some of the longest of Berwald's life. Finally, the teacher came in the room and called for the class to take their seats. Berwald sat waiting for the class to end so he could finally talk to the Fin. Finally, the impossibly long first period ended and the Fin began to stand.
"Wait, Tino." Berwald said, hoping he didn't sound as nervous as he felt. To his relief, the Fin turned around, a look of surprise on his face. "I, um, I was wondering if you had the English homework. I forgot to write it down yesterday." It was a lie but it seemed to work, because Tino smiled at Berwald and opened his bag.
"I have it. Its 1,2, and 5 on page 56 of the textbook. Do you need to borrow my book?" Tino reached in his bag and pulled out the textbook, handing it to Berwald after he nodded.
"Thank you." The Swede mumbled, stuffing the textbook into his own bag.
"No problem, um, Berwald, right?" Tino asked as he closed his bag. Berwald nodded and began to stand as well. "I should probably get going. You can give me my book back in English." Tino smiled at Berwald as he threw his bag over his shoulder.
"Thank you," Berwald said again, although Tino didn't hear him this time. As he watched Tino walk away, Berwald felt something he'd never felt before. He wasn't sure what it was, but it was a nice feeling, and it gave him some hope for talking to Tino again.

AN: I am so sorry for how long this took! I'd forgotten about it for a while and by the time I remembered it, I was too busy selling my soul to Hussie to do anything about it. However, now I'm caught up with Homestuck which means I can get back into the fandoms I abandoned. SO I'm working on the other requests now and hopefully they'll be out quickly.
