He was in a red and black void, shadows passing by him at random. He opened his eyes and looked around to see he was in suspended animation.
"That was something," said his ancestor, materializing before him.
"Am I...dead?" said Taran.
"Hate to say this, but not yet," it said.
"Then why am I here," said Taran.
"So I may talk to you with no interruptions," it said. "The power you have is one that is passed down. No one being can replicate it. With this power, you are able to harness the dark side of the Force, amplifying your abilities and endurance. However, you have yet to control it. Whether you like it or not, that power will stay with you and any descendents of yours for all time."
"I'm aware of that, but I'm not going to use it like you did," said Taran.
The shadow darkly laughed. "Whilst I was still alive, they called me many names. The Dark Lord of Hunger was probably my favorite, for I could devour all planets to consume the living Force. That power I used to ensure that no one could harm me."
"I don't want power, I just want to protect my friends," said Taran.
"To gain power is to protect them all," it said.
"I have all the strength I need. How do I control it so that I won't trigger it again like I just did," said Taran.
"That is all entirely up to you. I cannot help you learn. Only through trial and error will you learn. Now go back," it said. The world around began to light up as if the sun itself had arrived.
Taran's eyes slowly opened. He was in a hospital bed, a monitor next to him as well as a beaker of water near him. He was wearing a grey hospital shirt with black pants. He looked down it to see a bacta patch on the side where he was stabbed twice and burned himself. He didn't want to look to see what the injury looked like.
"Glad to see you're awake," said a voice to his immediate left. He looked to see Long by his bedside.
"Don't ever scare me like that again!" he said, his eyes piercing into Taran's and he raised his voice. Taran's eyes widened before they looked down in shame.
"I'm sorry," said Taran. "I couldn't control myself." Long saw he felt bad and lightened up.
"The power again?" he asked. Taran nodded.
"I wish I knew more about it. Funny thing is, your Dad never displayed that before, or anyone on his side," said Long.
"Must be because I'm more sensitive to the Force," said Taran. Suddenly, his eyes widened.
"Where's everyone else? What happened to them? Are they-"
"They're all fine. The Mandalorians went back to their planet to continue their operations there, Lux Bonteri safely made it back to Onderon, and the younglings, Bruck, Tia and General Koon went back to the Temple. Ahsoka's here," said Long.
"She's...here?" said Taran.
"Well she is technically not a Jedi anymore, and after the injuries you sustained she couldn't leave you alone by yourself," said Long.
"Where is she, and where are we now?" said Taran, looking out the window to his right.
"Ember Island Medical Center. Once you're healed enough, rest at my beach house; I rarely go there any way. It's on the northern side of the island near a beach and a small cove so you'll have plenty to do, otherwise you can go around the planet or off planet if you need to. I was able to get you ten days of leave as soon as you woke up," said Long. "Ahsoka's probably still in her room. It's at the end of the hall to the right."
"How long have I been out," said Taran.
"Three days. You could have died on us back there. Please try not to make me get a heart attack like that again," said Long. Taran nodded. Long ruffled his hair.
"Contact General Koon when you can. I'll be back on the frontline until the Army's called back," said Long. "Until then, rest." He stood up and began to walk out of the room.
"I hope you two are able to reconcile again, I do enjoy seeing her, especially around you," he said. Long smiled before he left the room, Taran's eyes following him as he left. He took the blanket off of him and swung his legs over to hover over the floor. He stepped down and stood up, holding the desk in case he couldn't walk just yet. Finding he could stand up, Taran took off the heart monitor and stepped outside. He looked around, seeing a few doctors and nurses pass by as he turned and walked to the room where Ahsoka was at. Thankfully he could sense her presence as he approached the room. He took a breath before he entered the room, the door sliding back to allow him in.
Ahsoka was sitting on the bed with her legs crossed petting a small toucan puffin, her window open to allow the air to come in. She wore a knee-length grey gown for clothing. She looked a lot more healthier than before. Her lekku and montrals were back to their normal glow, all bruises and cuts long gone. Judging by how she was holding the puffin, her wrist had healed. He smiled, gladly thanking the spirits that she was still alive and well.
"Who's your friend?" said Taran. She turned to him and a moment of elation passed over her as she smiled at him. She gently placed the bird down and got off the bed to hug him fiercely.
"You're awake," she said. He hugged her back, relishing her touch once again. She pulled back to look at him, her eyes filled with joy.
"I'm glad you're okay," said Taran. The toucan puffin chirped before it took off outside the window, the two watching it go.
"Your friend left," said Taran. Ahsoka chuckled, turning back to him, her hands on his chest.
"How are you feeling?" she asked.
"Still a little sore here," he said, pointing to his wound, "but other than that I'm fine." Ahsoka looked down at the bacta patch covering his wound, her expression saddening.
"Why do I always cause you pain," she said softly.
"This wasn't your fault, this was me losing control of myself, again," said Taran his eyes looking down. "I'm guessing everyone told you everything that happened?" She nodded.
"So you know about Bane?" said Taran. She nodded again. Suddenly, Taran's eyes lit up.
"The necklace? Where did it-"
"Don't worry, it's in your room. They put all your items on the desk when you were admitted," said Ahsoka. Taran let out a sigh of relief.
"How did I not see it when I walked out?" he said, rubbing his head. Ahsoka shrugged before she looked out the window.
"Ahsoka, we have to talk," said Taran. She moved over to the bed, making room for him to sit beside her.
"Why did you tell me not to follow you?" said Taran. Ahsoka looked down at her hands before she turned to face him.
"Because...I couldn't let you throw your life away. I made my decision for me, I didn't want to drag you down because of it. After everything that happened, I felt like my life was a lie up to that point. I wanted to leave to see what I could do outside the Order, but in doing so I told you the worst thing possible, cutting you out without even thinking of how badly it would hurt you," said Ahsoka. "You mean more to me than I can ever say, but I didn't want to sever you're life with the Order. That's why I told Anakin to tell you that. It was my biggest mistake, and I'll probably never forgive myself for it."
Taran looked at her before he looked away.
"I would follow you anywhere Ahsoka, but I don't want to get in the way of you trying to find where you belong," Taran said softly. He stood, moving towards the door.
"Taran, wait," said Ahsoka, standing up as well.
"On Elementia, to love someone is to also to allow them to be free," he said, turning around to face her again, "and I want you to be free to make your own choices without anyone holding you back, even if it's me." He smiled, that same heartwarming smile she had loved since day one. Before he could say anything, he left the room to go out into the hallway.
"But you don't hold me back," she thought. She sat back down on her bed, trying hard to hold the tears in. Outside, he was doing the same. He managed to make it back to his room before the first one slipped out.
"I just want her to be happy, even if it means I'm not there," he said to himself. The Jedi Order and the Air Nomads believed that attachments held the person back. Only by being able to let go can one find enlightenment. At the moment, Taran felt hollow on the inside. He sat back down on his bed, looking at the necklace he had missed earlier.
"Can I live without you?" he thought. He laid back down, closing his eyes to meditate.
He got out of his trance a few hours later, the sun in its mid-afternoon phase. Even by talking to his past lives, he still didn't feel any better. Avatar Korra and Aang's advice out of them all were the best ones, but it still didn't make the pain go away.
Korra: "Not all things are meant to be. You have to be able to forgo your attachment to them if it doesn't give you the time to grow personally."
Aang: "Love is a wonderful thing, but the point of love is to be able to let someone into your life, and out when it comes to it. If they stay, then they're yours for all your days."
He sighed, looking out the window at the sun. He heard his door open and looked to see who had come in.
The next thing he realized was a pair of lips pressed against his, his eyes wide open from shock before he fully realized it was Ahsoka, her arms wrapped around his shoulders. She pulled back to look at his startled expression.
"I can't live my life if you're not there," said Ahsoka, looking deep into his eyes. Taran's breath hitched in his throat. His hands went to her waist, holding her sides.
"I'm never letting you go," she said. He smiled, leaning over to kiss her. She leaned in to and they met in the middle. The feeling of her lips touching his again was the best feeling in the world to him. He would never grow tired of them. To her, feeling his lips on hers again was like the feeling you get when you take a breath of refreshing air. His hold on her tightened until his arms were firmly around her waist and hers were around his shoulders to bring him in any closer.
"Ahem," said another voice. They withdrew quickly to see the nurse, scooting away from each other, blushing furiously.
"Sorry about that," said Ahsoka.
"It's quite alright, I just wasn't aware the Avatar had a girlfriend," she said, smiling at the two. The nurse looked of Fire Nation heritage with blue eyes, indicating possible Water Tribe heritage. Her black hair was pulled up in a bun with the medical staff uniform.
"I was coming by to tell you you the doctor has cleared you to check out today, and also you Ms. Tano," said the nurse.
"Thank you ma'am," said Taran.
"It's no problem," said the nurse. She left to give the two teens their privacy. The two turned to each other, about to kiss again before Taran remembered two things.
"Hold on, have to call Master Plo," said Taran. "And give you this." He took the necklace off the desk. Ahsoka turned around as he placed the necklace back on her, clipping it in the back.
"There, back where it belongs," said Taran. Ahsoka turned to him, smiling.
"You didn't have to go out of your way to get it back," said Ahsoka.
"It was my gift to you, and if I remember correctly I had to undergo a giant series of events to get it," said Taran.
"Aren't you exaggerating a little?" said Ahsoka.
"Maybe," said Taran. She giggled, kissing him again before he took out his holoprojector, putting in the coordinates and waiting for the image to appear. In less than thirty seconds, an image of Plo Koon.
"Good to see that you two are well," said Plo.
"Thank you Master Plo, for everything," said Taran. "I'm sorry for that outburst at the Temple."
"I do not hold you to it young one. I know how much you cared for Ahsoka and knew you would do anything you could to make sure a loved one was safe," said Plo.
"About that master, I think it's time we tell you everything," said Taran, taking Ahsoka's hand. He looked at her, asking if this was okay. She didn't look to sure, but she nodded, turning with him to face Plo. They sent the next ten minutes hour telling him about their relationship from the beginning. Plo sat down in a chair and listened, when they were done he began to finger his chin, signifying he was deep in thought.
"It goes against the Code, and you know what will most likely be the result," said Plo.
"I do," said Taran.
"Very well. I'll be at the Temple awaiting your arrival," said Plo. "Though it conflicts with the Code, I am glad you were able to be honest with me about your situation, and to see the love between the two of you."
"Thank you Master Plo," they said. He bowed and the transmission cut off.
"You ready to go?" said Taran.
"Go where?" said Ahsoka.
"Long's letting us use his beach house. He got me ten days of leave for recuperation," said Taran.
"Are you okay?" she asked.
"I'm still a bit sore but I'm fine," he said. He looked down to realize that he was still in his hospital garb.
"I don't suppose we both have clothes do we?" said Taran.
"I think you might have some in the closet. My outfit got repaired so I think I'll be fine too. I'll be back," said Ahsoka.
"Okay. I'll meet you outside your room," said Taran. She nodded, kissing him quickly before she left. Taran went over to the closet and looked in. Inside was a green Elementian shirt and brown pants. Even his Jedi robes were in the closet, neatly folded on the bottom. There was also a black blag that could be used to hold the items. He took them out and put them on, the shirt giving him room so it wasn't hugging his skin. He picked up his robes and placed them on the bed, putting all the other items which included his lightsaber and staff on the bed as well. He also neatly folded up his hospital clothes and put them at the foot of the bed as designated. Taran clipped his lightsaber onto his pants belt and placed the other items in the bag. He left the room, giving one more glance over to make sure everything was clean before he left.
Ahsoka was outside her room, her signature clothes on and looking brand-new. He smiled to himself at her appearance. Once she saw him, the two walked down to the reception desk, checking in with the employee on duty and signing out.
"So how will we get there?" said Ahsoka.
"Have I ever taken you flying?" said Taran. She shook her head. Taran smiled and took out his staff. He pushed the button to get it to full-form.
"Hold on to the top part," he instructed. Ahsoka did as she was told, finding that the glider frame separated her from him.
"Hold on tight," said Taran. With that they shot off into the sky. Ahsoka was startled by the sudden speed of their ascent, but now she was calmly able to enjoy herself. It had been awhile since she had flown on anything. The cool air blew on her face, the wind electrifying her skin and montrals. She looked to the sides to see the island below them. The sparkling blue ocean surrounding it and the yellow sand beaches with swaying palm trees looked completely unreal from above. The volcanic black rock that made up the island gleamed like polish obsidian from above.
"This is amazing," said Ahsoka.
"I'm glad you like it. You might want to hold on again," said Taran. At that he nearly nosedived towards the ground. Ahsoka held on for dear life as he plummeted towards what looked like a quiet, secluded beach house on the northern tip, a beach a little distance away. He navigated them down swiftly yet serenely. They landed on the ground right outside the door.
"That was fun, yet scary," said Ahsoka as she got off the frame. Taran chuckled, shrinking the glider back down to carrying form. There was a note on the door. He took it off and read it.
"Dear Taran and hopefully Ahsoka,
The beach house is yours. Make sure you clean up any mess you make, I want it near tidy the next time I stay here, which probably won't be for awhile anyway. I left Fire Nation currency on the counter because I assume you might need clothes. The fridge is stocked as well. Take care.
Love, you uncle."
"Thanks," said Taran. He opened the door and the two walked in. The house was a cozy four room area. There was a kitchen, a guest bedroom, the master bedroom, and the living room, as well as two bathrooms, one connected to the master bedroom and the other connected to the guest room. Each was decorated with art and sculptures from the four nations. The master bedroom had a queen-sized bed and the living room a couch and holomonitor. It also had a slide door that allowed the occupant to look out to the ocean, giving them an amazing view.
"Wow," was all Ahsoka could say.
"You can say that again," said Taran. He placed his bag down and put his lightsaber on the counter.
"You want to go shopping?" he asked. She smiled, nodding her head.
When they got back, they had outfits for the next few days. It was already late into the evening when they arrived back.
"The fire jugglers event was nice," said Ahsoka, "but did you really have to join in?"
"I saw an opportunity and I took it," said Taran. Ahsoka laughed, a sound Taran loved to hear from her. They had already eaten, deciding to eat while they were out so that they didn't have to worry about it later.
"So what's next?" said Ahsoka.
"Bed?" said Taran. She followed Taran into the bedroom as he took off his shirt, beginning to take off the bacta patch. His injury still looked a little inflamed, and no amount of bacta would heal the scar, now slightly bigger than it was before. He sighed, running his fingers down it. He turned to Ahsoka as she was getting on her nightgown. It was crimson-red and stopped mid-thigh. She turned around to look at him when she was done slipping it on, her eyes immediately going to his scar. His eyes went where he had burned her, the patch of skin now just slightly darker than her skin. Their respective hands went to the spot, brushing their fingertips on it. Ahsoka's hand moved away from it to his chest. They drew closer before they leaned towards each other and kissed. She tilted her head to the side to deepen it. Their lips pressed together repeatedly before her tongue slid out first, asking for entrance to which he gave it to her.
Somehow, they made it onto the bed. Her opened for him to nestle himself in between as they kissed each other passionately, savoring the taste of the other. Taran left one last searing kiss on her lips before he pulled back to look down on her.
"Not tonight," he said. "I want to just lay here with you beside me." At first Ahsoka wondered why before she thought about the last part of the sentence, to which her eyes lit up. Taran placed another kiss on her before he lay on his side, facing her as she faced him. His arms wrapped around her as their legs intertwined. They continued to lay soft kisses on each other and felt the other as the minutes rolled by. Ahsoka lay one last kiss on him before her head nestled into his neck and she closed her eyes. Taran lay a kiss on her forehead and on each montral, having her sign in contempt before he too closed his eyes.
Taran awoke, Ahsoka gone. He sat up, listening for any sign of her. He heard what sounded like something frying and the smell of food. He got up, going to the bathroom connected to their bedroom to clean his teeth before he came out, slipping on a loose white shirt. When he got out, he went towards the kitchen, where he was greeted with a welcoming and mouthwatering sight. Ahsoka was wearing a red single shoulder-strapped midriff top and dark loose cloth pants and a red knee-high skirt over it, her necklace still adorned on her. She had made teriyaki chicken and rice with stir-fried peppers and vegetables as a side and was currently putting the last of it on the two dishes she had for them.
"Morning," she said. "When I woke up you were still asleep and I didn't want to wake you up just yet."
"I didn't know you knew how to make this," said Taran.
"Me neither until I looked up the recipe," said Ahsoka.
"You didn't have to make anything," said Taran, coming up beside her. Ahsoka put down her spoon and turned to him.
"I didn't; I wanted to," she said. She kissed him lightly, sighing into him. When they ended it he looked at her appearance, the clothing she wore turning him on.
"I'm guessing you like it?" she asked coyly.
"Very much so," he said, his hands on her bare waist.
"Well not yet lover boy, eat first," said Ahsoka pointing to his dish.
"Always the tease," said Taran. Ahsoka giggled, pushing him towards his chair. Taran sat down, picking up the chopsticks she had set on the table. He picked up a piece of chicken and put it in his mouth, chewing on it. The taste was absolutely amazing.
"This is...amazing," he said.
"Glad you like it," said Ahsoka, sitting down and beginning to eat hers. When they were done, Taran was savoring the aftertaste. Ahsoka made to pick up their dishes and cups.
"I got it," said Taran. He levitated the dishes and cups in midair with one hand and used the water from the sink, dashing it with some soap and swirling it around. At that he then moved the dishes and cups into the orb and used his bending to keep wash them thoroughly. One he judged they were done he used the Force to place them neatly on the drying rack and bended the water into the drain.
"What would Obi-Wan say if he saw that?" she said, smiling.
"That was complete misuse of your powers, but well done getting them sparkling clean," said Taran in his best Obi-Wan impression.
"Someone's been practicing," said Ahsoka. Her smiling went down a little.
"How are they?" she asked.
"They were still in the Outer Rim sieges when I last checked. I haven't seen them since then," said Taran. He went back to the table, sitting beside her closely.
"They'll be fine. There's not a situation that they haven't managed to get out of," he said. Ahsoka breathed in before a small smile returned.
"What about Rex and all of them?" she asked.
"They're fine, but Fives and Tup are dead," Taran said sadly.
"What happened?" said Ahsoka, her eyes widening from shock.
"Tup died from some kind of tumor that made him kill a Jedi commander, and Fives...I don't really know how to describe what happened to him. He was going on about some kind of plot and tried to harm the Chancellor, but when they went to apprehend him he went crazy and tried to shoot Commander Fox. They had to shoot him," said Taran. Ahsoka couldn't believe what she had just heard. Her head lowered in sadness.
"I didn't take the news well either," said Taran.
"How much longer does it have to go on?" said Ahsoka.
"I don't know, but I want to end soon, for everyone's sake," said Taran. He lifted her chin up, looking into her eyes before bringing his lips down on hers softly. She returned it, her right hand slowly going to the back of his head. They did this for a few more minutes, his hands on her shoulder and waist while hers were on his head and back. When they ended, their eyes gazed into each other. Her nose nuzzled his.
"Did you have any plans for us today?" she asked.
"There is one thing," said Taran.
"What would that be?" said Ahsoka. He grinned at her.
"What is this place?" Ahsoka asked. Taran stood beside her, changing into a green tunic from his white shirt. He also had his goggles at the half position on his forehead. He also had gotten her a pair, which she had in the same position on her head too. They were on another island in the Fire Nation archipelago, the island mostly stone and grass with outcroppings of trees elsewhere. In the center lay a massive oaken tree that went up for nearly 100 meters.
"You'll see," said Taran. He led her to the edge of the island, where, a stony cliff met the sea. It was a 15 meter drop to the sea below. Taran let out a large whistle that resounded for ten seconds. Nothing came in reply. Suddenly, a roar resounded from below them, making Ahsoka step back from the sheer force. Suddenly, a long gold and black shape shot out from below them, zipping into the air and flying around in a zigzag pattern before at lightning speed it shot towards them. Taran stepped back a little as the shape came came to a halt in front of him, the front of its body placed on the cliff while the rest clutched the cliff on the side.
It was 40 feet long with two horns atop its head and whiskers that fluttered next to its body. Its enormous wings were folded back. Its golden eyes gleamed at Taran, its teeth and fangs bared at him as a low growl emitted from it. Ahsoka was worried that the dragon might harm him, but Taran stepped forward with no fear or concern on his face or radiating from him.
"I know, I need to come see you more often Kaji," said Taran. He petted the dragon's nose. A humming sound came from the dragon, its expression changing to an amused look. Taran went over and got behind Ahsoka.
"This is Ahsoka, she's a person very dear to me," said Taran. The dragon's expression changed to something Ahsoka couldn't read. Taran gently took her hand and held it out, walking her closer to the dragon.
"Are you sure it's okay?" she asked, starting to become afraid.
"Don't worry, he won't hurt you. He's just studying you wondering if you're trustworthy or not," said Taran. They stopped right before him, Ahsoka closing her eyes and looking away, fearing the worst. The dragon looked at her, moving its head closer until her palm was touching his snout. She froze from the first contact before she realized the nose was warm. She opened her eyes and looked to see the dragon still looking at her, an amused look creeping into its features. She began petting the snout, earning her a lick from the dragon's tongue.
"He likes you," said Taran. Ahsoka smiled.
"Ready for the next part?" said Taran.
"Next part?"
"You don't think I got these goggles just because I look good," said Taran. He went over to the side and climbed on the side of the dragon's neck, sitting down on its neck right at the point where its head met it.
"Riding a dragon?" said Ahsoka.
"Yep. Not scared are you Snips?" said Taran, a mischievous look on his face. Ahsoka looked defiant, a pointed glare directed towards him.
"Never scared Gears," she said.
"Then prove it," said Taran, extending out his hand to her. With some slight hesitation, she grabbed on and he helped her get settled behind him. She wrapped her arms around him for support, the two placing their goggles on their eyes.
"Alright Kaji, show me what you can do," said Taran. The dragon roared and shot off from the ground at blinding speed. It went completely vertical in a climb through the air. Ahsoka held on tight to Taran, the wind whipping through her body. Suddenly the dragon leveled out and dove towards the ground. Ahsoka held on tighter as the falling sensation filled her body. The dragon kept diving, Taran smiling as they got closer and closer to the ocean.
"Please tell me he doesn't do this all the time!" Ahsoka said over the sound of the rushing wind.
"Just bear with him!" Taran said back. Kaji kept ding down until it looked like he was going to hit the sea, to which Ahsoka held her breath and closed her eyes, her head digging into Taran's back. Suddenly, he pulled out of his nosedive and go slower to a type of gliding over the sea's surface. Ahsoka opened her eyes and looked to see the sea sparkling beneath them. One of Kaji's wings came down to breach the surface, spraying water to their left. The sun reflecting off the mist made a miniature rainbow. Ahsoka couldn't believe her eyes. Kaji began to fly skywards towards the tree, doing a barrel roll. Ahsoka wasn't afraid, her eyes wide open in wonder and admiration from the sheer beauty of what she was seeing all around her.
They continued flying until they were in the branches of the trees, weaving in between them in their ascent to the the top. As they cleared the highest branch on top, they passed through a wall of leaves, finally reaching the tree's zenith. Ahsoka looked out. She could see some of the other islands in the Fire Nation to the west, and one over to the east. The view was truly breathtaking.
"Your turn," said Taran.
"My turn?" said Ahsoka. Taran moved skillfully around her until he was behind her, this time his arms wrapped around her. He guided her hands to the hair on the back of Kaji's head.
"Guide him, he'll do the rest," he said. Ahsoka nodded. She shifted her hands left, and Kaji altered his flight to go left. She shifted them right, and he went right.
"This is incredible," she said. She pressed down, and Kaji went into another headlong dive. This time she smiled as the feeling of flying got to her fully, her natural element. She would shift Kaji's direction until they were flying around the whole island. Around them, they saw dragons as well. Some flew around in different directions, others were lying curled on the ground. A few younglings even flew with them, one pulling up right next to her. She pet his head, the young dragon letting out a cry of contempt before speeding off with the others.
"You're a natural at this," said Taran. Ahsoka smiled, bringing Kaji back down to the surface of the sea for one last glide through before they headed back towards the tree.
"How do I get him to land?" she asked.
"Pull back and use both hands to rub in a circle," said Taran. She nodded, directing him to the base of a very large branch where three people could walk side by side and still have room to look over. She did the motion Taran taught her and Kaji landed there. Taran and her got off of him, Ahsoka looking around the environment when her feet made contact with the woods. All around she saw other dragons flying through the branches or laying on them, resting.
"What is this place?" she asked.
"This is Dragon Island. It's a sanctuary for all dragons. The island's large enough for them to roam around feed themselves, and only a few people are allowed to come here," said Taran.
"This place is amazing," said Ahsoka.
"It is. I knew you'd like it. It's hard to imagine a few thousand years ago, these guys were nearly extinct," said Taran, petting Kaji's scales.
"How?"
"Firebenders would come and kill them to gain prestige, until Firelord Zuko put an end to it," said Taran. "Now, their numbers are probably in the thousands. They're all over the planet now."
"It's hard to imagine the world without them. They're very magnificent creatures," said Ahsoka, stroking Kaji's snout. The dragon sighed in contempt.
"Thank you for bringing me here," said Ahsoka.
"You're most welcome," said Taran, hugging her to him as they looked out through the branches.
They got back later in the evening, Taran and her flying again. Taran even had another dragon fly Ahsoka around. She named her Angel in Togruti. Taran made their dinner for the night, steamed fish and a bowl of mixed fruit. They ate their fill in contempt, this time Ahsoka washing the dishes, with a little help from the Force.
"Now what would Obi-Wan say?" said Taran.
"Probably the same thing, and that you're a bad influence on me," said Ahsoka. Taran laughed as she out up the last one. Ahsoka sighed, stretching her back before she came over to him, sitting on his lap.
"Thank you for today," she said. "It's funny that even though I've been to your planet before, there's still so much I haven't learned about it."
"I'm glad I'm helping you learn more," said Taran. "Beach tomorrow sound fun?"
"I'd love it," said Ahsoka. She kissed him, which he returned. Though it started out innocent, the kiss soon became heated. She fully turned into him until she was straddling his lap, her arms wrapped around his neck as his were around her waist, massaging her exposed back. They pulled back, green eyes meeting blue.
"Tonight?" he asked.
"Tonight," she said, kissing him passionately again. He rose up out of the seat, her legs wrapping around his waist as he held her by the small of her back. They did not stop their kissing as he walked them both back to the bedroom, closing the door back with his foot.
