Clary's P.O.V When we landed it was to late to go or do really anything so we hailed a cab headed straight for a hotel. The cab ride was a little unbearable, because first of all the cab driver decided that Thrift Shop was jam so he had it turned up pretty loud despite it being 3 in the morning, on top of that he tapped the steering wheel which is something I find pretty annoying. The second thing was that both my parents seemed to be on edge so the atmosphere of the car was pretty tense, and the music was not helping. We reached the hotel and we just crashed, all of us were pretty tired and jet lag wasn't helping. So we all slept in one room and my parents seemed to sleepy to protest. In the morning it was a different story we woke up and my parents were on a mission so no time for breakfast except for a quick bagel. To which my stomach protested to, but apparently that wasn't enough to change there minds. We took another cab and when my mom told the driver the address he looked at her a little weirdly but then shook his head and complied anyway. "Clary." My mom said, "You might be a little overwhelmed with all the information that is coming your way but all I want to say is." She took a pause for a breath, "That don't get to angry with me we did what we had to." She smiled weakly at me then turned her head to look out the window. I sighed and Jeff grabbed my hand and whispered in my ear, "Don't worry we'll get through this together." He smiled down at me and I smiled back. I then put my head on his shoulder for the rest of the trip. When we got to our destination I could see why the cab driver was confused as to why we wanted to go here. It was a run down church, that was probably once very beautiful with towering arches and interact designs, well let me tell you time has not been good to this building. Now the paint was cracking and half washed away, there was random stones just hanging out through the lot, plus the thing had no roof! As to why my parents were taking us here I had no idea. "Umm Mr. and Mrs. Fray?" Jeff said, "This is cool and all but why are we here?" My parents turned to look at us, my mom replied while giving a knowing look to my dad, "Oh, that's right you guys don't have the sight right now, ok try this." She turned back to the building, "Close your eyes and concentrate." She said in a calming tone, "Pretend your wasing away at something to reveal another thing underneath." I concentrated and then opened my eyes to see, nothing except the same old run down building. I was felt with disappointment, which my father seemed to see, "Don't give up, it may a couple of try's." I closed my eyes again this time I imagined rubbing off a top layer of paint on a canvas to find another painting underneath. I opened my eyes and gasped. What stood in front of me now was not a run down church but instead a massive beautiful cathedral. It was colored very beautifully, and had tall towers with many windows. In the front was a massive gate guarding two awfully large doors leading into the church. I heard Jeff whistle clearly impressed with the massive structure. I wondered if anyone lived here or if it was still a church, I was guessing it was the first one. My father walked up to the gate and tried to open it but they didn't seem to budge. He looked at the gates with resentment and a little bit of sadness before he turned to my mother who seemed to be watching him with a little bit of amusement. He glared at her and said, "Jocelyn if you please." He made a swooping gesture with his arm, and my mother gave him a smug look while walking towards the gate. All my mother needed to do was to touch it and the gates opened. Jeff and I stood there with our mouths hanging open, and he reached for my hand (I guess because either he was scare, or thought that I was scared. For his sake I'm going with the latter) and we walked together to where my parents were. I gulped as I walked closer to the towering building. My mom opened the door and we went inside. Ok, I owe you guys a major apology. This chapter came majorly late and I'm really sorry for that. It was all due to company, procrastination, and writers block. But I think I'm finally over it (hopefully _). Another apology about how short this chapter is but I really tried, I just want to stretch this part out for as long as I can so it is going to be a little bit of short chapters for about maybe two more chapters. On that note I hope you all had a wonderful March break (If you had one) and if you didn't then I hope you had a great week! Hope you all enjoyed the chapter, Ciao, Sarah
