"Twins?" Fin asked, "How did they not see that?"

"I don't really know. I don't even know if they're identical or fraternal. Right now, she's in the NICU to get her a little more stabilized. She was having problems breathing," Elliot said.

"When will we be able to see her and Liv?" asked Munch.

"Liv should be heading here shortly, but she has to stay where she is for now."

Sophia started to fuss a little with the mixed emotions filling the room. Alex handed her to Elliot who cradled her gently to his chest. She settled almost immediately.

They heard a noise coming their way and looked up to see Olivia being wheeled into the room. She was fully awake and alert and definitely happy to see everyone.

"Hey, baby, how do you feel?" Elliot asked.

"I'm okay. It only stings a little."

"Well, there's someone who would like to meet you."

Elliot handed Sophia to Olivia who looked at the baby girl in awe.

"She's perfect, El."

"Yeah, I know."

"What happened after her being born?"

"They didn't tell you?"

Olivia shook her head.

"Well, you were bleeding a lot. I had to leave the room. Then I talked to the doctor and he said that they got the bleeding to stop and that our other baby girl is in the NICU trying to get stabilized."

"Wait, what?"

"Sophia is a twin."

Olivia gaped at him.

"You mean to tell me that I gave birth to not one, but two babies?"

"That's what I'm saying."

Olivia looked back at Sophia, memorizing her features.

"When can we see her?"

"As soon as she's stabilized."

"Congratulations, Liv," said Alex as she moved next to her to hug her.

"Thanks, Alex."

"Hey, Baby Girl, we brought gifts!" Fin said pointing to the flowers and stuffed animals littering her bedside tables.

Olivia smiled and chuckled.

"Thanks, guys."

"Alright, let's give the new parents some time," Cragen said.

"But she just got here," Munch said.

Cragen gave him a look and he sighed.

"See you later, Liv. Take care of our girl, Elliot," Munch said.

"Will do," Elliot said.

The gang left and Olivia sighed contently. At that moment, her OBGYN came into the room with a knock.

"Hello, Olivia, how are you feeling?" she asked.

"I'm okay. I'm stinging a little, but I couldn't be happier to have my babies."

"I'm glad. We'll see about getting you something for the stinging."

"Thanks."

"No problem. Your other daughter is doing well. She's already breathing on her own and is stable. You can come see her if you like."

"Yes, please!"

"Alright, I'll have a nurse bring in a wheelchair."

"I don't need one. I can walk."

"Liv, you just had surgery. Relax a little," Elliot said, "They're gonna mind Sophia so I can push you down to the NICU."

Olivia looked at him.

"We can take Sophia with us. That way we can have our whole family together."

"Is that okay, Doc?" Elliot asked.

"Absolutely," she replied.

Olivia grinned as she looked to Sophia who stared at her with bright blue eyes.

"Hey, sweet girl, you ready to meet your sister?"

Sophia opened and closed her hand. Elliot put his finger in her hand and she clenched his finger tightly.

"I'll go get that wheelchair for you," said the doctor who felt like she was intruding on such a sweet family moment.

"Thanks," Olivia said again.

The doctor left the room and about fifteen minutes later, a nurse came in with a wheelchair. Olivia handed Sophia off to Elliot and the nurse helped her, as much as Olivia would allow, into the wheelchair. Elliot gave Sophia back to her mother and they left to meet their other baby girl.

Once at the NICU, they looked in the window to see the bassinet holding their other daughter.

"El, she needs a name."

Olivia read the nameplate where is just said "Baby Girl Stabler."

"We only decided on one girl's name because we thought Sophia was the only one."

"I know, but she still is going to need a name."

"I know."

Olivia gave it some thought.

"What about Serena, after your mother?"

"I don't know, El. There aren't a lot of fond memories with my mother."

"You're right. I'm sorry."

"Don't get me wrong, I loved my mother, but she never showed her love for me that well."

Elliot sighed. They both were silent as they thought of names for their precious surprise. As they thought, the NICU nurse came out and told them that they could come in. Elliot wheeled Olivia into the NICU to where their daughter was being held. She stuck her hand into the bassinet and touched her little girl's hand. Her vital signs immediately improved more at that touch.

"That's right, baby girl. Momma is right here."

Elliot reached in the same way and ran his finger along her cheeks. Her heartbeat went up and held a steady, strong pulse.

"Your Daddy is here too. We love you so much, sweetheart."

"Do you want to give her an "S" name too?"

"Hmm, I don't know."

Looking at their beautiful little girl in front of them, Sophia made a noise and they smiled.

"We didn't forget you were here, sweetie."

Sophia began to fuss again. Olivia tried to settle her, but it wasn't working. Elliot took Sophia and began to rock her, but it wasn't working either.

"What's wrong? Is she hungry?"

"I don't think so. Let me see if she'll try to feed."

Olivia took Sophia back and tried to get her to latch on, but she wouldn't. She kept turning her head away from Olivia's breast.

"I don't know what's wrong!"

A nurse came in to see what was going on.

"I've tried feeding her. She doesn't have a dirty diaper or anything."

"I have an idea," Elliot said.

He took Sophia from Olivia and gently placed her into the bassinet with their other girl. Sophia immediately settled and moved to where her hand was touching her sister. Olivia looked on in shock.

"How did you know that would work?"

"I just remembered that when we couldn't get Elizabeth to calm down, we'd put Dickie next to her and she'd calm down instantly. That's how twins are. Their bond is unique."

Olivia smiled at him.

"I love you, Elliot."

"I love you too."

"She still needs a name."

"I know. I was thinking Maya."

"As a first or middle name?"

"First, and Nicole for a middle name?"

"That sounds beautiful. Maya Nicole Stabler and Sophia Grace Stabler, our beautiful baby girls."

"Welcome to the world."
