Goldar and the Adder laughed menacingly as they began to stomp across downtown Feron Grove. Their heavy footsteps caused even more civilians to try and find cover under anything. The question was would any of them survive.
"We won't be able to take these monsters down by ourselves," Tracey said, standing dead-legged as he looked at the gargantuan beasts.
"We've got to cut them down to size," said Misty, turning to the others. "I think it's time to call our Dinozords!"
"Sounds like just what we need!" Brock responded.
"Yeah! Let's be careful though. We need to make sure nobody gets caught in the crossfire." Lia asked.
"You bet! Let's call them together!" Ash commanded.
Raising their hands to the sky, the Power Rangers shouted in unison, "Dinozord Power!" With those words, the five colossal fighting machines awoke and emerged from their hidden faraway sanctuaries. Tyrannosaurus rose from a mighty chasm in the mountains, Mastodon broke away from a giant glacier, Triceratops charged across a vast desert, Saber-Tooth Tiger darted across a jungle, and Pterodactyl flew out from the mouth of an active volcano.
In a matter of a few minutes, the Dinozords met and made their way across the canyon in a remote area of the city, reaching the center lightning fast. Townspeople and passers-by froze in their tracks in shock, awe, and fear as the prehistoric beings kept going.
The Power Rangers leapt with superhuman ability to the top of their Zords, entering the cockpits and syncing up.
"Red Ranger here. Log on!"
"Black Ranger, this is awesome!
"This is the Blue Ranger. All systems go!"
"The Yellow Ranger is powered up and ready!"
"Pink Ranger, let's mash these monsters!"
The Adder and Goldar turned from their rampage and noticed the Dinozords were coming after them. Goldar waved them off and swung his sword toward a school bus full of screaming children. Before the beast could finish his attack, Tyrannosaurus Dinozord caught his blade in mid-swing and used its tail to trip him. Screaming turned into enthusiastic cheers.
Before Adder could add more poison to his toxic cloud, Mastodon and Saber Tooth Tiger rammed into him.
"Switching to Megazord, now!" the Red Ranger yelled, hitting a button on his control deck.
The other Rangers followed suit and joined the Tyrannosaurus Dinozord, the main body of the Megazord, in forming a powerful tank. Triceratops and Saber Tooth Tiger formed legs while Mastodon Dinozord contorted itself into arm cannons. The Pterodactyl perched on the back of the tank as an additional turret. All five Power Rangers now manned controls in one cockpit.
"Dino Tank is online!" the Blue Ranger reported as they headed straight for the monsters down the street.
"Watch out!" shouted Pink Ranger. Goldar threw flames from his blood-red eyes, causing the tank to rock violently. They experienced another large tremor as the Adder shot energy from his disgusting maw.
The Power Rangers responded with two volleys of cannon fire from the Mastodon. The Dino Tank came to a halt as the monsters tried to get up from the blasts.
"Activating Megazord Battle Mode!" Ash called, pressing two more buttons near him.
"Megazord sequence has been initiated!" a robotic voice said as the cannons rotated into arms; the shoulders opened up to provide better protection and mobility. The mech rose to its feet as the Pterodactyl Dinozord flew around its counterpart, bringing its head and wings into itself. Then, the Megazord's chest opened and the Tyrannosaurus' head moved into the compartment, revealing a robotic face with three horns and yellow eyes. As the Pterodactyl formed the chest plate, the Megazord's horns fanned out, the eyes flashed, and lightning struck at its feet as a new command confirmed "Megazord Activated!"
Though there was danger in the city, people tried to get as close as they could to see the action, wearing gas masks and ducking behind places the Adder's cloud couldn't reach them. They cheered and rooted the Megazord on as it tangled with Goldar and the Adder. After landing a couple of thunderous punches and kicks, the Rangers were on the defensive as Goldar hit a missile dropkick, sending the Megazord to the ground.
"Increase the power!" Brock cried as they forced the Megazord to a vertical state. But more powerful blows didn't work as the hybrid alien blocked each one and chopped Megazord across the chest with a knife-hand strike.
"That didn't work!" Lia said. "Increase shields!"
The Pink Ranger's suggestion came just in time, as the Adder leapt forward and sank its teeth into the robot's shoulder. In a flash of sparks and electricity, the Megazord fell face first to the ground.
"Come on robot!" yelled one of the spectators. "Stop these guys!"
"You can do it!" a woman added, jamming her fist in the air.
"Those monsters aren't stronger than you! We believe in you!" a kid cheered, getting his friends to join him.
"Your powers and those meaningless bottom feeders won't save you!" the Adder said, laughing.
"We'll see about that!" Ash shot back. "Power Sword!"
Light flickered in the sky as a giant silver sword dropped down and landed in the Megazord's right hand. Goldar attempted to undercut the Rangers with his blade, but was blocked with the machine's left arm and fell to a parry from the right. The Adder did a double take, shocked at what happened.
"Plasma Slash!" the Power Rangers roared together. Thunder and lightning rumbled and flashed as the Megazord raised the Power Sword, the weapon glowing with light. In an instant, the Megazord swung at the Adder with all its might. The Adder screeched in defeat as it tumbled to the surface and exploded.
Goldar got up and faced the Power Rangers, looking like he was readying for another attack.
"That was foolish luck! I'll be back!" he bellowed, and in a fiery blaze, he vanished. Saying Rita would be angry about his retreat was a huge understatement.
The Power Rangers cried out in victory along with the residents of Feron Grove. They had faced an insurmountable challenge together, and they triumphed together.
