A/N: Hello! It's been a while, hasn't it? It's been a few months, but I'm finally writing chapter seven. Yay! I'm excited, are you excited? Of course you're excited. Also, thank you for the reviews! You guys are awesome!
In the TARDIS...
The Doctor's eyes fluttered open and he saw the TARDIS ceiling over him, comfortable on the bed in the hidden bedroom. He slowly got up, wearing nothing but boxers and dark green sweatpants. He looked at the beautiful twenty-one year old ginger girl laying on the bed, wearing a dark red nightdress and curled up into a ball. The Doctor then walked downstairs, quickly putting on a t-shirt, something that rarely happened. He walked out of the room and stepped out into the warm morning Paris air, feeling the sun beam down on his face. He walked into a bakery and immediately smelled the hot pastries being made. He smiled at the man behind the counter. "Two croissants please." He said, grateful for the TARDIS's translation system.
The man behind the counter smiled back and handed the Doctor two croissants. "Merci!" said the Doctor, smiling and running back to the TARDIS as quick as he could.
Back inside the TARDIS...
Scarlett opened her eyes slowly, smelling her favorite hot pastry, croissants. She smiled, hearing the TARDIS door creak close behind the Doctor. She closed her eyes again, hearing his soft footsteps. He slowly opened the door and walked over to the bed, setting the croissants on the nightstand and climbing over her, moving his face downwards until their lips met, her eyes opening with a smirk. He pulled away and she mumbled under him. "Good morning to you, too."
"Happy two year anniversary." He smiled.
"It's not really an anniversary." Scarlett said. "I mean, we're not married, and we never really called this dating."
"Fine." He looked into her eyes. "Then happy two years since you kissed me in the control room-versary." He joked.
"Anniversary is more catchy." She joked back.
"Defenitely more catchy." He leaned back in and kissed her again, before pulling away and handing her one of the croissants. "I got these for you."
"We can't let them get cold, now can we?" She said, taking a bite. They ate together before he stood up, looking at her. "Come with me, I have a surprise for you."
She stood up and quickly changed into a red shirt, white pants, and black sneakers, walking up to the control room with him.
"Where are we going?" She asked, eyes full of excitement.
"You'll see." He smiled, flipping switches before pulling the final lever, making the TARDIS whirr.
"You always leave the brakes on." She laughed.
"I like the sound." He shrugged.
"I can tell." She laughed again as the TARDIS stopped, and the Doctor led her out the main door, gripping her hand.
"Welcome..." They walked out. "To the Paradise Plains Space Cruise." She looked around, seeing the elegant bedroom he had obviously gotten for them prior to then, and looking out the large window, where she could see a small purplish-green planet off in the distance, stars scattered around them. Her eyes widened, pressing against the glass. "I'll take it you like it then?" He laughed.
"Doctor... it's amazing." She marveled.
"I'm glad you think so." He closed the distance between them and put a hand to her face, pulling her closer and kissing her.
"Doctor... I love you." She said, looking into his eyes.
Only one thought was in his mind when she said that. Rose.
He pulled away hastily. "I.. I need some air." He stammered out, walking to the door.
"Was it something I said?" Scarlett asked.
In the Ballroom...
The Doctor sat at one of the empty tables and ordered a drink, unable to take his thoughts off of Rose. He hadn't thought of her for two years. She was gone, another dimension. He would never see her again.
"Excuse me?" A familiar voice said, and the Doctor looked up. He saw a woman standing there with fiery red hair pulled up into a neat bun, and deep blue eyes the color of the sea. She was wearing a dark red dress that went past her ankles, where he saw black high heels. It took him a moment to realize who he was looking at; Scarlett. "Is this seat taken?" She gestured to the seat next to him.
"No, go ahead." He smiled. As she was about to sit down, he stood up. "Actually, would you care to dance?" His eyes darted from her to the dance floor.
"Sure." The two walked to the floor, and began dancing.
"You look beautiful, Scarlett." The Doctor looked into her deep blue eyes.
"Thank you." She smiled as he leaned in for a kiss. Their lips were as about to touch as a red light flooded through the room and a loud, wailing alarm went off.
"Oh, come on!" The Doctor pulled away and started walking out of the ballroom.
