My apologies for not updating in like... forever... I graduated *yayz* last year... *is shot* and I can't use the excuse that I forgot about this, I just had my focus elsewhere but as I'm starting ANOTHER lotr marathon... again... I should update since I'm all excited and stuff since I just finished the 2nd hobbit. Which was AWESOME~! But yeah... I'm uber tired so this part may just be really odd or off kilter or confuzzling... but yeah... its mostly fighting...

With curious eyes I began climbing up the stone structure to gain a vantage point before sitting down between some rocks, all of this looked so familiar. But, I just couldn't remember from where. Letting out a sigh I took in a deep breath as I began to reset myself, the blowing of the wind and the cloudy sky made me feel at home. I opened my eyes as I watched the shorter people wonder about. Before I knew it I had fallen asleep, my head resting against a rock and the broadsword cradled in my arms.

"Hey... sleepy head, wake up!" A voice called to me, it was so soft, and so comforting. I shook my head in protest I was warm, and I was comfortable. "If you don't wake up, you'll let your friends down! You... don't want to... see her cry again... do you...?"

My head slowly lulled around as my eyes tried to open, but it was just so difficult.

"Come on, that's it... You're almost there." The voice cheered.

Emerald eyes pried themselves open to see darkness, I slowly looked around my body beginning to wake with every movement.

"Now hurry... you don't have much time!" The voice warned before fading.

I rose up wielding my broadsword in my right hand as I turned to look at my friends, there was a fire burning. I stared at it, my mind having a slower time to wake up. Then it clicked. My eyes widened as I made to run for the fire but Frodo beat me to it and stamped it out screaming at his friends for being such idiots. My eyes snapped towards the moor that surrounded us, not even a minute later and that familiar scream echoed. The same one from last night at the Prancing Pony, the same one after I had been shot. I slammed my sword against the shattered pillar next to me, causing a 'clang' to catch their attention. I waved my hand ushering them up here, it was only a matter of time, and without Strider. We wouldn't have the best odds of fighting them if any of us got injured, not like they were in our favor as it was. Taking in a deep breath I took a fighting stance as we crowded together with our backs together, I instantly began searching my brain for a character that used something similar to a broadsword. Releasing another slow breath I relaxed my soldiers and took a smaller stance as I drew my legs in close before stepping forward with one leg and raising my sword so I was in a position for a lunge. My eyes opened a cold look in them as we watched the darkness, and soon, the figures began to approach. As they came forward they unsheathed their two handed swords and took a Sentinel like stance and came closer, one step at a time. My body stopped itself as it tried to lunge, Sam rushed forward, he was easily parried and cast aside like a doll. 'Now...' My body growled, still I refused to attack instead I stepped back with Frodo behind me. Merry and Pippin were cast aside just as easily as Sam was. 'NOW!' My body screamed as Frodo dropped his sword, I could feel his fear as it began to ebb itself into me. I nearly dropped my own sword, 'No! I can't let them down!' Frodo fell to the ground and stared in horror at the abominations before us, they suddenly stopped. I do not know for what reason, and as the middle one approached I launched forth. As I lunged my sword closed the distance between his and in one swift movement that immediately opened my torso's wounds I swung around and slashed upwards forcing the things sword skyward. My eyes narrowed as I forced myself back crouching down before rushing forwards, the wounds in my legs screamed in protest.

My sword was rushing straight for where the heart should be, but without warning four other swords rushed in. My eyes widened as I registered the other enemies, and in fear I staggered back stumbling over my own two feet and falling into a kneeling position. I dove out of the way as a sword came careening down where my head had just been, barely grazing my leg as I forced myself to my feet. I was now barely managing to deflect the blows coming from one of them and as I lost my footing again I heard Frodo scream. My eyes darted over to where he was and I could feel my blood turn hot as rage and anger erupted inside of me, "NO!" I roared out, a sharp pain erupted throw my body as I screamed and charged forwards slamming my shoulder into my opponent's body and forcing him back as I slammed his sword out of the way. I bit back tears as the cold armor bit into me as I fell to the ground. As he stumbled back to his feet he began to come towards me and in a flash of orange and yellow a bestial scream erupted as Strider came bursting in above us. He swung his torch and sword back and forth forcing them back. As I picked up on his courage I pulled myself up and rushed forward to help him fight them back, but as I had lost the image in my head. I could only fight as well as a clueless and enraged girl could. As Strider got a shot in with his torch light erupted over us as the flames spread, I lunged forward swinging madly at one of the many wraiths, ever so slowly I began picking up on Strider's style as I caught glimpses of his swings and strokes. My game ready mind filling in blanks that one normally couldn't, my onslaught only became more vicious and more precise as they started retreating it. Metal clashing with metal echoed over the stone around us as we pushed forwards, 'I won't let her cry!'. Rushed through my head over and over again, my face began to feel hot and my chest felt tight as I pushed back more and more. And before I realized it I was watching as the wraiths had began falling back, my mind felt so numb, unable to pick up on what was going on behind me as I stared the darkness down that those things had disappeared into.

"-re! aire-! Claire!"

I spun around to see who had called me my previous rage all but gone as I stared at the horrified looks of my friends, Strider had picked Frodo up and with a brief glance my way began darting off. With us right behind them, the grip I had on my sword made my hand ache but my body refused to let it go. The fear and horror just wouldn't allow me to, I felt that that sword was my only lifeline that was keeping me from collapsing, from losing it. So I held it as tight as I could, oblivious to the blood dripping down my hand as I chased after them. I don't know how much time had passed as frantic shouting was yelled back and forth between everyone and I, was just a helpless mute. Unable to say or do anything as I ran just barely able to stay caught up. This, was the most horrifying time of my life, and in this strange world, it wouldn't be the last.
