I know it's super duper early how I normally post, but I was like way surprised to see how many views I got. Just wow. But yeah here you go my update, and an anti nazgul cookie to anyone who can guess who Claire is talking to. She is an actual character, who is super pretty~ (probably gave it away) so here we go, more in depth with Claire. Sorry bout my typos, sometimes I just can't pick up on them.

I sat there and watched them quickly talk back and forth as they tried to save Frodo. I pulled my knees closer to my chest as I sat on a stone troll's arm, well out of their way. Everytime I heard Frodo gasp for air or groan, the pain my heart would shudder and I would shrink back. 'If only I had just charged forward, ignored the pain, fought harder, did something! Then maybe he wouldn't be in this much pain... Even if I had been killed in the process. I should have done something. I should have...'

'You did your best, you're still just a child. You can't blame yourself...' The voice from before said.

I roughly shook my head, 'I could have done more!' I screamed back in my head as tears began to prick at my eyes.

'Your friend is alive... you've done what you could...'

I grit my teeth together as I tightened my hand into a fist, a bitter thought silencing the conversation between me and the voice, 'He's dieing. I could have always done something more.'

During my internal struggle I had found myself staring at a flawless woman, she in turn gave me a confused look before she went back to Frodo. My heart stopped as I had followed her gaze, he had gotten so much worse in just that small amount of time. Hie eyes had turned a frightening blue and he was nearly as white as snow. I slid off of the arm I had been perched on and stared in confusion as Strider picked Frodo up and put him on a horse and began speaking to the woman, I could only pick up every other word and as I turned back to my friends and then back to Strider and the lady elf no one answered my confused look. And just like that the woman was riding off with Frodo leaving the rest of us behind, I began sprinting after them but wasn't able to get three steps before Strider pulled me back and made me look at him.

"Trust her, she will get Frodo to Rivendell and to safety." He said in an almost calming voice, but the look in my eyes obviously screamed I didn't trust her. "If we accompany her they won't make it! Don't you understand?! Frodo will die if you give chase! I know you tried your hardest to protect him and everyone else here, but sometimes no matter how hard you try it won't do any good." His grip tightened on my arm, 'was he really scared for Frodo?' I looked up at him though he was a good actor, your eyes never lie. 'He is scared...' I slowly nodded and began to pull away but was stopped as he refused to let go.

"What's wrong Mr. Strider?" I could hear Sam ask from behind me as he voiced my own question.

"Your eyes..." I gave him a confused look and without warning he turned my head to the side and trailed his fingers from my right eye down my neck to my shoulder where he tugged my shirt down. "When did you get cut?"

I tilted my head as I reached up and felt the wound, that's right I forgot all about it. I shook my head as I mimicked an archer firing an arrow and tapped my wound. I stopped as I stared off, 'That's right... I was walking home and I was shot at... and then I fell... and fell...'

"How long have you had this cut?" He asked as he looked at the wound seeing that the black was spreading down my arm and towards my lung.

I simply pointed at Sam where he got a look from Strider, he immediately got the message. "Uh, we met up with her when we were preparing to leave the Shire and she's been with us since. I think... about seven days?" He asked more than he stated.

"You've had this wound for a week?" Something sounded off in Strider's voice as he gave me a confused and worried look. I shrugged before slowly nodding, "It's progressed this much and yet... you're still human...?" He mumbled to himself before he finally let go of me and picked up a strange looking weed.

I looked at Sam but I just got the same confused look he had, we turned back to watch what Strider was doing. "Well, it was a week before we met you... so..." Sam looked at his fingers before mumbling back and forth between Merry and Pippin. "Twenty..." He looked back missing Striders nearly horrified face, "Five, Twenty five days we think. She's been with us since we've started traveling."

"Twenty five days?!" He yelled causing them to jump and stare at him like he was crazy, without warning Strider bound up and locked eyes with me again. "What other wounds do you have?!" I looked up before mouthing what wounds I had as I ran a finger across each and everyone I could remember, as well as mouthing how they happened. I shook my head unsure of how I could answer, especially with it being so dark that it'd be to difficult to read. He looked at me with his grey eyes thinking on how two better phrase the question.

"Have you received any more wounds from the Nazgul?" He finally asked. I gave him a confused look at the name, it wasn't my fault they talked about these things when I was asleep, or spacing off, he seemed to understand what I was thinking, "Those black wraiths that attacked us."

A look of understanding crossed my face as I released a silent 'oh' and nodded my head before tapping my neck subconsciously and bent down to look at the back of my leg, there was a thin cut and then pulled at my other sleeve where I had tackled one of the Nazgul, it was just scuffed up a little. I raised my hand and held up three fingers before waving side to side, 'three kindaish' was what I tried to say.

Strider looked over them as he scrutinized the damage, before he bit down down on the weed and began chewing before slapping a glob onto my shoulder causing me to shudder. The reasons why, One it was hot and the air was cold, Two that was just in his mouth, and Three it kinda stung, like really bad. "That should keep the progression at bay until we reach Rivendell where they can properly heal you." I nodded turning to get ready to leave right then and there but paused when I looked over my friends, they were exhausted, and now that I noticed I was to. I let out a yawn before rubbing my throat, "We'll leave at dawn."

I nodded my consent as I took up my perch on the stone arm off the damp ground and rested against it as I cradled the sword Strider had given me, it gave me a calm piece of my mind. I missed the look I was given as I fell into a light sleep, it was a nice black one, no dreams, no nightmares. And I could barely pick up the sounds of the forest around us before my ears went to sleep. My last thought for the night was, Strider has pretty eyes.

So you guys now know why she can't speak, well if you noticed it. There shall be more depth about it later and yeah, he does have some pretty eyes. =/w/= But yeah, I should be posting real soon, I try to post every time they camp so it doesn't end up like 10k long. And I feel it gives you a sense of the day.
