More over this is a more fun loving chapter to try and calm things down, that and to make Claire blush and make funny noises.

Surprisingly I woke up first and as I looked around it shocked me that they were all still asleep, I mean come on I was always the last person to wake up. A soft smile spread across my lips as I watched them sleep, 'they were all so cute, even Strider, well sleeping cute not cute cute. I mean yeah he was cute, but not like i like like him.' I froze as I heard a soft laugh, my eyes snapped towards the source, which was who not what, I was staring at. Strider was watching me and was obviously enjoying the looks that were crossing my face as I had my internal struggle on whether he was cute or not. Cue me blushing, I stood up and quickly scrambled up the stone arm and sat on top of the trolls head as I stared at an oh so interesting looking tree, while I waited for my blush to die down. I silently played with the broadsword as I quickly lost interest in the tree I was staring at, I mean come on, its a frekin' tree.

"Did I have something on my face?" He asked from behind me I could hear him packing his gear up after going over it. With our backs to each other I was glad he didn't see me nearly falling off the troll as I struggled to catch the sword that I had started playing with. I glanced back seeing him glance over my sleeping friends before looking towards me, which I immediately looked away. I stared down at my sword before unsheathing it and looking into it, my right eye had started turning a blue and where it was normally white, you could see it starting to turn black. 'So that's how he knew.' I proceeded to inspect my face, in the face it was barely noticeable, but if you cast a shadow on it, it was as clear as day. I pulled my shirt collar down to see how close it was before I was snapped out of my self examination. "Do you feel strange?"

I looked at him before shaking my head, 'A little tired, but that's normal'' I scribbled out as I handed him the piece of paper.

He nodded his head before looking up at me, "I see... if you feel sick or if something is off, just let me know." I returned his nod as I slid off the troll and we went to waking my friends.

'You called those wraith's Nazgul's. Is there special names for everything here?' I scribbled out before handing it to Strider.

He gave me a curious look before answering my question with another question, "Do you really not know?" I shook my head before shrugging, he gave me a weary nod before answering me. "Well, what exactly do you want to know? I'm not sure what you mean by 'special names'."

'Uhm...' I tapped my pencil against the paper with no idea how to really ask said question so I took a shot in the dark, 'Tell me about this worlds history, and to make things easier on you. Talk to me like I'm mentally retarded or something.' He laughed at that before he nodded and began his explanation.

I'd nod and give him confused looks every now and again as I thought things over even laugh when the Hobbits, as I was told, would throw in stories. Overall it, was a pleasant trip we'd stop every now and then, continue with the stories or take a break and spar. Things were, relaxing and I could take time to look over the scenery and found myself stopping and gazing ahead as we stopped for the day and made camp. As I squinted looking through the last of the light I could make out a river, and further on a forest before finally a cliff.

"Claire, come eat with us." Pippin hollered, gaining my attention at the word eat.

I turned away and began to walk towards them before plopping down on a rock with my food and listened as everyone spoke.

"We've come a long ways, Rivendell isn't that much farther away." Strider motioned to where I had been staring off to moments ago.

"You don't see a lot of this where we're from, what about you Claire?" Merry laughed out as he shoved some bread in his mouth. I shook my head as I looked around before turning my gaze to the sky.

"I travelled across the country with my dad and I have to admit, as you go along you see many places many people, but all in all, a lot of places look the same. But here, it's different. Even the stars are different, the moon, the sun, its as if I'm seeing them for the first time. I feel homesick at times but, I'm glad I'm able to join you guys on this adventure. I do miss my friends, but, I never really got to hang out with them much or speak with them. Instead I was always in the basement playing games or sleeping. That's why I'm so slow. Lazy is bad. Very baaaad." Sam read before laughing at the end.

"So you've travelled before?" Strider asked.

I nodded before sipping on some potato soup and scribbling on my notebook before handing it over.

"I have, it took us about three weeks to go across the country and back, I preferred it when we were constantly moving, but when we had to stop, oh my gods it was horrible. We'd have to sit for three days at a time because the places we'd go into wouldn't load us on certain days and ugh. The worst was when we were in the tropical area, it may smell and look pretty, but that air is so. Ew. It's so humid there all day and all night and then when it rains you're up to your ankles in water. And it wouldn't be so bad but the rain was all hot and it mixed in with your sweat." Pippin read before looking at her and laughing as I shook my head with a disgusted look on my face.

"Was it really that bad?" Merry asked.

I nodded vigorously before taking my notebook and scribbling on it, "I'd rather be covered in troll drool."

They all burst out laughing at that before Sam spoke up, "Where was your favorite place?"

"When we went over a snow covered mountain and through some tunnels, I got to see frozen over lakes and gorgeous houses. And in only an hour we were in a orange canyon with trees and streams everywhere. The air was warm but not damp, and as high as you looked the gorgeous walls had some form of green life on them, and when you looked straight up, the sky was a beautiful blue with small puffs of white clouds dotting what sky you could see. And everyone there was really nice and would make jokes that would make you laugh. If I could live anywhere I think I'd choose to live there." Now Strider was reading. "If you like that place so much, then I think you'll like Rivendell. Though, you may end up hurting a few people when they call you an elf." I growled at him causing the Hobbits to laugh again, the night went on like that, laughing, eating, sharing stories, really we all just got along. And went to sleep with smiles on our faces, though mine didn't last long as I thought about our missing member. He would like these stories to, I know he would. 'I guess I can only hope your okay...'
