With twinkling blue eyes, Sora observed what he was holding in his gloved hands with a smile.

It was a large milk chocolate egg.

The spiky-haired teenager's mouth watered at the tasty goodness he had in front of him. It was covered in shiny red foil wrapping - which did nothing to prevent Sora from picking up its wonderful smell. He sighed contentedly at the amazing aroma. What he had here was a real treat - and there was no one on Destiny Islands he'd rather share it with than the girl who was on the shore with him.

"It smells good," Sora commented dreamily. "Doesn't it, Kairi?"

"It sure does, Sora!" The redhead giggled as she held her hands together behind her back, smiling softly at the brunette. "It's so kind of you to offer to share it with me."

"Well of course I'd share this with you!" A wide grin filled Sora's face which he directed to the Princess of Heart. "There's no way I'd keep something like this all to myself and not share it with you!"

Kairi's cheeks turned a shade of pink. Her heart filled with warmth over Sora's words. He was making it clear how important and precious she was to him. That was why for as long as she had lived on the islands with him, he had always been her best friend.

Sora removed the wrapping to reveal the egg in its chocolate glory. The smell was stronger than ever now that it had been released from its foil prison. The evening light which filled the beach allowed Sora to take in just how good to eat the treat looked. He inhaled deeply to get a good sniff of the aroma, then gently split the egg into two even halves, holding one out towards the girl towards him.

"Here's you go, Kairi!"

"Thank you, Sora!" Kairi smiled gratefully as she took her share from the boy. "You're so sweet!"

"As sweet as this egg?" Sora joked.

With a shake of her head, the red-haired girl leaned towards the brunette boy - to plant a kiss onto his cheek.

"Even sweeter," she assured him.

Sora ran his fingers over where Kairi's soft lips had pecked his cheek. His eyes were wide with astonishment. He stared at the Princess of Heart as she happily nibbled into her piece of the egg.

With a humble smile, Sora bit into his own share of the treat. His mouth instantly filled with the amazing taste of milk chocolate. This piece of confectionery certainly was nice - but nowhere near as nice as the person he was sharing it with.

Sora was so pleased to be sharing this lovely chocolate egg - with the one person who had a very important place in his heart.

There was no one in all the different worlds the young Keyblade Wielder had journeyed to more important to him than Kairi.

"Hey! What are you two doing over there?!"

Sora froze. A familiar voice had reached his ears, indicating that he and Kairi were no longer alone on the small island. The brunette tensed up as he swallowed, resulting in the bit of chocolate in his mouth disappearing down his throat.

"Oh hey, Riku!" Kairi called cheerfully.

The silver-haired boy walked along the sand towards where his closest friends stood on the shore. His face was scrunched into a suspicious frown upon noticing they were both tasting something in their hands.

"What's that you got there?" Riku asked. "Are you two sharing a Paopu Fruit?!"

"It's a chocolate egg, Riku!" Kairi answered truthfully.

Sora bit the bottom of his lip. He knew exactly what was coming next.

"A chocolate egg?!" Riku's face instantly lit up as his tone filled with excitement upon hearing what his friends had - which drove him to walk more quickly towards them. "Well save me some! I want some of that too! I hope you two weren't planning to eat it yourselves and leave me out!"

"Why sure, Riku!" Kairi held up her piece of the egg which she had only taken a small nibble out of. "We'd be happy to share with you, wouldn't we-Sora?!"

Kairi turned to face Sora upon feeling him suddenly grab hold of her. He was staring at her with alarm as his one hand abruptly took hold of hers while his other one clutched his share of the chocolate egg.

"Run, Kairi!"

Sora suddenly shot off across the beach, dragging Kairi along with him. The Princess of Heart yelped and squealed as she felt herself being pulled along by her hero. The Keyblade Wielder kept her close to him, as well as his piece of the chocolate egg - in his determination to get them all away from Riku.

"Hey, Sora, get back here!" Riku hollered as he chased after them. "Come back here with Kairi - and that chocolate egg, too!"

Sora took no notice, continuing to run and pull the stunned Kairi along. Having the boy he'd grown up with on the islands come between the two of them that evening was where he drew the line. Though perfectly willing to share the chocolate egg with Kairi, Sora was not prepared to share it with Riku as well.

Nor for that matter was he up for sharing the girl he loved with the other boy.
