That night, Sky didn't sleep easy. His mind was focused on what had occurred at the party earlier. It was nice seeing all of his friends, but the demon's appearance ruined it all. The brunette still wasn't certain of his words, especially about his 'parents'.
"Oh, but have you already forgotten?" Herobrine's voice tormented his mind, causing the commander to turn in his bed and grip his head, attempting to block the sound out. Squeezing his eyes shut, he thought the matter over.
It did intrigue him, being the forgotten prince. Lost in history, he supposed.
Sighing inwardly, he found his gaze fixated on the stark ceiling. "I have awoken the dragon that your ancestor slew long ago." If the rest of the devil's story was true, Sky doubted that he would lie at this part. He suspected that if Herobrine was setting up a trap, he would have said something more believable.
And that's exactly why the amulet wearer believed him.
"Must be that 'due time' he was talking about." The commander mused, crossing his arms behind his head as he sat upright. "Hmpft. I guess I may see this 'Serendys' very soon..."
He reached onto the nightstand next to his bed and grabbed his sunglasses. Holding them in front of him, he stared into his reflection.
Was this really him, the commander of the Sky Army; or was it a corrupted version of the supposed prince of Serendys?
No matter who looked back at him, he knew was that he needed to do something. Something...important.
But he just couldn't place his finger on it. The demon was one step ahead of him. One. Single. Step.
And it angered him so.
"D*mn you, Herobrine," He hissed, fists clenched, "Go to H*ll-oh wait, he already did."
His temporary insomnia wore off with his anger and he found himself in a well needed sleep.
Waking up the next morning, the first thing he did was call the hotel room that Ty and Jason were sharing.
"Hello? Is that you, Adam?" Ty's voice projected from the speaker. Noting the grogginess Ty carried, Sky could tell that he had woken the teen up.
"Sorry for waking you up, but I need you to gather the team; we're having another meeting."
The commander heard a yawn from the brunette's side of the call. "Sure, and let me guess, 'go now, questions later'?"
"You know me too well...meet up in an hour at the cafe; the one a block away from my house." Adam chuckled as he slipped his leather gloves on, and soon after, his raspberry shoes. "Mmhmm..." was Ty's drowsy reply, "Sounds good."
"Great, see ya in an hour."
Exactly according to his word, the whole gang was there. Albeit he just saw them last night, the commander felt as though it was still five years.
"Hey, guys," Sky paused, examining their tired faces, "Sorry for calling you all here so early, but I have to tell you something."
"And that would be...?" Mitch inquired, rubbing his eye with the back of his hand. The amulet wearer let out a nervous chuckle. "I've decided that we're setting out for this...'Serendys' that Herobrine was talking about."
"What makes you believe him?" Jason asked, clearly confused by his friend's proposal.
"Don't you think that if he was trying to set a trap, that he would use something more believable? I mean, 'dragon copies'?" The brunette said, exasperated, "He tried to make us believe him so that we wouldn't, but in reality: it was all true! The smart b*stard thought he could trick us, but I guess he couldn't."
Sky didn't realize that while he was rambling on, the team stared at him as if he were crazy. Finally omitting his obliviousness, he noticed their glares. "Oh, um...I still think that he was telling the truth about the kingdom and all, no matter what you say-"
"As crazy as it sounds, he has a good point." Seto piped up, surprising the group, "I think I know the demon enough to be able to distinguish a lie."
At first, the team glanced around to each member individually, trying to find their take on it. Much to Sky's pleasure, they all slowly agreed.
"Then it's settled, we're setting off for the castle tomorrow."
"Do you have any idea where to start looking?" Dawn's tone wasn't all that reassuring to him, but she did have a good point. "If the castle has been destroyed for who knows how long, how would you find it?"
"And that, my dear, is why we have the library."
"Says the one who avoids them..." She mused (which earned an eye roll from her fiancé), a smirk growing on her face, "Besides, there would only be debris if it was sieged, correct?"
"'Tis long gone. It was destroyed in a siege and there were no survivors." She was exactly right, but the brunette still felt compelled.
"Yeah, but it's still worth looking for." Adam said, a desperate tone evident in his voice as the demon's words echoed in his head.
"Whatever Herobrine said must've really gotten to him.." Ty whispered to the astronaut next to him, who just shrugged. "I guess so."
"Please, just...just hear me out this one time. I feel like he was telling the truth; that he wouldn't lie about something as sensitive as that. I honestly, out of my own opinion, think that we should go-and this is an order. I...just want to know what happened to my real parents."
There was silence from the other nine as the brunette regained his composure and sat down. Then, Kermit spoke. "I'll go with you, buddy."
"Yeah, why not? It'll be fun," was Ian's reply.
Soon came Quentin's, followed by Mitch and Jerome. Before the amulet wearer knew it, everybody was excited and ready to begin their adventure. Sky felt a smile tugging at his lips.
"I've been waiting five years for this."

SSJ2Blaze: Well, this is the first chapter that I've written completely by myself, and I bet that you could tell. This...didn't have much action in it, I apologize, but the next one will, I promise! (If it doesn't, please don't hold me against it..) Sorry for the delay of this story, I had really bad writer's block, no inspiration, and was overwhelmed with school. Sorry for the shortness, the next one will (hopefully) be longer, and Secret will be here!
