Main Characters: Alan, John, Scott, TinTin

Summary:

Author's Note:

This is my first Thunderbird FanFiction, so diehard Thunderbird fans, go easy. I also have only watched the 2004 Movie and have watched the magnificent works of Criminally Charmed and Little Miss Bump, also TBMom. So, if character's actions are wrong, I apologize in advance.

The writing style may change. So any first person will be in my OC's 1st Person, while other tidbits will be in 3rd person. There will be a break and then in Italics 3rd Person, but it will be centered around a character. So it will say, 3rd Person Name, only my OC will be in 1st Person.

Disclaimer: I do not own the Thunderbirds, I only own my OC, Kathryn Dwyer Tracy. - There are also specific lines from the movie, so I don't own those either.

- Chapter 5 -

- Recap from last Chapter -

"It's not you I'm aiming at," my brother shot another rock and it landed on the hatch button. Suddenly the floor was brought up from under us and we were sent down the tubes. We thought we were home free, until the roaring of Thunderbird One's engines came through the tunnel. We looked back and saw massive flames reaching out towards us.

Luckily the water came a lot quicker then expected.

Now what was going to happen?

- New Chapter Begins -

(1st person)

As we tumbled into the water, just missing the combustion on our backs. My brother and Tintin helped Fermat as he gurgled, "A little... warning... would... have .. been nice... I ... could.. 've... drown!"

"You mean you can't swim!" Alan retorted.

"I repeat, I .. could've ... drown!" Fermat continued to spew out water. While the rest of us helped hime out.

The boys went in one direction to dry off, while Tintin and I went in another. Clear from the boys, we picked our clothes off and squeezed them dry. As the dried on a nearby rock, I went to look at my bag. First at the processor, luckily it was safe in my bag. Surprising, most of the inside of my bag was dry. I grabbed the metal box that was also my bow and tested it out. It was a new invention I came up with. The bow would stay in a easily compact form until I needed it. I pressed the quick action on the box and as I expected, it came out just as it should. No water leaked from it to. Got to love the newer technology. I pressed the compress form and it reverted to the box. I then check my box of arrows, five hundred to be exact. Similar style to the bow, only this had a screen that allowed me to choose how many bows I would need. I have four quick settings and a setting that allows me to choose the number of bows. Another invention of mine. The bows were also made of complete metal, a new metal that is lightweight, but can penetrate almost anything. It was hard to come by, but the girls at my academy have some interesting fathers.

I couldn't used my custom equipment in competition because of regulations, but it was fun to test them out.

Tintin and I didn't say anything while I was checking my gear, until she commented, "On your back, where did you get those bruises?"

I turned slightly and that's when I felt the throb of the black and blue enemies. I also noticed the ones on I sighed, "It was probably from both shafts. You know how weaker my bones and skin are. Anything I do causes a bruise." I sighed again and grabbed my clothes. They weren't completely dry, but better than sopping wet. I put them back on and placed my bag over my back. It throbbed slightly, but it'll go away soon.

Tintin and I returned to where the boys were. We could hear their conversation. Alan spoke, "I said I was sorry, Fermat. Let just put this behind us, okay? Got to watch each other's backs. Nice drawers."

That was when Tintin jumped out from behind the rocks and screamed, "Boo!" I followed after.

There was my twin and his best friend in their drawers with nothing else on. I laughed slightly as Alan tried to put his soaked shirt in front of him to hide his chest. Embarrassed Alan told us, "No! Stay back Tintin, Kathryn."

Tintin laughed, "You're worse then a couple girls. Hurry up and get dressed."

She helped Fermat, while I helped my brother. I remember from the boys previous conversation. I told the boy genius, "Those are nice drawers Fermat."

They boys finished changing and we headed back into the forest. Fermat was telling us about how Thunderbird Five received information from the island by the satellite. Alan thought Fermat was thinking we should blow it up, but Fermat interjected, like the genius he is.

"No, we can use the satellite to relay the programs to give Thunderbird Five control again."

I had to admit, it was a pretty good idea. Alan crouched down toward the sand and tried to make a "quick" map to the satellite tower. Tintin butted in and drew a line that went straight threw the forest. As we stood, Fermat stuttered, "B.b. that's f.f.f. off limits."

Tintin proudly spoke, "It's going to be dangerous."

Alan and I looked at her and said at the same time, "I'm in." We looked at each other and then put our hands in the center of where we were standing.

Tintin put her hand in and Fermat joined after. We lifted them up and ran into the jungle.

I spoke as we ran, "We got to get there fast. All of our folks are in trouble if The Hood gets off the island."

Fermat shook his head, "Actually, he's not going anywhere." He motioned to me and I grabbed the processor out of my bag. "I asked Kathryn to grab the guidance processor from Thunderbird Two. You can't take off without it."

"Fermat, you're a genius!" Alan exclaimed.

We continued into the forest. Tintin and I were ahead of the boys. They were lagging behind. It was strange, even after doing all of this hiking and extreme activities, I haven't had one attack. It was new for me and I was happy about it too.

Fermat and Alan were talking about something that I couldn't make out, I did, however hear the word "blossoming." I looked back at them, they were farther behind then I first thought. I laughed as they screamed at us to slow down. They even asked for a break, but Tintin screamed, "No!" to them, but when she saw where they were, she took a break at the top of the cliff we had climbed. It was then, when I noticed how heavily I was breathing. I sat down.

"Are you okay Kathryn? I wasn't even thinking when you were behind me," my best friend asked in a concerned tone.

Breathlessly, I answered, "I'm fine. I'm just surprised how long I've lasted. Usually Virgil or Scott scold me when I do too many laps in the pool or when I decide to hike along the beach." I laughed slightly, I could also feel a slight throb from my back again, but ignored it. It was occurring more often, but it wasn't bad. As I was thinking of this, Fermat popped his head up from below. Alan was helping the not-so-athletic, genius boy up the cliff.

When Alan finally got up the cliff himself, I froze. On my brother's shoulder was a scorpion, but not any scorpion, a hectroktin scorpion. 0.025 milligrams of its venom is fatal. "Don't move Alan."

Tintin came over to see the problem and gasped. Then just as the scorpion was about to attack my brother, Tintin grabbed her necklace and her eyes changed. Similar to a tiger. The scorpion was lifted and thrown away from my twin's shoulder.

Tintin had to have the same power as her uncle, The Hood. Alan tried to ask what was that about and she told him to drop it. For once, he did. Tintin said we should continue and Fermat groaned. I laughed and turned to join Tintin. The throbbing from my back spiked pain once again. They're just bruises, so why are they hurting so much. I shook it off again, but I had a feeling it wouldn't be the last time.

We entered the rock formation where the Tracy Island satellite station was located. Fermat tried to work on the satellite, but as he complained it was very delicate equipment, it sparked in front of him. He gasped, "Which is now b...broken."

Alan asked, "Can you fix it?"

"Maybe, but I'll need something to meld it with."

I looked at him like he had two heads. Where in the world was he going to find materials to do that in the middle of nowhere? I sure won't let him near my metal bows.

Tintin looked at Alan and then to Fermat. I noticed it as well. Alan has a metal retainer.

"What?" Alan questioned.

Minutes later Alan was grabbed by myself and Tintin. He screamed in the process of us taking out his retainer. Fermat grabbed the metal piece and Tintin's crystal and used the light of the sun to create heat. It melted the metal and he was able to use it to fix the satellite tower.

"I got it, yes! You're the ma…an Fermat. Okay, first we have to establish contact with Thunderbird Five," Fermat spoke as he held the devise to the air. I had to admit, I was amazed. This kid is a year younger then Alan and myself, and yet a lot smarter.

As the little screen contacted with Thunderbird Five, Alan screamed into the yellow device, "Dad! Dad!"

A response came, I recognized it as John, "It's Alan!"

Our father responded as well, "Alan, where are you? Are you safe? Is Kathryn with you?"

"We're at the Satellite Station with Fermat and Tintin. Fermat is hacking the main computer system to give control back to Thunderbird Five to you."

I joined with my brother on the screen as Fermat was finishing details, "Dad! Is everyone alright?"

"We're better now that we see you to are safe," my father responded.

I smiled and then the screen started to get fuzzy. Fermat screamed, "They're on to us, we're being jammed!"

Alan yelled back, "Can you finish?"

"I'll try…"

My father spoke, "Alan, Kathryn, what's happening?"

I responded, "We're being jammed. Hang in there Dad, one more minute."

Alan looked back at the genius who said, "It's not going to work Alan, the signals too weak for transmission."

I couldn't believe it, after we risked our lives to get here. The Hood and his minions still can attack us.

Alan yelled back to our father, "We're going to loose you! Don't worry I'll take care of everything, ok?"

"That's a negative Alan," our father retorted, "It's too dangerous. Follow emergency procedure. Wait for Lady Penelope at the meeting point." His voice was going in and out now, "Alan, Kathryn, can… you.. here.. me!"

"Dad!" I screamed.

"Alan, Kathryn… we're.. loosing.. you! We're.." our father's transmission ended.

Alan screamed and threw the yellow device into the woods. My legs crumbled. How can we save our families now. Tintin came down to where I was on the ground, "Kat, are you ok?"

"How can I be ok? One our hopes of saving my father and brother's is gone, now how can we establish another contact with them!" I screamed at my best friend.

Alan, instead of going on a rant himself, sat down next to me and said, "It's going to be ok Kat. We'll find a way."

I looked into his blue eyes, "How can you say that!? Aren't you worried at all?"

"I am, I just know that there's something we can do to," my brother told me.

Tintin joined, "We are all worried for our parents and so we just have to believe we'll see them safe and sound once again."

Alan spoke again, "The Hood knows where we are now, so we have to go." He stood up and then reaching out a hand to me, helped me stand. The movement made a slight pain in my back again, but before anyone could notice, I shook it off. What was happening to me?

As I ponder on that thought, Fermat spoke as he stood up, "The worse part is the Hood knows..," he stopped as we heard the noise from a vehicle coming from the woods. He, along with everyone else started to run, "where we are!"

We made our way down the rocky hill and into the jungle. Not seeing where we were running, ran right off a small ledge. Tripping as we rolled down the jungle ground. Hitting every stick, rock, and grass on the ground. Many of which, rubbed against my already sore back, even though I was wearing a backpack. In a way, I think the backpack made it worse.

As we reached the end of the hill, our fall was stopped by a stream running through the jungle. When we all surfaced, Fermat complained, "Oh, great, more water."

I moved toward the boy and helped Fermat while Alan asked Tintin, "Can you slow them down?"

"I'd be delighted," the Malaysian girl answered.

"Great, meet us at the junkyard. Fermat, Kathryn, come with me," Alan ordered as he swam toward the direction of the junkyard while Tintin swam in the opposite direction. I helped Fermat get towards the edge of the water and we followed Alan. We reached the junkyard and Alan started throwing around things. He soon uncovered on of our old hover-sled. He grinned, "This will get us out of here."

Alan and Fermat grabbed the hover-bike trailer hitch that made it so, three more people could travel with the driver. They connected it to the hover-sled. Fermat spoked, "You know Alan, it's going to make it a lot harder to control."

"I know and it'll be fine," so Alan says.

"Ok, just don't exceed four bars of boost thrust or it'll…"

Alan cut him off, "I said I know, it'll be no problem."

Tintin appeared from the jungle, "Guys we have to get moving," she looked at the machine, "What is this?"

I answered, "It's a hover-sled."

"It's our ticket out of here, unless you got a better idea," Alan said to Tintin.

Tintin looked at him, "Yeah, how about we wait for Lady Penelope, like your father said."

Alan rolled his eyes, "Great plan. Let's wait here and let the bad guys catch us. I say we have to do something now, right Fermat, Kat?

Fermat answered before I could, "Actually I agree with Tintin, Alan. I don't think this is ss…safe."

"Oh really, well you don't think anything is ss..safe," Alan retorted, mimicking Fermat's stutter.

I couldn't believe him, Fermat is his best friend how could he just treat him like that. I spoke, "Alan, that was uncalled for. We wouldn't have been able to even have contact with dad and the others."

Fermat looked at his friend, "Just because I stutters doesn't mean I'm wrong. If we are a team, we should make decisions as a team."

Alan, not really listening to what Fermat or I were saying, spoke, "Do you guys want to sit here and take a vote or do you want to get out of here? Cause I'm going." My brother settled himself on top of the hover-sled.

Even though we didn't really agree with him, Fermat, Tintin and myself joined him on the back. Tintin told him, "You know Alan, you can be a real jerk sometimes."

As we got ourselves seated, Alan started the machine. We started our way through the jungle and only shortly after, we could hear the sound of the car that had found us before. I looked back and screamed, "Oh no!"

Alan didn't even see what the problem was and started to speed up. Fermat noticing this screamed, "Alan, you're going to fast!" The sled attachment was starting to shake more and more as my brother picked up speed.

He yelled back, "I need enough speed to get above the trees! Hang on!"

He pushed his foot further and the attachment rattled even more and as he got to the tree that had fallen to make a good ramp, the attachment broke off. Fermat, Tintin and myself started to fall backwards, back toward The Hood's goons. We fell backward onto our backs. I looked up and noticed the good looking right at me. Oh great.

They grabbed us and in the distance I could see my brother staring at me from above the trees. I stared at him as if saying, "Yeah, you messed up."

I am so sorry for the really late update. There was some sad complications and I haven't been able to write. So I hope you like this and since I am on break, I am writing more!
