Zehro: Where the heck is Vicky?!
Audience: (shrugs)
Zehro: Ugh! This is what I get for putting her in charge of the next chapter... (walks out of theater) What the...
Crowd: WOOT! Get 'em! Get 'em good! OOH!
Zehro: What the heck is going on here? (squeezes through)
Groose: Give up already!
Vaati: Take back what you said about my hat!
Groose: NEVER!
Vaati: Then you shall face the power of the Wind Mage!
Zehro: Huh. So I guess Vicky wasn't lying about the fight... wait a second!
Vicky: (throws popcorn at fighters) BOO! Fight better! Fight harder! My grandma can break a hip better than you!
Zehro: Ahem!
(Everyone stops)
Zehro: ... (looks at fighters) Did I say stop?
Groose: SUCKERPUNCH! (sucker punch)
Vaati: You cheat! (Punch)
Vicky: Hey! Zehro! You're just in time! Pop a squat next to me and watch the fight.
Zehro: Where's the next chapter?
Vicky: Don't get your lederhosen in a twist. I got it right here. (holds up stack of papers)
Zehro: ...lederhosen?
Vicky: It's something new I'm trying in the insult department.
Zehro: No, no, I understand. But... why lederhosen?
Vicky: Because it's a funny word. Anyways, here.
Zehro: (takes) Thanks. Hey, shouldn't you be inside, helping me with this?
Vicky: Yeah yeah, after this fight.
Zehro: Vicky...
Vicky: Ugh... fine. (Gets up) Let's get this over with.
{Chapter 6: True Powers}
The three Zeldas approached a door after taking a long walk down a hallway. Sage sighed in relief. "Finally. Now, we can get some answers." She reached for the doorknob, only to have Light stop her. "Wait! What if there's a trap behind that door?" Sage shot her a look. "Well, I guess we're about to find out," she snapped, as she reached for the doorknob again. Then stopped again. Light was glaring at her with disapproving eyes.
"You're so careless, Sage. What if we open that door and something comes out and grabs us?!" Sage rolled her eyes. "You're overreacting. Nothing's gonna come out and grab us." Light put her hands on her hips. "Overreacting?! Why, you no good-"
Just then, they heard a door open behind them. Light and Sage glanced over towards the door and saw Hylia opening it up. Nothing but an empty room with a door on the other side. "It's safe, you guys!" Hylia called out. Sage smirked at Light. "See? You were over-"
An arm shot out from the empty room, grabbed Hylia and retreated. This time, Light shot a look at Sage. "Over-what now?" Sage crossed her arms. "Oh, shut up. Come on!" Sage and Light entered the room, only to have the door slam behind them and lock. The room itself was about eighty feet high, round and housed a giant monster that looked similar to 'The Imprisoned.' Hylia was stuck in it's hand. "Ugh!" Hylia shouted. "I am SO done with being the damsel-in-distress!"
Sage took out her bow and light arrows. "Join the club, kid." Light conjured up a fireball with Din's Fire. "We've been doing this for years. It NEVER changes." Sage fired her arrow toward the monster's left arm, while Light targeted the arrow itself. The arrow hit the monster, causing it to drop Hylia, but not enough to take it down completely. Sage ran over to Hylia. "Are you alright?" Hylia nodded, then stood back up.
A loud voice boomed in the room. "Monster! Show no mercy towards these princesses! Kill them, if necessary!" Just as quickly as the voice appeared, it disappeared.
The three princesses huddled up. Sage was the first to speak. "Alright, so how do we defeat this... thing?" Hylia's eyes lit up. "I have an idea. You two distract the monster and weaken it down. Then, using what powers I may have, I'll try and seal it!" Light rubbed her chin. "It's just crazy enough to work... but how can you be sure that we can imprison this thing?" "I can sense a powerful dark force emanating from him," Hylia explained. "If you two can weaken him down and protect me long enough, I may be able to seal him." Sage bit her lip. "I dunno. It's kind of risky. What if it doesn't work?" Hylia smiled. "It will work. I just know it will. Trust me." Sage sighed. "Light?" Light had stayed silent for a long time, thinking the entire plan over. Finally, she nodded. "If you're absolutely sure about this, Hylia, then we'll stand with you in this fight." Hylia smiled. "I'm positive." Light gave a small smile. "Then, let's do it."
The Zeldas broke up and faced the monster. Hylia put her fingertips to her forehead, closed her eyes, then reopened them. Her eyes were now as white as the clouds in the sky. Not a pupil or iris in sight. Just completely blank. "Go! Now!" she ordered. Sage and Light nodded their heads then charged towards the monster.
The monster let out an ear-piercing screech, making the two fighters cover their ears. The monster reared it's massive arm back and swiped the two of them into the wall. It lifted it's hand up shortly after and brought it down towards Hylia. Light shot a fireball towards the monsters arm while Sage shot a light arrow towards the beast's head.
Both of the attacks seemed to do the trick. The fireball to the arm caused the monster to reel his arm back and the light arrow threw him off a bit. Hylia still remained unharmed.
The monster went ballistic and started going on a rampage around the room. He went to attack both of the Zeldas, but Light had gone a step ahead. She withdrew her sword and boosted herself into the air with the help of Farore's wind. She landed on the beast's head. Unsure of where to strike, she plunged her sword into a random spot, causing the monster to flail around until she fell off.
With acidic blood dripping off of it's head, the monster grabbed both of the Zeldas and opened it's large mouth. Sage pulled out her bow and readied another light arrow. "Use another one of your fireballs!" she called out towards Light. "I... I can't! I'm out of magic!" Sage let out an irritated sigh. "You really should have come prepa-" Before she could finish, her grip on the bow slipped and fell into the monster's mouth. It let out a burp shortly after.
Light shot a smirk towards Sage. "I should always what now?" "Shut up!" Sage shouted. "Does it really look like this is the time for that?!"
The monster let out a massive roar causing both of their hair to stand up on end. Sage gulped. "I guess this is it..." Light nodded in agreement. "I guess it is..." They both braced themselves as the monster opened his mouth again and brought them closer and closer.
Light opened her eyes. "Hey, wait... Sage, you were about to launch that light arrow, right?"
Sage opened her eyes up too. "Yeah, why?"
"Don't light arrows require magic to use?"
Sage nodded again. "Yeah. Where are you going with this?"
Light gave her a blank stare. "Are you an idiot?! Use Farore's Wind to get us both out of the monster's grip!"
"I can't. Unless I can grab onto you, I'm not able to teleport you anywhere!"
Light sighed and hung her head low. Then her eyes brightened up. "I have another idea. Sage, use Farore's Wind to teleport onto the beast's head. Attack it in the head with the blade that's already there then toss it to me."
"Are you sure that will work?"
"Just do it!"
Sage seemed a bit reluctant at first, but at this point, they were out of options. She concentrated hard and teleported above the monster. She landed right where the sword was in it's head. Grabbing the hilt, she used all of the strength she had to rip the blade out of the beast's head and plunged it back in again. The beast let out another roar and flung Light up into the air towards the ceiling.
"Now!" Light shouted. Sage ripped the sword out one last time and hurled it towards Light. Light grabbed the blade by it's hilt and aimed it towards the monster. The beast let out another roar and Sage was forced to fall. With it's mouth wide open, the beast let out another roar towards Light. Light smirked. "Bring it on, you-"
She wasn't even able to finish her sentence as the beast devoured her in one gulp. Sage looked back up in horror. "Oh dear goddesses..."
"What happened?" Hylia asked, still in her 'no pupil' stage.
"The beast..." Sage said in a shaky voice. "It... it ate Light!"
Hylia's eyes returned to normal. "What?!" she shouted as she grabbed Sage by the shoulders. "What do you mean it ate her?! She can't die! She's another Zelda like the rest of us!"
Sage stared back at her blankly. "H-Hylia... you're... back to normal..."
Hylia's eyes widened in realization. "...oops."
The beast let out another roar. Sage put her fists up. "So much for the plan."
"What about Light?"
"She would have wanted us to beat this monster."
Hylia looked towards the ground then eventually nodded. "I... I got it. Come on, let's defeat this... thing." Both of them brandished their fists toward the beast, to which it roared right in their faces. Hylia and Sage let out the loudest of battle cries as they charged towards the beast.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH," screamed Hylia.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH," shouted Sage.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH," came another voice. Sage and Hylia stopped in their tracks as Light bursted out of the beast's throat, screaming a battle cry even louder than theirs. She landed on the ground in front of them, on her hand and knees.
Hylia smiled and hugged Light as hard as she could. "Light! You're alive!" Light took one look at Hylia and sighed. "Hylia, you're-"
"-back to her normal self again. Yeah, we established this already," Sage told her.
Light slowly stood back up and tossed something over to Sage. A bow and arrow. "There's your stuff back. I managed to get them while I was in there."
Sage held the bow by the tip. "Oh... thanks... totally not weirded out by the fact that it has gut juice on it..."
Before Light could speak up, the monster roared at all of them. Sage looked up at the beast. "Oh... somehow, I completely forgot about that." Light fell on one knee. "Hylia... you still have your power stored up, right?" Hylia nodded. "Yes. Though if I try and seal it right now, it'll probably fight against it." Light nodded. "I see." She turned to Sage. "Do you still have some magic left?" Sage nodded. "Enough for one last shot with the Light Arrow, but yes..." Light smiled. "Good."
Light stood up, grabbed Sage and swung her with all of her strength towards the beast. "Shoot it! Shoot it at the open wound!" Though Sage was angry at Light for what she did, she still did what she wanted. On the top of the monster's head was an open wound with a bit of light shining out of it. Sage loaded one last arrow into the bow and aimed it towards the open wound. She closed one eye.
"Smile, you son of a-"
She let the arrow fly to it's target. The monster let out a shriek as the light arrow pierced it's weak point at. Light turned to Hylia.
"NOW!"
Hylia nodded and used all of her power to create a inter-dimensional portal. Sage bounced off of the monster and stayed behind Hylia, where it was safe. The monster was slowly sucked into the portal, fighting back with what strength it had left. His legs disappeared into the portal first. Then it's torso. Then the rest of it's head. Finally, his massive arms were the last to go. Before the portal closed, one last ear-piercing shriek was let out from the monster.
Finally, it fell silent in the room. Hylia fell to the ground, exhausted from using all of that magic at one time. Sage was breathing heavily and Light was gasping for air after having to work her way out of the monster's intestines. Light turned to them. "Great job... all of you..." Hylia couldn't respond because she was out cold. Sage gave her a slight smile.
"So, you've managed to destroy my monster..." came a voice from the voice from earlier. Light and Sage turned towards the sky. "I must admit, I underestimated you princesses..."
"Who are you?!" Light shouted. "Why are you doing this to us?!"
"All will be revealed in time," the voice said, in an calm and unsettling manner. "But for now..." A pathway opened up in front of them. "You must keep going."
And just like that, the voice disappeared. Light and Sage stood up and picked up Hylia. They carried her into the next hallway for whatever trial they have next.
Vicky: And the long awaited Chapter 6 is finally over.
Zehro: So, how long do you think we need to make them wait for Chapter 7?
Vicky: That's on you. Now, I don't know about you, but I'm gonna go back to the fight.
Pipit: Guys! Guys! The battle is over!
Vicky: What?! (grabs Pipit by the shoulders) TELL ME WHO WON!
Pipit: I-It was a tie! They had to split it up after Groose went for a groin shot and Vaati burped up fire in Groose's face!
Vicky: ... (twitch) You're telling me... I missed the possibly greatest moment in Zelda Fighting History... for a STORY?!
Pipit: ... (nods solemnly)
Vicky: (Pulls out hammer) You are DEAD meat this time, Zehro!
Zehro: (Pulls out sword) EN GARDE!
(The two of them get into a fight where bones are broken and tears are shed. Mainly Zehro's.)
Sky: Should we... stop them?
Hylia: I think we should...
Light, Sage, Time, Twilight: Naaaaaaah... (sit back and eat unbuttered popcorn)
Sky: I guess that's that. Thank you for reading. Please favorite, follow, review or all three if you want.
Hylia: Here's a word of advice: Always be prepared for someone to shove you out of the- wait, what?
Vicky: (shoves Hylia out of the way) Don't be a salad! Be the best damn broccoli you can be!
Zehro: I'm not done with you, yet!
Vicky: Bring it on, farthole!
(fight resumes)
Sky: Okay, someone turn off the camera, now...
