AN~ Well this took longer than expected. Some of these were hard to come up with plots for. "Pretending" was crazy easy, though.

Cynthia Darling: I love Queen's music. It's so epic. Even when they're singing about really mundane things. Like bikes.

Mountain Sound: I'm glad you liked that one. :) The original was about Daphne, but Basil fits better. Killer Queen isn't my favorite Queen song, but I like it. I can do Mountain Sound next chapter.

I'd Lie, Taylor Swift

Of course Sabrina doesn't tell anyone she likes Puck. Daphne's guessed, and Red sees everything, but she doesn't tell anyone else. After all, she's got her pride to think of, and this is Puck, for gosh sakes! He's- he's like her opposite in everything. It would be like she liked her mortal enemy.

It would be as weird as Daphne liking Pinocchio. They get along about as poorly as Sabrina and Puck do, after all.

But so far she hasn't actually lied about it. It's not like she wants to mislead people. She just wants to keep it to herself.

But when he visits her at school and her best friend asks if he's her boyfriend, she says no. Her friend asks if she likes him, because he's cute.

And then Sabrina does what she hasn't done since she admitted to herself that she liked this boy:

She lies about it.

She tells her best friend "No, of course I don't like him! He's like my cousin! My annoying cousin."

Her friend shrugs. "He's still cute."

Sabrina is willing to admit this.

And she's happy to tell her friend everything she knows about this boy.

Superstar, Taylor Swift

Daphne's dating a musician now. He's a really sweet guy-

Actually, he's Wendell. There's no point in sugarcoating it. He is sweet, and a goofball, and actually pretty attractive now that he's finished going through puberty, but he's still Wendell. There's nothing romantic about that, at least at first sight.

But he can be wonderful, when they're alone.

He's an amazing musician, now that he's learned how to turn off the magic part of his music. He can play any instrument, and he can even sing. He's in a band, and it's pretty popular. They've got a record deal, and they're going on tour once it comes out. Most of the girls in the area are already in love with him, a little bit, and they're so excited for him.

He's Daphne's, though. She doesn't know if this one will last, but it's the first relationship she's had that she's wanted to keep going- except for Pinocchio. That one she wanted to last, too.

He tells her the sweetest thing when they're together. She loves it so much. She just wishes more of those girls knew he was with her. She feels a little invisible when they're together, because all those girls just ignore her and scream his name, trying to get his attention. He tells most of them that he's taken, but they don't seem to care.

Oh well. All relationships have their problems.

Teardrops on my Guitar, Taylor Swift

Daphne is pining after a boy. She doesn't usually do this- she's decided to be of the mindset that if he doesn't like her, there are other boys out there.

Besides, it's not like she hasn't broken enough boy's hearts. Not that she means to, but they like her, and she... well, she likes them, but she doesn't see them spending the rest of their lives together. Or they have something she can't fall in love with. And she's not going to keep a relationship going if she doesn't see a future in it. Because dating isn't just for fun. She'll go on a date because she's a nice girl, but she won't keep it going if she knows it's going to end eventually anyway.

And there are plenty of other boys she could date right now. But she just can't get this one out of her head.

Maybe it's because Drew is just... not interested. Most boys she meets are at least a little bit interested. She's really pretty, after all. She looks enough like her mom that boys watch her. But Drew doesn't.

And she can't stand it. She wants him. And no matter how much she shoves him out of her head and tries to look at other boys, he's still there.

They're great friends, but he's got a girlfriend, and he's definitely not interested in her.

This is hopeless.

She sighs and shoves his photo away. She can't get over him, but she doesn't have to pine.

I Heart?, Taylor Swift

Sabrina is sick and tired of Puck's antics. Why can't he just leave her alone? She's told him she's done with him- just because Bradley thinks they're over, and he's left, doesn't mean Sabrina wants Puck right now.

She's still getting over Bradley, actually. He gave her some schpeel about how he didn't want to make her choose, so he was leaving her, but what if she'd wanted him? She did want him, actually. And she was entirely too angry at Puck to get back together with him.

But he just doesn't get it. And he keeps coming back. She can't stand it.

"Seriously, Puck," she says. "Go away."

"But I love you," he points out.

"But we're over," she returns. "You left. There is no us anymore. You ruined it. Not me. So go away and let me get on with my life."

"Come on, Sabrina," he starts to wheedle.

"No!" Sabrina snaps. "You need to understand that my life doesn't revolve around you! And when you left, I got over you! You can't come back and expect nothing to have changed!"

She storms off, leaving a speechless Puck behind.

You Belong With Me, Taylor Swift

Puck has a girlfriend, and Sabrina's not sure what to do about it. She wants to tell him to break up with her, but she can't, because that would take her out of the perfect spot they're in where he's her best friend and she's just the girl he grew up for and they don't talk about why he grew up or why she's never dated anyone else. So they're just friends and his girlfriend doesn't have to worry about her.

Seriously.

But then the relationship lasts- and his relationships never last. And it lasts even though this girl is a diva who never gives him a break, who stresses him out constantly, who he would have never looked at twice three years ago, and he's never happy anymore- never even pulls a prank on Sabrina. Most of the time they spend together anymore is him venting. She always listens, and never tells him how much easier it would be if he were dating someone else- or not dating anyone. She would like that, actually.

And he keeps dating this girl and she keeps driving him up the wall, being a jerk and dating his cheerleader girlfiend, and she keeps sitting in the background, waiting for him to come home from their dates, remembering what it used to be like when it was just Sabrina and Puck, not Puck and his girlfriend and then Sabrina.

And then she decides she needs to do something about it. She can't stand it anymore.

Just Breathe, The Writing Camp

Sabrina isn't ready for law school. She's going- she's been accepted, to her top choice, even- but she's terrified, suddenly.

This is unfortunate, because she's got to leave in three days, and she's already packed to move in.

She doesn't understand what's wrong, exactly. She wasn't this scared for college. She was excited to get out of her crazy crowded apartment with its constant flow of unexpected overnight guests when she left for college. And now she's absolutely terrified.

She sort of wonders if it's because there's no anger at Puck this time. She was so mad at him for that fight that she was eager to prove she didn't need him and leave. Show she was a big girl and all.

And now she hasn't seen him in two years. She just wants to see him again.

But whatever.

She doesn't need him.

So she's going to law school. Just to prove she can.

That's the Way it Is, Celine Dion

Most of the time, Daphne is perfectly happy with her life. She's got a great family, great friends, a wonderful job, and the knowledge that magic is real. She loves all these things.

She also loves about fifty different men, though. And all of them have shown interest in her at least once. She's gone on dates with all of them. Most of them have even gone well.

But there's always something... off. Something that lets her know they can't spend their lives together. And that's what she hates. Because she really does love them all. And she wants them to work out.

Sometimes she gets so sick of it. She looks at Sabrina and Puck, who are so in love that they stay together even though they argue all the time (Daphne is sure she couldn't be happy that way, and she broke up with Pinocchio because the two of them argued as much as her sister, and she couldn't take it), she's jealous. They've been in love since middle school. It's not fair. She wants a love that permanent.

"I know what you're thinking about," Veronica tells her.

"How?" Daphne asks.

Veronica laughs. "I wore that look a while too, before your dad moved to New York. You'll find yourself someone to spend your life with eventually, too."

"Promise?" Daphne asks.

Veronica nods and gives her daughter a hug.

All the Small Things, Blink 182

Wendell didn't like Daphne when they were younger. She was annoying, a brat with too many big ideas and not enough compassion for people who disagreed with her ideas- a lot like her sister, only she was friendlier. She wanted to be friends, and when he didn't want to, she got very upset.

Now, though, she's grown up. And she still has big ideas, but she understands other people more. She's always there to support him after a show, and they're great friends. He wants to be more than that. They're even sharing an apartment, actually. Daphne needed a roommate to help with the rent, and he offered. He was hoping it would move things forward. But she's just not... Well, she leaves him flowers and things, but she's got a boyfriend, and they seem serious this time.

She's had others. He thought this one was more like that. But she's been with him for months, and he doesn't seem to be going anywhere.

Oh well. He guesses he should be happy just to be her friend.

Perfect Two, Auburn

Relda has never felt this way about anyone before, not the way she feels about this strange American who's come and swept her off her feet- metaphorically, of course. He's not actually strong enough to actually sweep her off her feet. He's barely suave enough to even do it metaphorically.

But that's why she loves him. She's never been a particularly romantic person, and he's not, either. They've fallen for each other fast and hard, but he's not perfect, and she doesn't care, because he admits it. He's brave, he's very open (even with the secret she hasn't figured out yet), and he's smart. She loves him. She knows she wants to marry him, even if they've only known each other for a few months.

He loves her, too, as surprising and amazing as it seems. How lucky are they to be together? How often do people find their soulmates across continents, before they've even turned twenty?

Because he's not just her lover, he's her perfect match- he's fast becoming her best friend, too- and they just fit together. Like they're meant for each other. She doesn't know how it's happened, but it's amazing. She wants to spend the rest of her life just like this.

Pretending, The Glee Cast

Sabrina and Puck are dancing and Snow and Charming's wedding- it's the first time they've seen each other in a few months, but it's like nothing's changed (except, of course, that they're dancing together. This isn't their idea. It's Daphne's. Daphne seems to think weddings are the time when people fall in love, not a time for other people to celebrate a couple.): he still smells, and she's still annoyed by him almost constantly.

Except that she's not. She kind of... is enjoying this. Even though he does smell. Because he's kind of cute, to be honest. And he's funny, when she lets herself laugh at him (which means when he makes jokes about people other than her). And he's a pretty good dancer.

And she kind of wants to keep dancing like this forever.

But then the song ends, and she has to back up and say, "Well, that was..." and then she stops because she doesn't really know what to say.

And he says, "Yeah. I hate dancing."

She nods. But it hurts her feelings.

She wonders if he still likes her the way he maybe used to. She wonders if she could kiss him awake now. She wants to find out. She wants to know if he'd have been able to wake her up if she was the one who bit the apple.

But she can't say it. Just in case he doesn't. She couldn't stand it if he laughed in her face. And she couldn't stand Daphne's smug glee.

So she'll keep pretending she doesn't even enjoy spending time with him. Because he's never given her a sign that he likes her- or at least not recently. And she's not going to lose face.

I Won't Say I'm in Love, Hercules

"Come on, you know you love him," Daphne teases, lying back on Sabrina's bed.

Sabrina rolls her eyes. "Nope. I don't love anyone."

Daphne rolls over. "Is this about Puck?" she asks, suddenly serious.

"What about him?" Sabrina asks, trying to keep her voice flat. Puck's been gone for nearly two years. She should be over him.

"Come on," Daphne says. "You're still torn up that he disappeared, and you're afraid to put yourself out there for Bradley because you don't want to get hurt again."

"Well... maybe," Sabrina mutters. "But I'm definitely not in love. I barely know him."

Daphne laughs. "Yeah, sure."

Tale as Old as Time, Beauty and the Beast

"He's a beast!" Sabrina snaps at her sister, describing Puck, of course.

Daphne rolls her eyes. She knows her sister thinks Puck is annoying, but 'beast' is going a bit far- he's not that bad. He's just kind of a jerk some... well, a lot of the time.

A few months after this outburst, though, something changes. It's a small shift. Puck throws a water balloon at Sabrina, and instead of flipping out at him and threatening his life, the way she normally would, she laughs. Daphne's glad. It's too hot for them to be fighting, and to be honest, she wouldn't mind getting hit by a water balloon herself. It would be refreshing.

And then Sabrina throws one back at Puck, and then Daphne does get hit with a water balloon, courtesy of Basil, who's already joined the fight.

A few months after that, the two are almost flirting. It's not much, but it's a step in the right direction.

Daphne's glad they got over it- they'll be so cute together.

Savages, Pocahontas

The second Everafter War is different from the first: that one was secret, contained inside of the barrier, with Everafters against each other. The second one is out in the open: the Everafters declare war on the humans. The worst ones are all out, and they're angry.

After the war is over, after the humans have pushed the Scarlet Hand back into nothingness, things are not the same at all. The whole world knows about Everafters and magic, and all the humans have to learn to deal with it.

They don't do it very well. Humans are known to be bigoted, and hatred grows for the Everafters in spades.

The Everafters, for their part, aren't too fond of the humans, either. A lot of them are friendly enough, but being kicked out of stores for being an elf enough times will upset anybody.

So the third Everafter War is about to happen, but Ally is the one to stop it- she's an Everafter, the daughter of the king of Faerie. But she's in love with a human, a boy named Parker. They've broken up time after time, but always gotten back together. And he loves her even though she's a Fairy.

So Ally decides to do anything to save her boyfriend from Titania.

I'll Make a Man Out of You, Mulan

Sabrina is going undercover. Unfortunately, she'll be going undercover as a boy. She's not looking forward to it. But she's the only one who will fit the bill, personality-wise. Puck is too energetic (and horrible at staying in character), Pinocchio has forsworn lying in an attempt to make up for what he's done, Basil is too young, and everyone else is too old. So that leaves Sabrina dressed as a boy.

Right now, the boys are training her to act like a boy- she may be the right one for the job, and she may never have been particularly feminine, but Sabrina is still a girl, and she has to learn how to walk, how to talk, how to stand, and how to joke, all over again. She's having a hard time. She's never thought of herself as a girly-girl, but so many of her mannerisms are just... female.

She's glad that she's at least not super curvy.

Puck is training her in the fine art of fart jokes right now, and it's so weird. But she's actually... kind of enjoying herself.

He's a pretty good teacher, when he's not being a jerk. And he actually is kind of funny.

Dirty Little Secret, AAR:

Sabrina and Puck are together- sort of. They're not telling anyone, and they're not holding hands or anything coupley.

Mostly what they're doing is making out in private, or doing very, very bad things- breaking and entering just for the heck of it, for example. Puck's convinced Sabrina to egg cars with him a few times. She's actually found it really fun.

All her time with Puck, particularly when they drive around town at night, is fun, because it's exciting. It's just dangerous enough that she gets a thrill from it (a thrill she won't tell anyone else she wants, won't tell anyone but Puck she loves) but not dangerous enough that she's actually going to be in danger.

Besides, with Puck she feels safe physically.

She knows it's wrong. It has to be. But she can't stop herself.

It's just so much fun.

She's getting her childhood back and learning so much about herself and Puck at the same time. They're both being bad, and it feels so good.

It's when they're being juvenile delinquents that she realizes she's in love with this boy. She never stops to wonder if it's only adrenaline.

Never stops to wonder if she's secretly an adrenaline junkie.

And for his credit, he never suggests that she is (even if he knows it's true).

Move Along, AAR

Puck's life has fallen apart. Sabrina broke up with him again- she says it's for good this time, Jake has decided to stay in Ferryport Landing to take care of his aging mother and left Puck alone, and he's still staying there now, even though Granny's-

Well.

She's not doing so hot. In fact, he's pretty sure she's dying. He knows 'cause she's told him so. She told him she's growing old so she can die because she wants to see her husband again. She thought he deserved to know and might even understand.

His mother and brother don't need him in Faerie and probably don't want him, Daphne and Red are mad at him because he broke Sabrina's heart (she did just as much breaking as he did, thanks very much), same with Henry and Veronica. Pinocchio's gone off to college and doesn't want to hang out with any of them. And Basil doesn't know what to think.

His friends from before the Grimms think he's sold out and are pretty disappointed in him, so they don't want to hang out.

Puck is alone.

So he's going to leave. He doesn't know where, but he's going to go off and do his own thing, and it's going to be fun. Even if he has to fight against himself constantly to make it enjoyable.

AN~ So. A thing, guys:

I AM OPENING THIS STORY UP FOR SUGGESTIONS/REQUESTS.

Don't get too excited. This is the ONLY chapter for which you can write in a suggestion. And I'm only doing it because the next chapter will probably be the LAST chapter, and I'm running out of songs. Now, I COULD actually do the shuffle part of this challenge and use my new free iPod to write the last songs and keep the chapter from being embarrassingly short, or I could take some more suggestions. I figure I might as well do both. Because this story was founded on suggestions, and I'd like to keep it in the same spirit.

So yeah. For this chapter and THIS CHAPTER ONLY, you may suggest a song or two in your review. Try not to request too many, because I'll be capping it off at twelve suggestions, and it's first come, first serve. I'm not too worried because this fic doesn't draw a lot of reviews, but be considerate of other people, that's all. Any leftover space I'll shuffle it up.
