Chapter 3: Pit vs Retuns and Luna's turn to shine

Hello again, people. It's me, Surretuns, with the chapter you have been waiting for. Pit vs Retuns. Light vs Dark. And, as you can see from the name of this chapter, something majestic happens.

This is my first fight scene so, I apologize if doesn't reach your expectations;

Pit's POV

Music option #1: Boss battle 1

Game: Super Smash Bros. Brawl;

Music option #2: Bowser battle

Game: Super Mario Galaxy 2;

"And this battle shall commence... NOW!" Lady Palutena just finished saying that and me and Retuns were standing still. Probably he is waiting for me to do the first move, but if I do that he'll find some way to counter it. So I'll do a fake out. I charged my bow and he started to move. I fired it and he started running to the left on four. He was faster than I thought. I tried hiding behind a rock and was greeted by his claws. I tried defending but then, his tail, that was sharper than any of my weapons, was wrapping itself into my arm. I took this oportunity to try and hold it, but, suddenly, he opened his mouth and from there a smaller mouth with sharper teeth emerged.

"Ewww. That's disgusting."

"But it' so awesome, isn't it?"

"YOU CAN TALK USING THIS MOUTH?!"

"Less talking and more fighting." He tried to bite me, but I got free of his tail and went a good distance while he was noticing what happened.

"Lady Palutena! Give me my Claws!" As I said that my Bow disappeared and my Claws took it's place.

"Ohhhhh, so this is the power you wanted to test? Pretty cool claws, I might say. But let's see if they will protect you from THIS!" He literary appeared right from nowhere and gave me a punch on the face. Man, that hurts. I think I'm already bleeding. Fortunately that gave me the chance to give him a 5-hit combo and even burn him, but somehow he didn't bleed, strange. He grabbed me with his tail and put me upside down in the air. Just how strong is this creature? At least that gave me an idea. I started to scratch his tail as fast as I could.

"It's no use. My tail is harder than you think." Crap! Oh. How could I forget that I could shoot him? I aimed at his feet and started to shoot them and it actually worked, he dropped me and started to run away from me. I took that time to hide behind a rock and think but, suddenly, he started talking.

"You really think that hiding can help you? I cannot see you but I can sense your smell and hear you breathing. Even if the audience tries to distract me by making noises or using perfumes I can distinguish you. I'll give you 1 minute to show yourself or I'll attack." Great. That's what I needed. Some time to think.

Maybe if I try to snipe him with my staff... No. If I lose the shot the match is over. Maybe if use some homing weapon... That's it!

Lady Palutena. Send me my Palm.

Ohhhhhhh. You want to finish the fight with one of your lover's weapons?

I'm serious! I need my Palm.

Okay. Sending a Palm and receiving some Claws.

Thank you.

My Claws disappeared and my Viridi Palm took their place.

It's now or never. I thought that as I used a Charged Shot on Retuns's direction. He tried to dodge it but it kept following him and, after some seconds, it hit him dead-center.

"I must confess that this was unexpected. But some roses won't make you win this match." He started running towards me ready to give me one final blow, but I still have some tricks up my sleeve. The audience was starting to get tense. I must find his weak spot. Wait a sec... He already showed it to me. His mouth is his weak spot. Now how to get a shot there? That's it! I aimed to his left and shot there. Fortunately he'll look at it. He looks at it and... Jumps? This is getting bad. I don't have much time. Wait. What if I use the Charged Shot to distract him? I shot it and he started running to the left. That's my chance! I use a smaller Charged Shot some spaces in front of him while he's still distracted. He doesn't notice it and it hits him right on the mouth. While he's flying backwards, the other Charged Shot hits him, giving a lot of damage. It actualty explodes. The smoke was still high, so we have to wait for it to dissipate. It dissipated and, for everyone's surprise, he was standing still, but he wasn't moving. Some seconds later, he colapsed on the arena and turned back into a human.

"So... I think you won this one, Pit. It was, honestly, a good match but it seems that I'm still not used with these powers."

"Thank you."

"I think I'm seeing things. I can see a lot of big pink things with a huge eye." And he blacked out. Wait. Big pink things with huge eyes? But those are Monoeyes. Oh no. I looked to the sky and saw that there were a lot of them coming this way.

"The Underwold!" I shouted and everyone looked above. Those that couldn't fight started to run, while those who can started to shoot at them. Most of them were dodging the shots, and they were going into Retuns's direction. They want to capture him! Suddenly, the place was starting to get hot and I could hear barking. Does that means...

"It's Twinbellows!" I shouted and the two-headed fiery dog appeared. It was bigger than the last time we met.

Helia's POV

We tried escaping the arena but we saw that Retuns was still there, blacked out, and Luna started to panic.

"Guys, what about Retuns?"

"You mean he's still there?" Nathan asked.

"We can't just let him here to die."

"You're right. But, how can we save him? We do not have powers." I asked her.

"We just need to take some time and get him when those monsters aren't noticing."

"Luna, I know Retuns is my brother but, entering in the middle of the battle can be pretty dangerous."

"I know that, but we could just do this and... My head... Hurts."And she fainted.

"LUNA!"

Inside Luna's mind, Luna's POV

I was in a completely white place with nothing but air. Wait. Scratch that. I think there's not even air here. It didn't took long until this place got dark and full of stars and a woman with a hair like mine appeared.

"Who are you? And why do you look so much like me?"

"It's because, Luna, I'm your mother, Lua."

"You're... My mother?"

"Just her spirit. But that's not why I came to talk to you. I'm here to unlock your true potential and to help you save the one you treasure." She extended her hand towards me and I felt a headache again, but, this time, I also felt something happening to my body. I started getting bigger, my hair disappeared, I could feel a tail growing, something growing on my back (probably wings), two of my toes disappeared and the others started to sharpen, a collar appeared around my neck, some hammer-like things with magenta chains around it appeared on my hands, my skin started getting dark purple, my ears became pointed, and my jaw started to adjust itself to my body. Damn, it hurts. After this, I felt my consciouness fading and the urge to kill everything appearing. (A/N: For those that don't know, it's the Wargoyle from Kingdom Hearts 3D.)

LvD arena, Nathan's POV

Oh, my god. What do I do? If something happens to Luna, Retuns will kill me!

"Nathan! Look!" I looked at Luna and saw that there was a fiery aura around her. Does this means she's transforming? She started to float and the aura enveloped her. After some time it dissipated and, in Luna's place, there was a big purple creature, with yellow ears, colorful wings, a rainbow-striped whip-like tail, a yellow jaw, yellow-green feet, but, the strangest parts are the blue hammer-like things with magenta chains around its hands.

"Hrmm." It started to wake up. I hope this is Luna. It them stood up and, with a mighty roar, it entered the battle.

"A Wargoyle? What is this thing doing here?" The blue man with the trident asked, surprised.

Helia's POV

Music: Majestic Wings

Game: Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance;

If that's Luna, she's fighting viciously, shooting fireballs from her mouth, using those hammers to smash the creatures, grabbing them with her tail and throwing them at a rock so strongly, the rock even cracks, even shooting projectile with those hammers, that I now discovered are Hammer-Guns, shooting a big fireball at the air and making it explode. After brutally destroying every single one of those monsters, she turned to the gods that were in a defensive pose, and started to slowly walk towards them, with fire on her eyes. Oh no.

"Nathan, we have to stop her! She's going to kill them!"

"But. What can we do? Stand in front of her?"

"That's actually a good idea." I grabbed him and went running.

"Helia, are you crazy? We cannot stop something this big!"

"Maybe she recognises us."

"Ugh. I hope this Works." We were in front of Luna and she was still walking towards the gods.

"Luna, it's me, Helia, your sister. Don't you remember me?" She stopped for a few seconds and let out a roar while she was preparing to attack.

"LUNA! STOP!" That voice. It's Retuns's voice. I looked for him and he was behind Luna, all hurt from his battle with Pit.

Speaking of Pit, where is he? As I thought that a loud howl followed by an explosion was heard.

This probably answer my question. Going back to Retuns and Luna. They got a bit distracted by the explosion, but they already returned their attentions to each other.

"Luna. Control yourself. This is not you. The Luna we know is always looking towards her friends. This creature is trying to control you. Fight against it!" Retuns said that and Luna's Hammer-Guns disappeared leaving her with her two purple hands. She put her hands on her head, as if she's trying to show who rules her mind. After some time, she fell to her knees and a light envolved her. The light dissipated and she was still in her monster form, but with a huge color diference. Her skin was green, her tail was still the same thing, her jaw was blue, and her Hammer-Guns were yellow now.

"Retuns..." That's strange. When she talks in this form, it looks like she has multiple voices. A light envolved her again and, there she was in her human form.

"Retuns." She went running to him and hugged him like there was no tomorrow. They're so cute together. Retuns was probably feeling pain from the hug but he didn't care about that and started to hug her back. As they were hugging Pit returned.

"Okay. Did I lose something?"

"Believe me, Pit, you lose a lot of things." Luna said to him, still hugging Retuns. He finally succumbed to the pain and released Luna, but she wasn't letting him go anytime soon.

"I think it'll be better if we take Retuns to the infirmary, or else he may get worse." Pit said that, and Luna, realising she was hurting Retuns, let him go.

"Errr... Did I interrupt something?"

"Actually, you just saved Retuns." I whispered to Pit. I looked to the gods and I saw that they were not happy with what happened. And... Where did the blue man's trident go?

Somewhere in the Underwold, 3rd Person POV

In a fortress where all the monsters gather, in the throne room with its beautiful yet deadly black chandeliers with blue flames, there was an armored man, on the throne, waiting paitiently for his troops to return. The surviving Monoeyes appeared and they were holding a trident. The man started to laugh.

"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. At last, Poseidon's trident, the Fury of the Sea, is mine, alongside Hades's blade, the Doom of the Living. Now the only piece missing is Palutena's staff, the Grace of the Light. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA."

And I finish this chapter here. With the bad guy. Man, this sounds cliché. Who is this armored man? Why does he want Palutena's staff? Will Nathan and Helia discover their true power before this happens? Tune in for the next chapter of Kid Icarus: A new beggining. Same Pit-time. Same Pit-site.
