A/N New Update!
The old lady behind me tapped me on the shoulder and glared as she shoved pass me to get to her seat, not exactly an easy feat with this tiny aisle way. I shook my head and looked down at my ticket again, 6 B. My day was already crazy enough and I didn't want to deal with him and his bitch of a wife, Alice. Speaking of Alice, I wonder where she was- usually she stuck like glue to his side, maybe they got a divorce? No, that couldn't be, they were mated for life; that's always another thing I didn't understand, with both the wolves with their Imprints and the vampires. How can there be such thing as a mate when Edward told me I was his yet had zero difficulty leaving me in the dust? If all goes well, which it hasn't been lately, the plane would land in Texas and I would go on my merry way with absolutely no interaction with any of the Cullen's.
Steeling myself for the inevitable I moved towards my seat, which thankfully was the window seat. Scooting past Jasper with a brisk "Excuse me" I sank down into my seat and pulled out my book, iPod, and headphones and aligned them neatly on the tray table. After Edward left me in my near catatonic state, I had basically destroyed my room with mess and clutter. The end result was a epic battle between my belongings and myself that took days to sort out. Just call me a neat freak, I guess.
I turned towards Jasper, deciding that I wasn't going to sit this entire flight out in awkward silence nor was I going to let him make the first move communication wise.
"Let's cut to the chase, Jasper. I want to know why you are here and why all of a sudden, out of the blue you are the second Cullen I have seen today, after nearly three years of nothing." I said calmly, even though inside I felt like screaming at him.
The last thing I was going to do was sit there and be the meek little girl I used to be, and once again fall into their trap, letting them step all over me.
Gauging his reaction, I watched as his eyes widened. His eyes were one of the oddest colors I had ever witnessed on a vampire. They were gold like the rest of the vegetarian family but were tinged a permanent red from his time in the southern vampire wars when he fed solely off of human blood.
"Bella Swan, it's been quite a while hasn't it? I knew it was you the second you walked on the plane. To answer your questions, I'm on the plane to go and visit my brother Peter and his wife, and for the other- well, that's something I'm not sure of. I haven't been in contact with the Cullen's for about two years now and I don't consider myself one."
I remembered the time Edward was explaining about Jasper's past, he was very vague about the whole thing but he did mention something about a Peter and Charlotte. Just my luck we would meet on the same flight right after I saw Edward, yeah right. There was something wrong there but I'm not exactly sure what.
"I see. And yes, it has been awhile. Which leads me to wonder why you people keep appearing in my life. Since you don't consider yourself a Cullen anymore, what made yourself and Alice decide to think that way? I'm assuming she's here along with you?" I replied.
His eyes instantly turned stony and guarded as he spoke, "Alice is not, along with the rest of the Cullen's, a part of my life any longer."
Wait, what?
