After Rosalie had been cleaned up and put to bed, Leah decided that she needed some air and so she went outside and looked up at the sky. Edward, who had already been outside, came to stand next to her. "Sometimes I want to fly away from this place and forget everything that ever happened while I was. It gets to the point that sometimes I wonder if Rosalie has the right idea; maybe death is the only way to escape this place. When I was younger and Sam's father was in charge, this was actually a pretty great place to live. Nobody was forced to stay, we didn't have to live in fear, and most of all, we were a true family. When old man Uley was still alive everything was better. I wish we could go back to those days, but I'm not a time traveler and therefore it will never happen, but I wish it was possible, I wish it with all my heart."

The mind reader nodded in understanding. "It sounds like it was a great place back then. Leah, you realize we can't stay here right? This place is going to be the death of everyone and I won't stand here and sit idly by and watch you die bit by bit each day."

"I can't leave my friends here." She countered quickly even though she wanted to say yes. "Sam will torture them for information if he thinks any of them may know where I am. You see why we can't leave? I would never be able to live with myself if something happened to any of them. Do you think I would be able to continue living if I lost you? The only way to ensure safety of everyone I care about is by staying here. I wish that I could leave with you, get married, and have a bunch of kids like the normal folks, but you and I are not normal and that means we will never be able to have a normal life."

"What if we took everyone with us?" He questioned while watching her expression carefully to see if he could get a feel on what she may be thinking.

The winged woman couldn't believe what she was hearing. "Are you suggesting that a group of us leave together? Wouldn't that be even more dangerous? A group of people is a lot harder to hide than just two. Where would we even go? How would we survive? We wouldn't have a place to live and I'm not sure if you have job skills, but i know that I don't and without jobs we won't have any money to get the things we need and-"

Her boyfriend pressed his lips to hers softly in order to put her rant to an end. "Leah, my love, we can do anything if we put our minds to it. A group of us would be stronger, better able to defend ourselves if Sam did indeed find us. You need to think about which is the better choice for everyone involved. Do you really want to stay here and take the change of Rosalie trying to kill herself again and succeeding? What if Sam decides to start selling Alice out again? What if he does it to you as well? I would rather take my chances on our own than to stay here and wait for the next shoe to drop."

Leah knew he had a point and yet she wasn't sure if she could go through with it. "I hate to admit this to you, but I am scared. This place is all I have ever known. I don't even know if I could survive in the outside world. Heck, we don't even know if the others would want to come with us should we decide to leave."

The bronze haired male took one of her hands in both of his. "Before we make any decisions would you at least talk to the others to see if they are interested in leaving? There is no harm in talking about it is there?"

"I suppose talking about it would be alright." She relented after a moments pause. "Just to make it clear, I am not saying yes, but I am not saying no either. We will talk to the others and then we can go from there. Promise me you won't be angry if the outcome is not what you were hoping for."

"You are willing to talk about it and that is enough for me right now Leah." He told her before taking her hand. "Since Rosalie is resting I thought we could go for a walk. I thought we could maybe go up to the bluff and you could show me that hovering thing again. I still fully believe you could fly if only you could get over your fear and my plan is to help you do that slowly day by day. Enough talk of unpleasant things, lets head to the bluffs and when we get back we will check on Jacob and Rosalie. Tomorrow I will tell the others we need to have a meeting to discuss something serious and set up a time and place. I love you Leah and I swear everything will work no matter what happens."

"I sure hope so." Leah said with a sigh. "I am putting my faith in you and that says quite a lot considering it isn't often I put my faith in anyone or anything. You have my heart already and now you have my trust and I know you know what that means. I will run away with you if we can find a way. I once told you that my friends were my family and I meant it. If you and I leave then they will come along as well, because you were right; we are stronger together."
