"You can add Victoria, James, Charlotte, and Peter to the list of yeses." Leah told her boyfriend from where she was sitting on her bed with her legs crossed and heap of small notes written in a code they had made up that only the 'freaks' could understand. "Tia is still undecided, but Benjamin is another sure yes. We have a lot of undecided, but we did give them a couple of days to think about it. Amun has decided that he wants to stay and therefore he will not attend any more meetings because that way he won't have to make up lies when Sam pressures him for answers. Jasper tried to talk to him, but his mind is set and we have to respect his choice just like he will respect ours."

Edward nodded as he marked a small board with a notch and a letter next to each not which represented everyone who had decided they wanted to take the chance and leave. "We knew that some may not want to leave, but so far we have more who are willing to leave which is a good thing."

After Rosalie had told them of the horror she had been forced to endure over the years, some of the other women stepped forward and as soon as that happened a lot of people knew then and there they were leaving no matter what waited for them on the outside. A few of the men had stepped forward as well, which stunned Leah because she had been clueless about Sam sexual abusing some of the younger males, but after having time to think on it, the winged woman realized she shouldn't be surprised since it was just another way for Sam to dominate those around him and that's something he thrived on since it made him feel stronger and higher above all those around him. Someday he would get what was coming to him and Leah hoped that she could come back for a short time just to see that happen.

"I know that." She replied before sighing and setting the papers beside her on the bed. Patting the empty space on her other side, she motioned for her mind reading lover to get off of the floor and come sit next to her. "It almost doesn't feel real does it?"

The bronze haired male knew he could easily read her mind to get the answer to his yet to be spoken question, but it was pretty obvious she needed to talk and so he tilted his head quizzically while at the same time cupping her right cheek with his left hand as his thumb caressed her bottom lip. "What do you mean by that?"

Leah shrugged before letting her head fall against his soldier. She was exhausted in every form possible though she doubted trying to sleep would do any good; her mind was racing and that wasn't conductive to sleep. "Well for one I never thought leaving this place was an option for anyone unless they escaped in death. I mean to see almost everyone wanting to leave, it's almost unbelievable. The idea of living a somewhat normal life, having all the things I wanted as a child such as a family, love, and marriage, is beyond anything I ever could have hoped for and I woe it all to you Edward; you make me realize we all deserve better and I love you for it. I know if Embry was here today, he would tell me that I'm so lucky to have found someone like you."

"Then I would tell him that he's wrong and I'm the one who lucked out when I found you." The smile on his face as he said this had the love of his life feeling loved; something she wasn't sure she would ever get used to. "I will admit the idea of going of on our own seems terrifying, it also has an appeal to it I cannot exactly explain at the moment. Anyways, I think we have done enough for today, I have a surprise for you so you need to come with me and before you even ask, no, I am not going to give you a hint. Come on, it's about time we head out; I put a lot of work in to this surprise and besides that, you deserve it after everything you've done lately. You have even inspired me Leah; you've inspired me to fight for what I believe to be right instead of running. For once in my life I am going to face danger head on and I would never be able to do this without you."

The russet skinned female shot him a look full of concern and slight amusement. "As long as this is not another one of your attempts to try and make me fly then I am all for it, but if you push me off a cliff or something, well you can use your imagination to figure that out on your own. For the record, I think you've always been brave, I mean you pursued me even when I made it pretty clear I had no interest in getting romantically involved with someone. Most guys never would have attempted something so dangerous and yet you did and on top of that you succeeded."

This time it was Edward who shrugged as they headed outside. "Well what can I say? I like to live dangerously and dating you is is probably the most dangerous thing I have or will ever do and not because of this place or Sam. To be honest, I am more terrified of pissing you off than I am of anyone else. I'm pretty sure I could take any of them, but with you I would not have a chance."

"You better stay on my good side then." Leah replied with a light laugh following her words.

"I plan on doing exactly that and it starts right now." The bronze haired mind reader told her as they headed off so he could show her the surprise he'd planned for her with the help of Alice and Rosalie.

Also, do you all want to see the surprise or a quick flash back of how it was planned and then the chapter after that would be Edward showing it to her.
