AN: I'm so sorry I could't update... the Internet went down then the chapter wasn't finished and then I had HW and blah blah blah... AND I'M BACK NOW! soooooo... little bit of Fiyeraba then... *looks menacingly at Morrible* Da Fish... *Dramatic music*
Fiyero rushed from the walk in closet to the bedroom when he heard Elphaba squeal. He found his wife lying in the bed with the covers over her head "Fae?" he managed to make out a small muffled "Yes?" from under the tangled mess of satin silver blue sheets, he chuckled and sat at the edge of the bed "I haven't seen you under the sheets like this since shiz" seeing Elphaba peek from under her hiding place he just laughed again "I don't remember me hiding under sheets like this… and even if I did then there must've been a huge storm!" Elphaba squeaked
"Why are you under there anyway?"
"I saw something outside" she replied in a small vulnerable voice that melted Fiyero's heart in a second "What did you see outside?"
"A- a shadow" she said pulling the sheets off her head
The former vinkun prince raised an eyebrow "A shadow?"
"Yes… it looked like Morrible" Elphaba whimpered
Fiyero took Elphaba's hands and stared into the teary chocolate eyes staring back at him "Elphaba, morrible isn't going to get us. She doesn't know we're here" he stated calmly, hugging her "Why don't you clean your face and try to get some sleep?" Elphaba nodded and went to the bathroom. Turning on the sink she froze again, staring at the running water. Before she melted in kiamo Ko she actually had a water allergy and couldn't shake the fact that she didn't need to be cautious of water anymore, Fiyero came in and saw her staring at the rushing water, sighing he put his hand on her shoulder "Fae, do you want me to get you a washcloth for your face?" she nodded and he grabbed a wash cloth, once he gave it to her she frowned "Do you think Maria has the allergy?" she asked frustrated she rubbed her face with the wet cloth fast
"There is a possibility but I doubt it" Fiyero reassured her, helping her re-wash her face "Fae, are you okay? seriously?"
She huffs annoyed because Fiyero was babying her "Yes. I'm fine… I just had a bad dream before I saw the shadow and now I'm just confused… and when I'm confused-"
"You get annoyed" Fiyero finished with her, pushing her into the bed and tucking her in "I'm going to check on Tom… I think he's still downstairs doing bills" he chuckled "I'll come back up in a minute" he closed the curtains and head down the stairs. Elphaba awoke four hours later to the sound of shouting and immediately runs down the stairs to see Derek and Nia screaming at each other
"DUDE IF I CAME WITH INSTRUCTIONS YOU WOULDN'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO HANDLE ME!" Derek yelled at the teenager
"I KNOW EXACTLY HOW TO HANDLE YOU! AND I'M NOT BOSSY!… I just know what you should be doing" she shrugs
Cecelia stepped between them "Stop… Maria wouldn't want to see us fighting when she wakes up…" Cecelia slowed down when she spotted a silver necklace in the shape of a witch hat around the emerald witch's neck, Elphaba looked at the other two teenagers in the room confused
Nia sighed "Okay Cecelia is easily distracted by shiny objects just like I presume Glinda is-"
"Ooh! SHINY!" Cecelia exclaimed before snatching Elphaba's necklace and running off
"HEY!" Elphaba and Nia sprinted off after the short strawberry blonde shouting protests and comments "THAT WASN'T SUCH A NICE MOVE!" Derek shouted after Cecelia as she dashed back into the room with Elphaba and Nia high tailing right behind her "GIVE. THAT. BACK!" Nia demanded the older girl when they cornered her
"Um… okay!" Cecelia agreed before throwing the necklace to Elphaba who sighed with relief "What is that for anyway?"
Elphaba smiled when she opened the witch hat revealing a picture of her, Glinda, Fiyero, Nessarose, Boq and Avaric smiling together in a party room holding up bottles of soda "It was a gift from Gllinda on my last birthday with her…" she explained before shutting it "I never take it off" she grinned
"You can say that again- OW!" Fiyero moaned as he trudged down the stairs, hitting his foot on the banister as he turned to face the group, Derek just shrugged "I did that four times last week-" he was interrupted by Maria's squeal as she ran into Elphaba turning a corner "Oof!"
"We're all running into each other. Great. " Peach groaned as she pulled her sister into her room
Raé pulled on Peach's arm as she struggled to get out of her grip and glanced at Nia "But I'm tired! Nia! tell her I can sleep in- AHH!" Bonnie and Bunii had run into Peach and Raé after they came out their door from their bedroom. Tom came rushing down the stairs "what is going on?!" he yelled
Elphaba shook her head "I have no Idea…"
"I've never been this clumsy before" Maria complained getting off the ground "Ever"
Cecelia frowned "I think the fish has something to do with this…" she muttered accusingly
Derek chuckled "Isn't she gone until Maria is thirty? Maria's only twenty one. Twenty two in a couple of days"
Elphaba stalked over to Derek stopping a few feet from him "Wait! she's Twenty one?!"
"Yeah"
Elphaba pushed her hand through her hair "Oh shiz… this is bad. This is bad"
Lindsay walked over from her shared bedroom with Ali "Why?" Lindsay asked Elphaba, holding her shoulder
"Um… the ruler of the emerald city has to be crowned between twenty one and a Syzygy…" Fiyero clarified, finally getting down the stairs with his bruised foot and going to get breakfast ready
Ali scrunched her nose up "What does 'Syzygy' mean… what is it?"
"It's a celestial event when three celestial bodies cross paths. Most of the time it's the sun, moon and a planet" Elphaba explained, Bunii just shrugged and sat down at the dinner table. Elphaba frowned at her food as Fiyero sat it in front of her.
"What's the matter? don't like Eggs and Bacon?" The green witch shot a glare at Tom before helping herself to some toast instead "When is your birthday this year, Maria?" she asked as she made some coffee as well. Maria thought about it for a minute "um… the thirty first of January, at midnight" she replied finally, taking a sip of water out of a straw. Elphaba shrugged before freezing up when she saw a figure appear in the doorway of the large kitchen. "Hello dearies" Maria spat out her water. Nia dropped her fork. Derek's eyes widened up. Peach, Bunii, Bonnie and Raé squealed and froze up. While Tom sat there confusified "And you are?" he asked in a slow-Olaf-like voice
" Angela Morrible" she introduced
"You're mad that's for sure" Elphaba muttered, Fiyero laughed at his wife's joke before shushing her. The fish-woman-thing glared at Elphaba before continuing across the floor towards the table "Maria" Maria seemed to shrink under her gaze as Morrible breathed on her "Come" the young girl obeyed and followed Morrible into the door frame again. Tom shot up from his chair sending it a meter behind him "MARIA ARORA CHRISTINA REDWOOD! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"
Maria stopped to send a comforting smile in her father's direction "With her, I'll be fine. Really" she reassured unsuccessfully as she was nearly in tears her self
"Come along dear we don't have all day" Morrible commanded
"SHE'S NOT GOING WITH YOU! GET THAT THROUGH YOU THICK FISH BRAINED SKULL!" Raé jumped up from her chair, slamming her hands on the table "YOU'RE EVIL!"
Morrible cackled at the outburst "Yes, I'm evil. It's just a fun kind of evil"
Raé stared at Morrible blankly "My brain is giving me the silent treatment today what was that again?"
Morrible rolled her eyes "Get this through you're thick teenage skull" she walked over and leaned between Raé and Nia, others in the room poised to attack the fish should she try anything "SHE'S COMING WITH ME!" she yelled before trampling back over to Maria and summoning a portal. 'QUICK! JUMP INTO THE PORTAL! Tom you stay here incase Maria escapes!' Elphaba charged telekinetically, the room sprang into action as the teenagers, Broadway stars and Ozians bolted for the swirling portal. The group tripped over each other, giving Morrible and Maria time to get into the portal. They sprinted through the spinning vortex on and on for what seemed for around fifteen minutes until they all started to fall into the one place Elphaba and Fiyero hoped they would never have to see again. Oz. Ali was the first to stand up, being the one on the top, and brushed off some dust "Did any body else… I dunno… REALIZE THAT WE COULD DIED BACK THERE?!" she demanded the group in a tangled mess on the ground.
AN: *shudders* I really hate it when Ali yells...
