Cry's P.O.V.
I woke up again, fatigued and freezing. I left the AC on and it was lightly snowing outside. I slipped of the bed and went straight to the shower setting it to my ideal temperature. Finishing quickly I dried myself and wore a random shirt with my jeans; placing a leather jacket over everything for it was freezing outside. I grabbed a poptart and inserted them into the toaster, wearing my shoes in the process. As soon as the poptart came out I grabbed it, ignoring the heat it was emitting, slowly giving me a small burn. I raced outside my room and headed for the door.
"Bye Cry! Have a nice day!~" Miki said, waving her hands.
"Bye Miki, you too!" I replied shutting the door behind me and running to the car in front of me.
"Hey Cry…" Russ gave of a smile as inside the car. Russ never stopped picking me up, no matter how much I protested I would only end up riding his car to work.
I greeted him back as he entered the vehicle.
I reached the Place; snow was falling slowly, some hitting me in the face sometimes as I entered the building.
Work ended nothing special happening, like always. I went home tired, like always. And I stood in front of Pewd's House staring at it for about five minutes asking myself if I should enter it, like always. Based on Luca's words he still loves me and I know I did a mistake, he will be waiting for me yet why do I still hesitate to go back? It is just there, never changing, only waiting. I left the area and headed home.
I opened the door and once again, was greeted by Miki. "Hey Cry! How's work today?" She said in her usual tone. She has always been like this, just there in the receptionist desk, waiting for somebody or anybody to pass by.
"Hey Miki. Work was well… boring…" I said, facing her as she gave me my room card.
"Cheer up Cry! Something fun will come up eventually." She said with a big smile plastered on her face. I have never seen Miki frown, or even look sad. She always had a smile which radiated a soothing aura.
"Yeah, maybe…" I said, heading for my room. I held the card key in my left hand and went for my door but before that I stared at the painting. I believed what Luca was telling me and I tried to tell myself that Pewdie knew it too." My train of thought was broken as someone accidentally bumped into me making me fall. A guy with long red messy hair fun of hairpins faced me, tears visible in his eyes. "I-i-I'm... I'm sorry!" He shouted as he ran outside, not even bothering to help me. Was he scared? He looked scared, terrified even yet it looked more like heartbreak.
I looked forward; apparently the guy came from Avan's room. Avan went out and he saw me on the floor and he rushed to help me up.
"Cry, why're you on the floor?" The strawberry blonde guy said with worry in his tone. He gave me his and I gladly took his hand.
"Thanks Avan" I said as I stood up. "Who was that guy with the hairpins who ran away?" I asked.
"Oh so he made you fell…" He said sounding a bit pissed. "That guy's name is Riddle, he's well… my boyfriend." He said, stuttering a bit.
I was shocked, Avan's gay? It's not like that this is the first time I met another person who's either gay or bi but I never expected Avan to be. Based on first impressions he looks completely straight.
"Why did he look scared?" I asked. "He had tears running down his cheeks."
"Well…" His voice trails off, "We just broke up…" his face was staring at the ground, he looked like he was about to break.
"Well don't worry Avan. There is still a lot of other people in this world." I said, "Maybe even better than him."
He nodded in response. I said my goodbye and went to my door.
"You know Cry? You sound like Luca sometimes…" Avan said in a soft voice.
"Yeah… sometimes." I smiled
I rested on my bed for about fifteen minutes until I heard somebody knock on the door.
"Come in, It's opened" I shouted. Iris came in with a bowl of cookies. It smelled like it was baked recently.
"Hello Cry!" The black haired girl greeted handing me the cookies. "These are for you Cry, I made everyone a batch."
"Oh thanks Iris but if I may ask, Why do you cook for everyone always? Doesn't it make you tired?" I asked, biting into one of the cookies. The taste of chocolate chip and cinnamon filled my mouth. They tasted delicious.
"Well I just like cooking!" Was her only reply. "Are you going to eat with us today?"
"Yeah, I'll be there in a little bit" I said. The girl said a small "Hooray" and scurried outside.
I ate most of the cookies and placed the bowl on my nightstand beside the table. I stood up and went to the lobby like always. I heard Avan open his door.
"Hey Cry." Avan said
"Hey Avan. Let's go eat." I said. We walked side by side to the lobby and I accidentally brushed my hand over Avan's hand. Avan flinched by the quick contact and I looked at him.
"whatsup Avan?" I questioned.
"Nothing…"Was his reply. His face had a small blush.
I shrugged it off and sat on the sofa next to Sven. The food took longer than usual so we had to wait longer. Me and Sven haven't actually spoken one on one before, this might be my chance.
"Um… Hey Sven." I tried to talk casually.
"Yeah, hey Cry." He replied back. His voice sounding extremely tired.
"You sound tired, why don't you rest Sven?" I spoke in a slightly concerned voice.
He nodded in agreement, "Yeah I will after I eat Iris' meal." He simply spoke back.
Soon after that Luca and Iris came in with the food on their hands. The food smelled divine.
Luca placed the food on the table and everybody grabbed a plate.
"Ok everyone dig in!" Iris stated cheerfully and everybody followed. I was famished, didn't eat anything for the entire day except for that one poptart I had before I left. I finished my food first and I placed the plate on the wooden table in front of me. I didn't even want to go back to my room; the lobby felt so comfy with the fireplace and whatnot. I could just stay here and not move.
"Hey Cry! Wake up!" I heard a faint voice calling for me. I felt their hands on my sides as they shook me to awaken. "Cry wake up!" It repeated.
I eventually got a bit pissed and opened my eyes. "What?" I said in a sleepy tone. It was Avan and Luca. They were trying to wake me up. "Phew I thought you were dead because of how delicious Iris' cooking is!" Luca joked getting a small giggle from Avan.
I stood up, trying to remember what happened but to no avail so I asked Avan, "Avan what happened?"
"You passed out right after you finished you're meal; we thought you got food poisoning!" Concern obvious on his tone.
"How long was I out?"
"About two hours." Luca stated.
"Wow, I was more exhausted than I expected…" I told myself.
"At least we know you're alive!" Luca said sarcastically.
" Yeah." Me and Avan said in unison. Avan left for his room and Me and Luca were left in the Lobby.
"Hey before you leave can I tell you something?" Luca said stopping me from going to my room.
"Yeah Luca, what's bugging you?"
"Pewdie's gonna come here!" Luca exclaimed joy obviously in his voice. I for one am shocked. I love Felix, I really do but I'm not ready yet to go back. What am I supposed to do? I asked myself. And I was partially furious; why did Luca move without telling me? Yes, he is my friend and he helped me stand back on my feet but that doesn't mean he could just suddenly barge in and try to make a meeting!
I was already on the floor, tears kept flowing down my cheeks. I was breaking up. This is not happening! It's not that I'm not happy about it though but still. I'm not ready yet.
"Cry? You alright?" Luca knelt beside me. He gave me his hand but I pushed it away. I stood up and spoke in a firm tone, "Why did you do this Luca?" I acted tough; I think it's like a reflex.
"Hmm? What do you mean Cry? Aren't you happy that Pewdie is coming here? I'm giving you a chance to patch up!" I slapped Luca in the face making him wobble a bit; I wanted to punch him but it will be a bit overboard.
"I'm not ready yet!" I shouted making the other man flinch. "What gives you the right to butt in into this relationship!" I continued, Tears came back to my cheeks.
"Well―I…" His voice trailed off, "I thought you would be happy…"
"Happy!? I'm not even close to being happy!" I shouted again; I'm pretty sure I disturbed some of the other tenants.
"I'm sorry for trying to help…" he finally broke down.
Guilt flooded over me. I shouldn't have been so violent to him, he was only been friendly, I realised it just now. I placed my hand on his shoulder saying I'm sorry, but I was cut off by him slapping my hand away. He stood up , smiled and went away. "Luca wait! I'm sorry!" I cried but he just ignored me and continued to walk away to his room soon after I heard a clicking sound signalling that he locked his room shut.
I broke down on the floor being greeted by the sadness again. I just sat there in my knees and let the tears run suddenly I felt two arms wrap around me. I flinched in the sudden contact but quickly relaxed. I didn't know who it was so I tried to turn my head so I can see but I couldn't move for some reason.
"Just let it all out Cry…" This voice sounded familiar, a deep husky tone but something was missing; there was no accent. "Everything will be alright…"
Soon enough I had released all my tears and I fell asleep on the unknown person's arms. I felt the person carrying me bridal style and he reached for my pocket, getting my room card. I heard the door open and he carried me, placing me onto my bed.
"Good night Cry," I heard him say, "Sweet dreams." He said then I felt a pair of lips on my forehead. I didn't even have the strength to flinch so I just went with it. I soon heard footsteps going away. I opened my eyes on the last minute and I saw the person and it surprised me. Avan? Why was he doing this? I just let it slide for the moment; I have to sleep I told myself.
I'm gonna ask him tomorrow its Saturday after all.
Slumber took over the wheel and I just went with it.
Third person
After the events that took place in the lobby and placed Cry in his room, Avan went straight to Luca's room. He knocked sending little echoes across the room. The door opened on its own and Avan entered with no hesitation. Luca sat on the leather armchair with a cup of Tea in his hands.
"Good work A-V-A-N~!" Luca smiled as he drank his Tea.
Avan frowned at his reaction.
"Why are you doing this….? Luca?"
A sinister smile played across Luca's face.
" Why….? Aren't games best played, longer?"
