Why has no one reviewed?

Alex: Because we all hate you.

Hey!

Alex: You're the one who...! Gah!

Dont you throw a tantrum on me. Does someone need to go back to therapy?

Alex: Ug, just read the story...

"Why would it be Cole?" Alex asked. "What possible reason do you have to accuse him like that?!"

"Check this out," Tove said, handing Alex a slip of paper.

Alex studied it for a moment. "It's a handwritten recipt for... Donuts?"

"What?" Tove asked, grabbing the paper. "Oh... Not this paper." She out it away and pulled out another piece of paper. "Read this one."

Alex sighed and grabbed the paper. "Woah, it's in cursive," she muttered. "And it looks like chicken scratch." She handed it to Lucas.

Lucas rolled his eyes. "Okay, it says, 'Dear Pythor, nice work on getting me the explosives. The Bounty blew up nicely and it's beyond repair. We're staying at the hero suit in Ninjago City so send the fake letter there. Signed Cole. P.S. You should probably burn this when you're done reading it.'" He looked up at the ninja. "Who the heck is Pythor?"

"That's the only question you have?" Kai mumbled.

"Hey, I didn't write that letter," Cole defended. "Pythor must've wrote it to trick us again."

Lucas's eyes turned a bright teal color. Cole closed his eyes and wince, falling to one knee. Lucas's eyes returned to normal and Cole pushed himself back up. "You little liar," he snapped. "You blew up he Bounty, hoping to get all the others killed in the process."

Everyone stared at Cole. Alex took a small step back. She felt betrayed by Cole. After a couple months of building trust with him, it all turned out to be a sham. She felt anger flare up inside, and as much as she tried to fight it, she just couldn't. But she couldn't let it out here either. Not in front of the others. "Why?" she choked out. "Why would you do something like this?"

"I..." Cole started but he dropped to his knees, covering his ears. Everyone stared, not quite sure what was going on. "Make him stop!" Cole shouted.

"Lucas, stop," Misako said, shaking her son.

Lucas's eyes were glowing brightly as he stared at Cole. "I... I can't..." Lucas mumbled.

"Luke, please stop," Zoey said, putting a hand on Lucas's shoulder. "You're going to break his psyche."

Alex ran over in front of Lucas. "You need to stop," she said. "Even if it was Cole's fault, we have to find out why."

Lucas directed his gaze to Alex. She winced and fell to the ground. Lucas's eyes turned back to its carmel color and he took a step back. He knelt down and placed his hand on Alex's arm. "Sis, I'm sorry," he murmured.

Alex pushed herself up. She looked to Lucas with a look of fear. "I'm fine," she said, trying to mask her fear with relief that her and Cole were both fine. Except she was anything but fine. Her brother almost killed Cole, and then he almost killed her. Lucas helped her to her feet.

"You sure, Alex?" Lloyd asked, shooting a glare at Lucas.

"I'm sure," Alex lied. "I just need a moment..." She ran upstairs and quickly walked into her and Nya's bedroom. She sat down on her bed and closed her eyes. She sat there for a moment before slipping into a deep trance.

Cole could feel himself going in and out of consiousness. Everytime he tried focusing on something, his mind would go blank. He couldn't comprehend what the others were saying. He knew Kai was asking questions, but he couldn't form words to say he didn't understand.

Nya and Jay helped him onto the couch. "He... rest..." he heard a voice muffle. "Then... why..." Cole finally couldn't keep awake and slipped out of conciseness.

Lucas leaned against the wall, watching everyone, feeling guilty. He had almost killed Cole and his sister just because he was a little ticked. "Hey," Zoey whispered. "It wasn't your fault."

"Yes it was," Lucas insisted. "Zoe, I almost killed them. If I hadn't slipped into my sister's mind I would've kill Cole."

"Lucas, listen, no one is blaming you," Zoey said. "You acted on anger, and you had a right to be angry. You just need to learn to control your powers."

Lucas nodded, though he wasn't really listening to Zoey. He studied Cole for a moment. He didn't even have to use his powers to see how weak his psyche was. He took a deep breath and sighed. "Zoe, I think it'd be better if I left," he said.

"What? Lucas you are not leaving," Zoey said. "You just need rest. Let's go get settled in." The two walked upstairs.

"Knock, knock," Nya said, walking into her and Alex's room. Alex was still in a trance so Nya just walked to her bed.

Alex opened her eyes. "Uh, how long was I in a trance?" she asked.

"Assuming you went into it when you came up... No more than ten minutes," Nya said. "Cole's fine, by the way."

Alex nodded. "Good, I thought it was longer." She was quiet for a moment. "Why do you think Cole did this?"

Nya shrugged. "Blackmail, maybe," she suggested. "Remember, he was reporting to Pythor so he's behind it."

"Of course but..." Alex thought for a moment. "We have to find a way to help Cole. Find out how Pythor is blackmailing him and..."

"I said it might be blackmail. Cole could be doing this because he wants to," Nya interrupted. "Or maybe he used something to turn him against us."

Alex nodded, taking it into consideration. "True... Well it's not Devourer venom."

"How do you know?"

"Because, the first part of the transformation is immediate. According to my uncle, my dad's eyes had changed almost immediately after he was bitten. So that's ruled out."

"Okay, what about how you got turned evil? Maybe Pythor did the same to Cole."

Alex thought it over. "Well, do you know Cole's blood type? Because unless it's O negative, I doubt it."

Suddenly Tove appeared in the room, causing Nya to jump. "Hey, I have a question."

"Yeah, Ghost Girl?" Alex asked.

"Well, since I helped find out who blew up your ship, I think you guys owe me," Tove said. "So can I stay here?"

Alex and Nya exchanged looks. "Well, we don't have another bed..."

"The floor will do," Tove assured them. She sat down. "So you two can continue talking about Cole."

Alex rolled her eyes. "We're just trying to firgured out why he did it."

"So, about his blood type, we can call Lou," Nya suggested.

"Oh... yay..." Alex muttered. "For some reason I doubt he has the same blood type. O negative is a rare blood type. Few people have it."

"Maybe you could ask that pale girl," Tove suggested. "She seems to know everything."

"Yeah, Zoey's a seer. Maybe she could try and see how Pythor turned Cole evil," Nya said.

"I can't," Zoey said, suddenly at the doorway. "I have not fully mastered my ability. My experience in the Underworld has made it weaker. I'm sorry... but I can assure you that Cole's blood type is not O negative. He is B positive like Lucas."

"There, so it isn't Devourer's venom," Alex concluded.

"What's..."

"Ghost Girl, don't ask too many questions," Alex cut Tove off.

"Alex don't be rude," Nya chided.

"Uh, were you going to explain what the Great Devourer is and what its venom does?"

"Point taken..."

"Girls," Zoey interrupted. "We will find out what happened. When Cole awakes and is feeling better, we will ask him."

"What even happened?" Tove asked. "With the pale boy..."

"Lucas acted on anger and could not stop his powers," Zoey told her. "It was only thanks to Alex that he did not kill Cole by breaking his psyche."

"Yeah," Alex mumbled. She knew what she did saved Cole, but she also hated that she did it. She was terrified when Lucas entered her mind. For a moment she didn't trust her brother, but she wasn't about to lose him again so she faked that she was fine. She needed to focus on the main problem though. Cole was working for Pythor, and no one but them knew why.

Well...

Pythor: I like this story so far.

Why thank you Pythor!

Lloyd: Don't thank Pythor!

Cole: Why am I the bad guy?

Alex: That's what we're trying to figure out!

Maybe I just go tired of Cole's adittude!

Jay: Uh... Review!
