Tagiru's Bizarre Adventure

Tagiru's been abducted and now he's on his own as he is taken to someplace…which you probably know where he has been taken to…while a "familiar face" makes an appearance as Xros Heart seeks his help in saving their friend…while Shoutmon is now making his own way to make a rescue while awaiting Taiki's return…

Ch. 18: Roiyaru Chesu ōkoku

Noticing that the two resembled rooks, Gumdramon told Yuu about this, and the teen studied the two opponents carefully, and came with a strategy on how to trap the two, using his X-Loader to summon Rook-Chessmon and then Superstarmon and his Star Armies, and there Yuu told Superstarmon the plan and the Digimon and his Star Armies began to go after the two Rookmons, as they moved in "L"-shaped movements, evading them until Rook-Chessmon found an opening and did a double clothesline that sent the two Digimons down, and there the Star Armies went forward and clobbered the two, though it did little to contain them.

However, the two Rookmons decided to do a hasty retreat, and went towards a vacant hut, which was soon followed by the remaining Pawnmons, and as Yuu checked the hut, the Digimons have already disappeared, and soon Taiki and Nene arrived to assess the situation, and there they realized that Tagiru is still in trouble, so they went towards a certain area and upon arriving, they found the other pawmons standing, and Tagiru is sprawled on the ground, his left temple busted open and Gumdramon grabbed the X-Loader from Taiki and went towards Tagiru, managing to hold on to him just as the Pawnmons and the Rookmons suddenly disappeared, and after that, the Digimons are gone, and have taken Tagiru and Gumdramon with them.

"Yuu!"

"Yuu!"

"Taiki! Onee-chan!"

"They're gone..."

"And they've taken Tagiru with them!"

"Gumdramon's with him as well..."

"This is bad..."

"What now?"

"I know of one person we can approached to..."

Taiki, Nene and Yuu decided to head to the one place they knew and ask someone who can help them in finding Tagiru as they packed their things and leaves the beach.

At the Digimon World, the scene shifts to a place which resembled a royal castle, where the scene zoomed inside and you can see an unconscious Tagiru being dragged in, tied up, and is being carried by several black-colored Rookmons, and he is presented to the leader of this group of "royal Digimons", known as Black King-Mon, and beside him was Black Queen-Mon, and the leaders are quite pleased to have acquired a "hostage" which they can use to coerce Shoutmon to "surrender" his kingdom to him, unaware that before transporting Tagiru here, Gumdramon managed to hid his partner's X-Loader inside his pants before going inside the X-Loader so that he can sneak in undetected, and right now all he and the other Digimons can do is wait.

"Is this the one?"

"Yes...this is the one..oh great black king..."

"My husband...will this human be enough to force Shoutmon to surrender himself and his kingdom to us...?"

"Yes...this is enough...provided that you come up with a good plan..."

"You majesty and highness...what shall we do with him?"

"Throw him to the dungeon!"

"And lock him up..."

"At once, your eminence..."

Soon Tagiru is thrown inside the dungeon and did not bother to see if Tagiru's X-Loader is with him as the guards left after locking him there. After that, Black King-Mon ordered some of the Pawn-Mons to send a message to Shoutmon ordering their immediate surrender by threatening to kill Tagiru, in which the messengers immediately departed for Shoutmon's kingdom.

Back at Kyoto, Taiki, Yuu and Nene searched frantically for the Clock Shop Owner in order to get some answers but to no avail, and as the trio are about to search for more areas, Taiki's X-Loader blared, and there Taiki answered it, where Shoutmon's image appeared, and the two partners talked as the Amano siblings listened after the Digmon spoke with urgent manner.

"Taiki!"

"Shoutmon...good to see you!"

"Me too...but I'm afraid we have bad news..."

"Me too, I'm afraid...we're in a middle of a situation right now..."

"It's about Tagiru, is it...?"

"Huh? You knew?"

"A rival kingdom sent us a letter demanding our kingdom's surrender...and they are using Tagiru as a hostage/bargaining chip..."

"Looks like everything seem to fit in..."

Taiki, Yuu and Nene were alarmed when told that the Royal Chess Digimon army is issuing an ultimatum and threatens to kill off Tagiru unless Shoutmon surrenders himself and his kingdom, and Nene suggests that they head to the Digimon World to meet up with Shoutmon and formulate a plan, which Yuu agrees and the trio decided to head to Shoutmon's kingdom and meet up with him.

"Head for the Digimon World?"

"Yes...and we will work out a plan along with Shoutmon and his army..."

"I agree with nee-san..."

"I see..."

"Yuu is agreeing with me...so what are your thoughts, Taiki?"

"We head to Shoutmon's castle at once..."

"You got it."

"Me too."

"Have your Digimons ready, you two...we'll be needing their help as well...and it's going to be dangerous..."

"We know."

"We're ready!"

"Then we're heading off!"

At the Royal Chess Kingdom, the scene shifts to the dungeon and there you can see Tagiru regaining consciousness, but he finds himself tied up, and while attempting to break free he discovered that his X-Loader is inside his shorts and managed to get it off and as it hit the floor, Tagiru grogilly fumbles the device and managed to free Sagomon and there he was untied, but because of his head injury, Tagiru couldn't get up and so Sagomon pressed the X-Loader and Gumdramon was summoned. There he ripped and used some of Tagiru's shirt as makeshift bandages to cover the wound on his head.

After that, Gumdramon and Sagomon formulate a plan to break out of the dungeon and escape the castle in order to get help. There Gumdramon uses the X-Loader to summon all of Tagiru's Digimons and after a quick strategy meeting, it was agreed that Harpymon will carry the injured Tagiru out of the castle and head for Shoutmon's castle for help while Gumdramon will lead the others to distract the Royal Chess Digimons. While Tagiru is initially against it, his injury prevented him from making a full rebuttal and soon Gumdramon piloted Giga-Breakmon and led the rest of the Digimons to cause a riot while Harpymon uses its speed to get Tagiru out of the castle.

At the lobby of the castle, Black King-Mon and Black Queen-Mon were rattled after hearing a commotion, and soon a Pawnmon arrived and alerted them of the revolt, while another Pawnmon came to inform the king and queen that Tagiru has escaped. This was bad news and the king couldn't afford to lose his hostage that would be used as a bargaining chip to get Shoutmon to surrender.

"Your majesty!"

"What is the ruckus about?!"

"Digimons infiltrated our castle!"

"Impossible!"

"Oh, great king...another Digimon is sighted...and has freed our human prisoner!"

"Damn it! Go after them and bring him back! The rest of you...deal with the revolt!"

"At once!"

"Yes, sir!"

The King then ordered his troops to be mobilized and sends them to intercept the attackers and to recapture Tagiru at once.

Hope you liked this chapter, and though not much action is shown, this serves as an opening for the next battle, as a fight is about to broke out inside the Chess Kingdom.
