Nene has been abducted...and the cult gave our heroes the demands in exchange for her freedom, and this is where Tagiru's "next adventure" comes in, only this time Yuu tags along as they head to another foreign country where they are due to meet someone in order to make some kind of bargain that will help facilitate Nene's release…
Ch. 24: Kazu to no Kaidan
The next morning, Yuu is waiting at his apartment unit where his Digimon partners are keeping him company seeing that their partner was worried sick since last night, where a brief event showed that he called Taiki and Tagiru and the latter two arrived and showed to them the news about the place where Nene was abducted as well as the letter, which Tagiru stared wide-eyed, as he deduced what the kidnappers want from him, and slowly told Taiki and Yuu about it, and there Yuu momentarily lost his composure and grabbed Tagiru by his collar, blaming him due to the fact that the items he sold at the auction were the items that the kidnappers demanded, yet Taiki intervened and calmed him down, which Yuu slowly apologized.
By then Tagiru told Taiki and Yuu that their only chance would be contacting the foreigner who hired him to get the two relics and asked him the identity of the European beauty who bought them, so that he can talk to her and ask if they could buy back the two items he sold, and Yuu agreed to it, yet he urged that he comes along as it was his "duty" to get his elder sister back, which Tagiru reluctantly agreed, but Taiki stated that he can't come with them due to "prior engagement".
"What?"
"You can't come, Taiki?"
"Yes...I have a prior engagement...but I think you two can handle it..."
"Are you sure?"
"But we..."
"I'm sure you two can do it...you have your Digimon partners with you..."
"I see..."
"Okay..."
By then, Tagiru activated his X-Loader to open the portal to the Digi-quartz and he and Yuu entered to head out, leaving Taiki behind as he wished his two friends to be careful and hoped that they succeeded in rescuing Nene safely from the kidnappers.

Several hours later, both Yuu and Tagiru arrived at Morocco via the Digi-quartz, and there they waited at a park for an hour before the foreigner whom Tagiru made a business deal with before arrived and is baffled as to why would the teen wanted to know the identity of the European beauty who bought the sold items at the auction a few days ago, though Tagiru managed to come up with an alibi and was able to convince him to provide the name of the woman, which the foreigner did, and after that he left, leaving the two teens alone, and there the two discussed on their next move.
"May Bannon, huh?"
"Yeah...that's the lady I saw at the auction..."
"And that is where we should go...?"
"I think so...huh? Yuu, look at this...at the I-pad..."
"That's the address...huh?"
"What, Yuu?"
"Count Bannon..."
"Who?"
The woman in question is then revealed to be May Bannon, and she lives at a posh mansion owned by a rich man identified only as "Count Bannon", and there Yuu suggested that they head there and have a talk with him so as to let him know that they need to use the two items his daughter bought as "bait" in order to find and rescue Nene, and the two teens decided to board a taxi and head to the place following the map that the foreigner provided.

About 30 minutes later, the two teens arrived and are standing at the front gate of the posh mansion, in which Yuu searches for a doorbell while Tagiru held onto the gate, accidentally finding out that it was open and got in, with Yuu following and berated him for his action, fearing that they might get arrested for trespassing though Tagiru assured that it won't happen once they explained that the gate was left open and the owner will be embarrassed and he'll use this to persuade him to offer the two items.
"Are you crazy?"
"Maybe...but not a psychotic..."
"Be serious here!"
"Relax, Yuu..."
"We came here to meet with this guy and talk to him...not piss him off!"
"We will..."
"Then don't do reckless things...!"
"Hey, I'm not...whoa!"
However, their conversation was interrupted and the two teens were startled when a guard arrived and is holding leash where he is holding at least six doberman dogs who are barking and ready to attack, and Tagiru nearly panicked as Yuu urged his friend to stay still and stay calm, which a golf cart-like vehicle arrived and told the two teens that his master has sent him to fetch the two, and the two teens slowly boarded the vehicle as they are being led towards the mansion amid the barking of the dogs who wanted to go after the two boys.
Later a butler is escorting Yuu and Tagiru towards the main mansion, in which the two boys noted that the mansion as well as the entire place, is like a labyrinth due to several routes, and felt that they can easily get lost as this is their first time coming here. By then a Rottweiler barked and jumps, nearly catching a surprised Tagiru as the dog is chained against the wall, and the butler assured that it is okay.
"WHOA!"
"Do not worry..."
"Well, I am!"
"He is chained...he won't reach you..."
"Do all of your dogs have rabies?"
"They all have been vaccinated...you need not worry..."
"Is this place a mansion or a zoo? You got a lot of wild dogs here..."
"Thank you for the compliments..."
Yuu wondered if the owner here is a multi-millionaire given the place and a lot of animals and staff members they seen while coming here. He had a feeling that their trip here wouldn't be an easy one as he sensed that they might have a hard time convincing the owner of this mansion to lend them the two artifacts that he and Tagiru would use to secure Nene's release, and wondered how their would-be meeting would be like.
Soon they arrived at the living room, where Count Bannon is sitting on his sofa, and greeted the two teens and asked why did they came here and how they knew about him. Yuu then started off by showing him the ransom letter and asked about the Armour Of God and why anyone would do "crazy things" just to get their hands on it, in which the Count chuckled before telling them about what he knew.
"I see..."
"Yes...that's why we came here..."
"We were hoping that you sympathize with our plight..."
"Well..."
"Count Bannon, sir...could you tell us about this Armour of God?"
"Yeah...is it really that of a big thing that anyone would be willing to do such things just to get it?"
"Well...perhaps I can tell you what the rumors suggested..."
"Okay..."
The Count then told Tagiru and Yuu about the legend of the Armour Of God in which legend says that the phrase "Armor of God" is derived from Ephesians 6:11: "Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes" (New International Version). As a Biblical reference, the metaphor may refer to physical armor worn by God in metaphorical battles, or it may refer to vigilant righteousness in general as bestowed by the grace of God (Romans 13:12, New International Version): "The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light."
The Count then mentions that the said armor was split into five pieces: the shield, sword, helmet, breastplate, and the legs and boots. He said according to legend, in order to keep the armor from "evil hands", the then-generation of that era split the pieces and placed them all over Europe in order to safe-keep it permanently, and the legend, as well as rumor that whoever has the complete set would gain power over everything, persists up to this day.
After reading the ransom letter, the Count told Yuu that he is not convinced, yet he generously offered the two teens to spend the night here which Tagiru eagerly accepted, though Yuu was mentally upset as he will have to come up with another way to rescue Nene, and decided to spend the night here while thinking of a way to convince the Count that he really needed the pieces to save Nene without compromising her well-being.

In one of the guest rooms, Yuu, Tagiru, Damemon and Gumdramon are discussing about what to do next after being unable to convince the Count to allow them to take back the two Armour pieces, in which Tagiru is considering doing something to offer the Count a lot of money, though Damemon stated that it is better if the Count would see that an innocent life is worth saving than clutching on a rare item, which Yuu agreed, but then they all decided to get some rest and rethink about their options.
"Let's get some rest so we can think clearly in the morning..."
"Yeah...then we can come up with another way to convince that Count..."
"Okay...Daemmon...Gumdramon...get some rest too..."
"Okay..."
"Good night..."
"Gumdramon...don't do anything crazy..."
"I won't...good..."
"Goodnight..."

The next morning, Yuu and Tagiru were summoned by Count Bannon's butler and led them to a "treasure room", in which the two teens were surprised to see Count Bannon sitting on a seat while several doberman dogs are stationed, before Tagiru gawked upon seeing Gumdramon holding one of the Armour pieces - a sword, in which the Count stated that Gumdramon attempted to steal it, and Yuu sighed as they are now in a bigger heap of trouble as they now have to deal with this current predicament in addition to convincing the Count to lend them the Armour pieces in order to rescue Nene.
