And I can't forget about all the lovely anons/guests who reviewed my story. I appreciate each and everyone of y'all. You know, going into high school, I truly believed I didn't have a talent and even as I started my first story, I was almost 100% sure that no one would ever read my sappy stories. But, lo and behold, guys like you make me believe that I can actually do something right: write cheesy and corny Boondocks fanfiction. lol

Seriously though, thanks. I love you guys.

Alright, enough of that. I say goodbye to my "second" chaptered story, and with my final author's note for this story, I leave with this: SHAMELESS PROMOTION OF MEEEEEEEE!

Go read Pursuit of Happiness, go read Redemption, and make sure you read another story that I'll come out with soon, probably after I update POS and Redemp. and Read&Review!

Oh! and also, because long ago, I had an idea on how I was gonna end the story, scrapped, rewrote it, contemplated deleting this motherfucker, then cried a little bit. After reading the reviews because I needed a boost, BugsBunny10 had a really almost idea and I pretty much stole it and used it lol. But it's not plagiarism if I give you credit for it!

Alright, I'm done now.

Chapter Twelve: The End

Every time he saw her, he knew he was lucky.

Huey…?

He watched Kioni and Brielle run around in the backyard, playing whatever game they both just made up. From what he could tell, it involved freeze tag, make believe, and Powerpuff Girls. Jazmine and Cindy were determined to show their children the old show.

Are you sure?

It had been about five years and nine months since she first told him. He had only been a lawyer for a year and she barely got out of med school and into a residency. She cried for almost an hour. She was terrified.

What are we gonna do?

And he was too. He didn't know what to do or what to expect. He didn't know how to react or what to say. His whole body shivered when the words escaped her mouth. Time stood still as they sat together in his tiny apartment bathroom. As she continued to cry, he just held her. Held her as tight as he could.

I don't really know.

He would've been more accepting if it wasn't for his past. It was always his fucking past. It was the reason he became the man that he was today. Or at least the person he was four years ago. Jazmine changed all that. But still, there was a part of him that was weary.

I mean, if we aren't ready… there's always…

But that his kid. His kid. His very own flesh and blood. He helped he make her or him. He was scared as hell, and he didn't really know how they were going to do it, but… he wanted his first kid. He wanted to have his first child with Jazmine.

I want to have it. With you.

"Yo, what they doing now?" Riley questioned as he sat back down in the seat to his brother. Huey shrugged in response. "Man, I don't understand them. Like, they don't play the games we did when we was growing up."

"That's because our idea of fun was playing Prisoner, shooting each other with BB guns, and getting into fights."

"Yeah, well…" Riley stopped to think. "That shit was fun, though. It made who we are today, Huey," he reminded him. "You think if all that stuff didn't happen to us as kids we'd be here today? In a nice ass part of the Baltimore suburbs with sexy ass wives and beautiful ass kids?"

He did have a point…

"Man we ended up lucky. It coulda been so much worse." Huey focused back on his daughter and his niece. Now they were sitting in the grass doing something completely different from two minutes ago. "Okay, now I forreal don't understand them. Are they still playing the same game?"

Caesar finally showed up with Deandre in tow. Deandre darted towards the girls, joining them in their game. Caesar sat on the other side of Huey. "What's up guys?"

"We were just talking about how we don't understand our kids," Riley explained.

Caesar scoffed. "What are you talking about? I understand Deandre fine."

"Yeah, but you got a son," Riley reminded. "You know how boys grow up and whatever. Girls though? Whole different story."

Both boys looked at Huey. He shrugged. "I mean, I still have to choose how to explain things to Kioni, but as far as understanding her… I can't relate her but I still understand her… somewhat."

Both Caesar and Riley were satisfied with this answer. All three turned back to the kids, who were now playing a simple game of Tag this time.

"Yo Ceez, yo baby mama came today?"

Caesar rolled his eyes. "Okay, just because me and Tia aren't married, doesn't mean she's just a baby mama. She is my girlfriend, you know."

"My bad. Is your baby mama/girlfriend here?"

Caesar scowled at him.

The kids suddenly appeared in front of the fathers. Huey raised an eyebrow at them. "Daddy," Kioni started. "Can we go play upstairs in the game room?"

"It isn't my house, Kioni."

Brielle then turned towards Riley, putting on her infamous puppy dog face. "Daddy…" she inquired in a sing-songy voice. "Can we please go play inside? It's hot out here."

Riley waved his hand. "Yeah, I guess," he caved as the men stood up. The children smiled and ran inside the house. "Don't break nothing!"

"Didn't Cindy say they had to stay outside?" Caesar questioned as he followed the brothers into the air conditioned house. Riley waved his hand again. "Alright, but I ain't going down with you."

And as if on cue…

"Riley!"

He scratched his head as he walked into the kitchen, where all the mothers had congregated to cook dinner. Cindy sat on a bar stool in front of the island that smack dab in the middle of their massive kitchen. She fed RJ another spoonful of applesauce.

"Why did I just see a group of five-year-olds run up the stairs?"

Huey and Caesar stepped back from the youngest Freeman. Cindy's eyes practically burned a hole into Riley. He smacked his lips. "C'mon Cin, it's hot as hell outside and I didn't want none of them passing out on me."

She rolled her eyes and continued to feed her son.

Huey looked at Jazmine and moved towards her. She saw him out of the corner of her eye and smiled. He stood behind her as he stole a cherry tomato from her cutting board. She lightly slapped his hand. "Not for you," she scolded.

"So?" he answered, stealing another and popping it into his mouth.

"I won't hesitate to cut off your fingers," she warned when he leaned in to take away from her. Huey's hand went from on the counter to behind his back within seconds. She looked up from her board. "Tia can you stir the sauce for a couple of minutes? Then turn the fire off and take the bread out of the oven."

"Yo, Jazzy in here like a chef, making this kitchen smell good," Riley complimented.

Tia nodded. "Yeah, girl. I want the recipe to this."

"Like you'd ever cook it," Caesar said lowly. Caesar and Riley both started to snicker. Tia shot them both a look.

"Babe, I'm kidding!" Caesar joked as he kissed her neck. "You do cook!" She gave him a shady face and rolled her eyes. "Tia, you know I'm kidding, right?"

Tia was about to respond when all three of the kids immediately ran down the stairs and into the kitchen, chasing each other with Nerf guns before running towards the living room.

"Brielle Teagan Freeman!"

"Kioni Victoria Freeman!"

"Deandre Mathieu Caesar!"

Each stopped dead in their tracks. They, like each of the boys and everyone one else in the world, knew that if your mother said your entire name, you were definitely in a lot of trouble. Cindy, Jazmine, and Tia stood in front of their respective child.

"You must be out your damn mind!"

"How many times have I told you specifically not to run in the house?"

"And this isn't even your house, Deandre!"

"That is very disrespectful to Uncle Riley's property," Jazmine finished. "And I think you each owe him an apology."

The boys stood in awe of what just happened. Although each mother was talking to their own kid, the way they flowed together made it look as if they were scolding all of the children at once. On one end, it was amazing to witness. On the other, they've just realized these girls were unstoppable.

"Sorry," they all meekly apologized.

"It's cool," Riley responded, still watching his wife.

As the kids were dismissed, Caesar let out a low whistle. "See? This is why y'all the disciplinarians in the house. Y'all are intimidating."

"Why?" Cindy asked as she picked up RJ. "We're just being moms."

And that was the weird part. Huey has known Jazmine and Cindy since they all were ten. He grew up with them. Now almost two decades later, Jazmine was his wife and the mother of his child. Cindy, his sister-in-law, gave him a niece and a nephew. For him, it was almost surreal.

He sat down at the dinner table with his family. His entire family. This is the group that he's known longer than not. This is the group that he grew up with, and that Kioni will grow up with. Whether or not they were related was a technicality. They were still family.

"Huey, what are you staring at?" Jazmine blinked at him. He shrugged in response as he passed the salad. She giggled as she grabbed the bowl. "You're so weird sometimes."

"Sometimes? I think you mean all the time," Riley commented.

"You know, I don't think there's a time where he isn't acting weird," Caesar added.

"Shut up," Huey responded.

His family could be a little bit annoying sometimes.

After dinner, the kids and mothers gathered in the living room, most likely to watch the movie. Huey, Riley, and Caesar had retreated to the backyard, where the sun had gone down for the day and the air was fifteen degrees cooler. They had gone outside for privacy, something they wouldn't get in the living room. Huey took this time to show Riley and Caesar the articles upon articles about Tom Dubois and his scandal.

"Damn," Caesar exhaled as he continued to read the article about his friend's father-in-law. "And this nigga still wants to run for office?"

"Did Jazzy know?" Riley questioned.

Huey nodded. In fact, when her mother called to tell Jazmine the news about the story breaking to the public, she was happy. She was happy that "karma was coming back to bite him in the ass." Her father's downfall was basically her closure.

"She hadn't talked to Tom in over two years, but people are still calling her for interviews," Huey explained. "Anyways, she's going to go back home and talk with her parents about it or whatever."

"Yo, that's crazy man." Riley shook his head. "Tom was the last nigga I thought would cheat on his wife. And with a thot, no less. Sarah dumb as hell for staying with him."

"Dysfunctional," Caesar added.

Tia appeared at the door. "Hey. Deandre and them just fell asleep. You want to go?" Tia asked. She turned towards Huey. "And Jazmine told me to tell you she's ready to go."

Caesar snickered. "Ha, you don't even get a choice." All through the boys stood up, giving dap to each other before they all left. "I'll catch you guys tomorrow."

"Nah," Riley reassured. "Deandre will be alright over here. Enjoy your day tomorrow. Just know you owe me and Cindy."

Huey and Caesar rolled their eyes on cue. Of course Riley would never do anything for free; everything was a favor. When they entered the living room again, Brielle and Deandre were both dead asleep on the palate of pillows and comforters, while Kioni waited for her father. She rubbed her eyes as he approached her.

"Are you and Mommy leaving?" She inquired groggily.

He nodded before picking her up. "Be good for Auntie Cindy and Uncle Riley." He planted a kiss on her cheek and sat her back down. It seemed that Kioni was waiting on Huey, because right after that she fell asleep. "You ready?" Huey directed to Jazmine.

She nodded and stood up from the couch. She gave her final goodbyes as she walked out the front door. Huey noticed that she was quieter than usual; which was saying a lot for Jazmine. She was distracted at picking her nails. So much so that she didn't even notice that he took an unexpected left. It was until the car slowed down that she found herself in a rather unfamiliar place.

"Where are we?"

"You're thinking about your dad aren't you?" Huey interrupted. She rolled her eyes in response. "Jazmine, look at the window and see where you are."

She looked out the window and smiled a little. "It's the Hill."

"Do you want to go sit out there for a few minutes?"

Jazmine smiled and nodded. Huey let her get a head start up the hill as he turned off the car and locked it. He smirked to himself when he watched her act like her ten-year-old self at the top of the hill, running around and laughing to herself.

"Okay, I officially feel better," she announced with a smile on her face. She snaked her arms around Huey's neck. "You know me too well." She gave him a soft kiss on the lips. "Why do we always come up here whenever something happens?"

"Because this is ours."

The hill was a calm peaceful place. And because of the pack they made what seems like a forever ago, they were the only ones in the group knew about this place. This was the only place where they could escape reality, people, everything. They hadn't been up here in a while, mainly because they never needed to. Though now seemed like a good time to come back.

Jazmine buried her head into Huey's shoulder. "I don't want to see them tomorrow," she finally admitted. "I mean, I spent two years avoiding them for a reason."

"You'll be fine. Just hear what they have to say, then you say what you have to say, and then you can leave." She groaned and pouted slightly. "Jazmine, you can't avoid them forever."

She rolled her eyes. "Fine. But you owe me."

Huey raised an eyebrow at her. "How do I owe you for going to see your own parents?"

She shrugged as she made her way back down the hill. "I don't know, but I think I should be awarded for going back into that hell hole." She smiled and bit her lip when she turned back to face. "And I already know what I want."

"Yeah?" Huey questioned as he jumped into the driver's seat. One twist of the key and the car roared to life. "And what could you possibly want, Mrs. Freeman?"

"I want another baby."

Huey tensed up in his seat. He gripped the steering wheel hard until the whites of his knuckles were showing. He had to admit that he wasn't expecting that. "Um…" was the first thing he thought of. "Why?" was the second thing.

"Because!" Jazmine whined. "Kioni is getting older and she's gonna be starting kindergarten soon…" she trailed off. She saw Huey out of the corner of her eye, still tense. "Plus didn't you see RJ? Isn't he just so adorable? Then I thought about it, and then I thought about it again, and thought about it one more time, and I realized that I want another baby."

"When did you come up with this decision, Jazmine?" Huey questioned warily. She shrugged softly. "Well, you put so much thought into it without discussing it with me first so—"

"I'm discussing it with you now!" she responded. "Don't you want Kioni to have a little brother or sister to play with? I was an only child and I was by myself most of the time. I dreamed of a little brother and sister."

"We barely got into a place where we're comfortable, and added another baby in the mix will just… I don't know, make things difficult." He tried to choose his words carefully. Saying the wrong thing could turn into an argument. He stopped the car in front of the house. "We should just wait. Just for a couple more months."

She cleared her throat and exited the car, slamming the door on her way out. Huey sighed and followed her out. He quickly walked behind her into his their house.

Everything looked so different. Every room had to be repainted, all the furniture had to go, and even the pictures on the wall weren't the same. This had to happen because one day, before they were scheduled to move in, Huey almost had a panic attack when all the memories flooded to him at once. Even though everything was different, but in the back of his mind he knew.

"Jazmine!" She had gone straight up to their room as soon as she entered the house. He sighed hard. There was no way he could be in the wrong this many times. He barely learned how to take care Kioni; how would she think he'd react with two kids at once?

He walks up the stairs and into his room. He sat down on the edge of his bed as he watched her brush her teeth in the bathroom. She was teasing him. Her curls spiraled all over her shoulders, and she was wearing one of his old high school T-shirts. She was definitely teasing him. He pulled her towards him before she walked to her side of the bed.

She rolled her eyes at him. "What?" she huffed.

He ran his fingers through her hair, causing her to lick her lips and slightly bite the bottom one. It was crazy how one looks at still send him in a frenzy. "You want a baby? I'll give you another one, I promise. I'll give you as many as you want. But right now isn't a good time. At least wait until the thing with your parents dies down."

"What if it never dies down?" Jazmine questioned.

Huey continued to run his fingers through her hair. "It will," he absentmindedly replied. He pulled his hand away from her curls the school back onto the bed. He sat his hand on her thighs until he slid them up under her shirt onto her hips. Jazmine put her hands over his.

"I know what the problem is," she announced. He raised an eyebrow to her. "You are scared to open up your feelings… again. You're scared because now it won't be just two people who you love more than life itself. It'll be three." She smiled at her revelation of him.

"That doesn't make sense."

Jazmine sighed. "Of course it does!" She ran her fingers across the slight stubble that was forming on Huey's face. "I know you want a little boy. I know you do. I see the way you look at Deandre and Caesar. And you want that. But, I don't know, I think you have some daddy issues still that keeps you from being happy or whatever."

Huey tongued the inside of his cheek.

She continued to focus on his chin. "But I believe in you Huey. I believe that when you look in Kioni's eyes, those bright childlike maroon eyes, you don't ever want to leave her. And I believe that it when you look into the Mathieu's eyes, you'll feel the same way."

"Mathieu?"

"Yeah, that's what we're going to name our future son. That is not gonna be spelled like regular; it's gonna be spelled M-A-T-H-I-E-U. It's the last name of a football player, and I love it," Jazmine smiled widely. He secretly loved how excited she got when she was passionate about something. "Isn't it adorable?"

He rested his forehead on hers. "Whatever you want." He let his lips brush lightly against hers, but he needed more. They connected once again, and Huey was craving her touch. His hands moved from her hips to her lower back. He pulled her closer to him.

She succeeded at pulling off his shirt and throwing it somewhere in the corner of the room. She wrapped her arms around his neck and positioned herself.

"Why do you like wearing my shirts so much?" He finally asked.

"It turns me on what I can smell your scent linger on me," she said, biting her pump bottom lip.

He said already knew that; he knew what she liked the most, just the way she knew what he liked. The way she bites her lip, the way she straddles him, the way she gasps and moans his name. She was mesmerizing, and a turn on just by herself. He couldn't help himself thinking about the next time they were going to be alone when she was near him.

She kissed him softly on the lips to get his attention. His eyes met hers and he saw her in laws were dripping with lust; he could tell she was aching to continue on. Huey kissed and sucked on her neck and collarbone as Jazmine tilted her head back to give more access. She already started grinding into him.

She moaned his name into the ceiling, letting the sound reverberate throughout the room. Her hands gripped the back of his neck. She looked down at him and kissed him as he looked up at her. Her fingers trail down to his waistband. She sucked on his neck while she unbuttoned his pants. Huey was too busy focusing on anything but Jazmine to notice that his pants and boxers miraculously made their way onto the floor.

He put his fingers between her thighs, pushing the damp fabric out of the way of his true destination. She whimpered when his two digits entered her. He stroked softly but deeply, teasing her, just the way she likes it. He wasn't trying to be the fastest. She was his wife and she deserved the best.

"Huey… please," she begged. Her sparkling emerald eyes were watery and that's how he knew she really wanted it. "I need you. Please. Give it to me right now."

His fingers slipped out of her. He stuck them into his mouth to suck off the remnants. She exhaled heavily when she saw him. As she sat on top of him, he lowly growled. Nothing felt as good as her. Her manicured nails gripped him just a little bit tighter.

His breath was short and hasty as she rode him. He let her move at her own pace. He never wanted to rush her or anything. He let her control him. "Damn," he groaned. His eyes never left her. He loved the way she looked as she moved, arching her back and whimpering ever so slightly. He smirked to himself. Out of nowhere, he slapped her ass.

"Ah!" she squeaked out. He leaned in closer to her, and went back to her neck. His hand went under one of her thighs as she continued to move. "Huey…" She panted while she closed her eyes, enjoying her pleasure.

"Faster," he huffed into her neck. While he never wanted to speed up her pace, he was on par to finish before her, and that could never, ever happen. His hand made its way back under her shirt up to one of her breast. She moaned loudly at his touch. "You're doing good, baby."

She tightened up around him. Her legs twitched in anticipation. Her chest rose and fell haphazardly. She was close, he could tell. He groaned again before Jazmine locked lips with him. While he wasn't expecting it, he leaned into her anyways. She bit her lip when he looked at her. She knew he was about to say it; it worked every time.

"Come for me, Jazmine."

She pursed her lips and let loose, falling onto him. Her muffled moans and grunts went into his shoulder. As if on cue, seconds later, he was next. He gripped her thigh tighter as he emptied himself into her. She rested her forehead in the crease of his neck.

It was a moment of silence. Actually, more like a few moments of silence. They were both catching their breath and enjoying each other's presence. Who said sex got worse after you got married? If anything, their sex actually got better.

"Mathieu?" he repeated.

She finally lifted her head to look at him. "Yeah," she panted. "Unless you want to change it…" He shook his head in response. "I love you, Huey Freeman."

At first, it took him a while to say it. It felt like poison to his lips. Now, it was almost as fluent as his name. Fitting, no one else deserved those three words more than she did. All the work she put into him and their life was her prize. And he loved his life. She did too. And they loved their life together.

"I love you, Jazmine Freeman."
