Hey guys, how's things I'm sorry I haven't updated in a while but I have a terrible memory and I was waiting for more people to do the poll I decided to go with an awkward conversation. I will try and get 1 or 2 more chapters out by September but no promises so anyway let's get going. As always R&R…seriously it helps. Also sorry for any geographical errors.

Percy

As I stood next to the wall the projector was pointing at everyone else, having fully arrived, sat down on the sofa and in the extra chairs placed out. "So now that everyone has finally arrived we can show the POA" I said.

"The what?" Frank asked.

"Holy Zeus, you're the son of Mars and you don't know military abbreviations"

"Dude, remember I wanted to be a son of Apollo"

"Still you should know POA stands for plan of action, I mean, I bet everyone else knows what it means" I say gesturing at the others. They all shake their head apart from Annabeth who nods. "Of course you don't" I say with a sigh, "At any rate on with the POA…"

"Percy for the sake of the rest us just say plan of action" Thalia chips in.

"Fine, the plan of action" I say with a glare "is to intercept their route on the way to the American Sacrificial Alter. As always their route will take them through areas with death in the name just for clichédness, which means this year it is the Death Valley in Nevada" I say as an image of google maps comes up on the screen, "You see our objective is 2 fold. One is that we are rescuing Leo & Jason. Our second object is that we need to find the reason why The Doors of Death are staying open. I have done research and I have found out where Athena spends some of her time and it is located near here in Pahrump NV."

"WAIT WHAT" Annabeth says standing quickly, "We are going to visit my Mother for information. I mean I know she is the Goddess of Wisdom but seriously this is a bad idea. Gods don't do stuff for free we will have do something for her and it won't be easy. Why are we even stopping the event anyway I mean all we have to do is get Leo and Jason and we are done"

"Because I know I'm not the only one who hates having to watch our fellow brethren half-Bloods die needlessly every year so we are aiming to stop it and save thousands of lives in the process for future generations" I say absolutely mad. How dare Annabeth be so selfish, just because she does not want to visit her Mother! Calming down, I look her straight in the eye and say "Look if you don't want in there is the door, walk out it and never come back because whether or not you to see your Mother is not our concern what is however is saving all those demi-gods" Me and Annabeth stared at each other for a few minutes. She looks down ashamedly and sits down.

"Well now that the shit has hit the fan, what's the plan to get Leo and Jason back" Piper says staring at me.

Looking rather sheepish I say "Well that's why Annabeth is here" giggles came from Nico and Thalia as they tried to hold back laughter.

Annabeth looking up wondered up to the projector she took out a marker and said "Listen up here is the plan…"

Couples of hours later

Once Nico, Thalia, Hazel and Piper had left Annabeth, Frank and I sat down at the Island counter in our apartment and I made us all of us some coffee. As the kettle boiled I asked "So Annabeth where you staying?"

Annabeth puts her arms out on the counter her hands covered by her arms and says "Well I'm not quite sure how but your mother caught wind of me staying nearby for a few days and invited me to stay we are still good friends"

"Mrs. Jackson is lovely isn't she" Frank says as I hand his coffee to him, which has 3 teaspoons of coffee and 4 sugars. Maybe this is how he is so strong getting hyper before gym I think, Frank continues on "She always is popping round with those delicious blue brownies"

"Which you eat before I can get one" I say as I hand Annabeth her her coffee and as she reached for it I noticed a glint on her ring finger "Hey Annabeth what's that on your finger" I say pointing to the particularly expensive looking ring on her finger.

"Oh this well you see me and Connor were out on the best date of my life…" She says and an idea dawns on me. No it can't be.

"… and I could see he was fiddling with something in his hands…."

No No No

".. And when I asked what he was fiddling with he got down on one knee…"

Nonononononononononononononononononononononononono

"…and now I am engaged"

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

She is looking at me with a nervous smile and I try my best to look happy for her but inside all I felt was emptiness. Cold, dark, heart-wrenching sadness. I don't remember anything of the rest of the evening apart from that heart-wrenching emptiness.

Annabeth

As I left Percy's apartment and walked out of the apartment building I dropped my smile. I felt shit seeing Percy like that. He never could fool me about his emotions I could always look in his eyes and tell what was going on in his mind and instead of the usual friendly look in them I only saw emptiness. I never thought telling someone of the happiest moment of my life could make feel so shit. There was no mistaking what did that to him. Me. I turned my thoughts to the past on the way to Mrs. Jackson's trying to find out what made me go for Connor and not Percy.
