A/N: Alrighty update part 2! I feel really bad that I haven't updated in so long! So last chapter was kinda filler but I'm thinking you guys will like some Tobias/Emily Jo… If you come up with a good ship name, I'll dm you for your advice about how the story should end! J
About half an hour into the movie, I started to fall asleep. I was lying on the couch while the others were spread around the room. Daire was upside down on an armchair, Cato sat beside her on the ground and Tobias was lying across a coffee table we had pushed out of the way. He wasn't watching the movie though. He was watching me. I had locked eyes with him once but I started getting lost and craving physical contact so I looked back at the screen and hadn't looked away since.
As I fell asleep though, it was as if a magnet pulling my eyes to him. I was too tired to fight against it. Tobias was still watching me. He didn't look bored, his eyes were sparkling with interest.
Probably just my imagination…
His also held a challenge for me to look away first. I just smirked.
Always so competitive.
After a few minutes, Tobias got up and walked over to me, our eyes staying together. When he began to crawl over me to lie down though, I closed my eyes. I felt his body behind me and his arm went over my waist, entwining our fingers.
"You know," Tobias whispered in my ear, "you shouldn't stare. People could get offended."
I scoffed and turned just enough to see him, grinning.
"I was actually watching the movie, so I don't know what you're talking about."
"I think it's cute, don't worry." Tobias leaned forward and I began to pull my head away but I couldn't get that far. Tobias released my hand and put it on my cheek.
"Sweetheart, I haven't been able to kiss you in months. Please don't try and run when I just get you back."
I didn't know what to say to that and I didn't have time to answer since Tobias was kissing me. Not that I was complaining. With his help, I turned my body around to face him.
"You sir, don't understand safety." I said, poking him in the nose.
"I understand safety. I keep you safe." Tobias kissed me on the nose.
"Then we shouldn't be kissing where they could possibly see us." I tried to pull back but Tobias had both arms locked around my waist.
"Fine but only because I don't want you to be hurt because of me. I'd kill myself before-" I cut him off by kissing him, even though I had just spoken against it. I brought my head back, but not too far. Just close enough that his breath still washed over my lips.
"Don't. Don't make promises like that," I tugged on his hair, "I couldn't bear to lose you. That would kill me." Tobias's eyes lost their shine and his face went serious.
"You think losing me would be hard. Do you not remember how you found me?"
When I had met Tobias he was doing a partial Change in the woods. I knew I was part werewolf and I'd been taught different strategies to keep calm. I tried to tell him, but he refused.
"I like to feel the pain."
After he had done as much as his body would allow and he had all of his clothes back on, we talked. We talked about everything. He told me about his human parents that hated Supernaturals. About his attempts of deadly alcohol poisoning and over-dosing. About his parents knowing but not caring enough to get their son help. I listened the entire time, asking the occasional question. I never judged him once. When he finished, I hugged him. I had known this guy for maybe an hour and yet, I'd felt we'd known each other for years.
After a moment of shock, he hugged me back.
His hugs are amazing
Then I remembered something. I let go of him and took a step back.
"What's your name?" I asked. Tobias looked surprised then we started laughing.
"Tobias Abernathy. You?" He replied when out laughter ceased.
"Emily Jo Souza. What school do you go to?"
Over the next few hours we learned even more about each other, but the lighter parts of us. It didn't take long (literally about 5 minutes) to realized I had a intense liking of him,
He's two years older. That wouldn't be okay with anyone, especially dad. Well damn….
"Wait Souza? Do you have a brother named Cody?" I nodded, "I hang around with him at school. I didn't know he had a sister."
Oh fabulous, I'm just the friend's kid sister now.
"You're better looking than him." Instantly his face went red.
"Well you're the best looking friend that Cody has ever had." I blurted out. I'd never admitted anything that I considered a personal secret so bluntly before. Tobias smiled and so did I.
I came out of my flashback when Tobias brushed his hand against my face.
"If I lost you forever, I would go back to that place until I killed myself."
Over our year long relationship, we both had made promises similar to that. A lot of people thought we were over reacting about our dedication to each other. I would've thought so too if I wasn't in the relationship. For some reason, I was able to tell all of my emotions and thoughts to Tobias. I felt a strong bong to him than with anyone else.
"I'm the same. You know that." Tobias and I kissed again really quickly.
"Are you two together again or something'?" A voice said behind us. Tobias sat us up and I saw Cato looking totally confused and Daire, now sitting upright giggling to herself.
"You know Em, the whole house will know soon if you two keep that up."
"So wait, you guys are together?" Cato asked again.
"No, I'm teaching him mouth to mouth." I said, leaning my head against Tobias's shoulder. Instantly his arm went around my shoulders.
"Finally!" Cato yelled. Daire hit the back of his head.
"Shut up. Do you think they want the medical freaks knowing?" Daire scolded him. Cato just made an 'O' with his mouth.
"Let's just watch the movie," Tobias said, shifting to make himself more comfortable.
"Why did you choose this movie?" Cato complained, looking at Daire. Daire and I exchanged a look.
"Channing Tatum." We both answered at the same time. While us girls laughed the boys stayed quiet.
"You two need some serious medical assistance," Cato mumbled, shaking his head.
That's when we all started laughing.
