A/N: HELLO EVERYONE! As some of you lovely people may have noticed, I changed the cover for Here We Go Again! I was thinking we needed something fresh to look at lol... So here is chapter 14 and remember, I love all of you! I sadly don't own Darkest Powers (boooo) but Kelley wrote an amazing trilogy!

Derek's POV

It had been almost two freaking weeks since my daughter went missing. 2 WEEKS!

"Derek?" I stopped pacing and looked at my brother, "Dad is here. He brought a friend, someone to help." I left my office and pushed past Simon, but he grabbed my shoulder.

"Hey man, we'll fine her. I swear." I just grunted and Simon let go. I found Dad in the library with some guy. Instantly I could smell that he wasn't Supernatural, meaning he was some scientist that Dad knew. Chloe was there too, speaking in low voices with them. She was the only one facing me.

She saw me, and walked towards me, making the men turn. Instinctively, I wrapped my arm around her waist, pushing her slightly behind me. I'd gotten better over the 20 years we'd been together, but I was still over protective. Chloe and my kids had finally made me realize that.

At least you stopped yelling at her when she'd get up in the middle of the night to pee without telling you.

"Hey Dad," I bluntly said, Chloe adjusting herself so she wasn't hidden behind me.

"Hi Derek. This is Mason Carson, he use to work for the Edison Group."
Since Chloe didn't flinch or stiffen, I figured she knew that already. Mason walked over and we shook hands.

"I'm sorry to hear about your daughter. I have heard great things about her from your father." I just nodded my head.

"I'm sorry about him, Mason. Even after 20 years of us being together, he still gets anxious when I'm around new people." Chloe tapped her hand on my chest.

"It's alright. Definitely natural in a situation like this and especially because employers who did it," Mason said.

"Here everyone sit, please," Chloe suggested, "mason can you tell us what you know." We all took seats. Chloe and I on one couch, Dad in an armchair, and Mason on another couch.

As if they sensed it, Simon, Tori, my niece Elizabeth, and my other two kids Cody and Prim came in. Tori and Simon sat with Mason, Elizabeth sat at her father's feet, Prim sat beside my wife and my eldest, Cody stood at the door.

Chloe looked to the floor in front of us.

"Liz is here," Chloe looked at Mason, "She's an old friend. Edison Group killed her."

Mason nodded, "my apologies.

Prim brightly smiled, "mummy! I can see her!"

"That's great sweetheart." Chloe replied but gave me a weary look.

Chloe got her powers as a necromancer when she was 15, four years older than Prim. We hoped that would be her only power and not get the werewolf gene too, like Emily Jo did.

Speaking of my middle child…

"How are you suppose to help us find our daughter?" I asked. Before Mason could answer, Tori spoke.

"Don't expect politeness from him, he's never been able to learn it. Thank god, he married Chloe or Cody and Emily Jo would be just like him."

"Tori, they already are exactly like Derek, especially E.J." Simon replied. If the kids hadn't been in the room, I would've flipped them off and Tori knew it, Simon was oblivious as usual.

"Oh it's fine. My step-son is a werewolf. Anyway I know exactly where your daughter and her friends are. The only issue you should have is getting them out without Davidoff putting a bullet through one of their heads, especially Emily Jo. She's their main target."

"I'm sorry but did you say Davidoff?" Simon asked, shock on his face. I could feel Chloe shaking, so I rubbed my hand down her arm.

"Yes, Michael Davidoff Junior. His uncle ran Edison Group in Buffalo." Mason seemed confused, meaning he didn't know we were the members of Genesis Project in Buffalo. Simon just nodded.

"How do you know where they are?" Cody's voice rang through the room. I saw him glaring suspiciously at Mason. I knew why he was looking like that. My son and I shared our protectiveness and suspicion of new people.

"God he looks like Derek like that." Simon said under his breath. Cody and I were the only ones who heard him.

"My wife and her daughter work for the Edison Group still," before we could ask, he explained, "we help families that have had their children taken for experiments. The Group hasn't figured us out yet. I work on the outside though."

Help families that have had their children taken for experiments? Where were people like that when we got taken? When Chloe got taken?

I glanced around the room. My siblings and wife were watching me for a reaction to have and my dad watched me for an outburst.

I see nothing has changed since the last time we had this issue.

"So how are the kids being kept?" Chloe asked when she realized I wasn't going to say anything.

"In a house with doctors, security-"

"Security?" Simon interrupted, "damn Edison Group got smart."

"Yeah, they've had security for about 15 years since the participants of the Genesis Project escaped." I could see Tori was about to open her mouth and say something about us being those test subjects but Chloe beat her to it.

"Are they under 24 hour surveillance? Who are the doctors?"

"It is 24 hour but there aren't cameras in the bedrooms or on the second floor. The doctors are Ellen Smith, Davidoff as I said earlier and they're bringing in one final doctor before they decide if they're going to move the kids to a lab or not."

"Do you know who the doctor is, Mason?" Dad asked, looking hopeful.

"Yeah I do actually," Mason said the name and the room went silent.

Oh shit…
