A/N: I know I already posted chapter 15 and 16 but I had no clue that my computer posted them like that! I am so sorry! And sorry it took me so long to notice! Love you all! :*
There was 15 minutes left in the movie and once again, I was drifting off.
'Why did we choose this movie again?'
"Emily Jo" I looked around. The other three had their attention on the screen. None of them had called me.
"Emily Jo," a female voice said. I pulled myself up properly.
"Door."
I shifted my head and saw a teenage girl with her blonde hair dressed in a night gown stood at the door looking at me. She smiled at me and I smiled back.
"Who are you smiling at?" Tobias asked from where he sat under my feet. I glanced at him and back to the girl. She placed her finger over her mouth.
'They can't see- oh. She's a ghost.'
"Uh no one," I looked at him, "I'll be back. Bathroom." I got up without a response.
As I passed her, she whispered, "your parents sent me."
I just nodded and walked to the washroom. I didn't have to check to see if she was following. I could sense she was.
I'd known about being part necromncer for 2 years. My mum taught me everything she knew and I'd read every book my dad owned on the subject, which was a lot. My parents had been preparing me for the werewolf gene since I could walk. I don't think anyone expected me to be part necromancer other than my Papa Kit. Apparently I'd been seeing ghosts since the day I was born.
When I reached the washroom, I closed the door instantly. The girl just floated through the door. I leaned on the wall and the girl leapt onto the counter. She started swinging her feet, seemingly admirering her socks. I was quickly growing impatient.
"Did you call me in here to look at your socks?" I asked, folding my arms. The girl looked up, a surprised expression on her face as if she just remembered I was there.
"Dang girl, anyone ever tell you that you look like your dad?"
"I've heard it a few times. Who are you?" The girl laughed quickly.
"You act like him too."
"Heard that too." I kept my voice even.
"I'm Liz," the girl stuck out her hand, "ah nevermind."
I scoffed.
"I did that the first time I can remember meeting a ghost. Went right through them. I screamed about the invisable woman and ran home with kids calling me 'mental' and 'schizo'."
"Well your dad probably wanted to kick their as-butts." Liz looked shocked that she almost said a "swear word".
"Yeah. Anyway, I know who you are. I've seen you plenty of times. Why are you here?"
"Chloe figured I'd be the best way to let you know that your family will be coming to get the four of you in a day and a half. Don't pack, just wear a full outfit." Liz explained.
I was silent, thinking. My family. Dad, mum, Cody, Uncle Simon, Aunt Tori and Elizabeth. Possibly Aunt Renee (Uncle Simon's wife and Elizabeth's mum) too. Uncle Ryan, Aunt Tori's husband probably won't show up due to the fact he works for the parliment. Mum and Dad definitely won't let Prim near any of what's going to happen. Papa Kit might not come because of his health.
"Alright, I'll tell the others."
"No, Derek doesn't want you to. He thinks you guys will try and prepare a plan or something."
I rolled my eyes.
'Sounds like my father.'
"Okay. Anything else?" I asked.
"Your dad says expect the unexpected,"
I nodded, "Alright. Thanks Liz, I'll see you around I guess."
"Bye Emily Jo. Be safe."
Slowly, Liz disappeared from sight and I was alone in the bathroom.
I walked back into the living room. Daire kept watching the movie intensely, and Cato was drifting off quickly. As usual, Tobias was the only one to notice that I entered the room. I gave him a quick smile as I sat on the couch.
"You good?" Tobias asked. I just nodded.
"Tobias I knew you like love her or something, but you don't need to know how she pees." Cato mumbled.
"Shut up Cato. At least I can stay awake during a movie that my girlfriend chose." Tobias said, entwining his hand with mine.
"Would both of you just shut up? Honestly, I will blow both of you up if you don't let me watch this." Daire glared at the boys.
"So scared," Cato jokingly said. Before Tobias and I could warn him against it, he was levitating off the ground.
"You were saying?" Daire asked. Cato couldn't even answer he was so shocked.
"Exactly." Cato suddenly hit the ground and Tobias errupted with laughter.
"Daire you shouldn't do that, you might-" I started to warn her but I saw someone appear in the door beside me.
"Daire Logan1 Exactly what do you think you're doing?" Dr. Smith screeched. I winced.
"Shit.." Daire said under her breath.
"You are coming with me, young lady. You will speak with Dr. Davidoff about your outburst."
'Davidoff Junior... The whole family is freaking insane..'
"No, it's not Daire's fault. I jumped up and landed on my ass by myself," Cato stood up quickly, "no need to call Davidoff."
"Fine," Dr. Smith gave up the fight quickly, "but Michael- I mean Dr. Davidoff is already on his way. A new doctor is joining our team to assess you all. This doctor is human, like all of us but had worked easily with Supernaturals over the years."
"Okay who's the doctor?" Tobias questioned, reaching for my hand but I pulled it away.
"You'll find out in a little. So come to the kitchen and eat please."
After turning off the movie (which was at the credits anyway), we headed to the kitchen.
