I kept pounding on the door but it still wouldn't unlock. No one, not even Tobias had come to check on me.

'I need to get out of here and find out what the heck she's talking about..'

I slid down the door. What Lauren said had stuck in my head. I knew Uncle Simon and mum had tried dating when they were my age. That didn't work out because mum was already in love with dad and vise versa.

Speaking of my parents, today was the day they're suppose to come get us. If I can't get out of this room, I can't help them at all.

Tobias's POV

I was laying in my room when I heard Emily Jo scream my name. I didn't think, I leapt out of bed and opened my door. Racing down the stairs, I saw Em's aunt Lauren walking smuggly away from Emily Jo's room towards her own. My anger instantly rose.

"What did you do to her?" I asked harshly.

"Why do you assume it was me, you hairy freak?" I froze in my spot. Her voice sounded differently than normal, more dead. She had never spoken to me that way. I knew she had never liked me but she had never insulted what I am.

"It's your kind. Your kind ruined my family and everything we had! First my neice and now her daughter! I don't care if she says she loves you! It's all a lie." She hissed her words and stormed into her room.

I was completely confused by her outburst. I heard a thud against Emily Jo's door and I ran to it.

"Em?" I whispered, tugging on the handle.

"Tobias?" I could hear how upset she was.

"Yeah. Em, open the door. Please let me in." I tried to turn the handle but it didn't budge.

"I can't, it's locked. I've been trying." I could hear how tired she was too.

"I'm going to try and find someone to open this door. I'll be right back." She didn't respond.

Emily Jo's POV

I heard Tobias sigh and his footsteps walking away. I decided to get up and get changed.

'Ugh I need to pee..'

Then it hit me. The bathroom.

I ran to the conjoining door and turned the knob. Every swear word I knew went through my head.

'Of course it's freaking locked. Only my luck..'

I punched the door and heard a click. I glanced down to the handle and slowly reached to open it again.

'What the hell..'

The door swung open. I looked up to the mirror that hung a cross from my door. I whispered the words written in marker.

"I gave you a chance. Time to go boom- Dr. D"

I inhaled sharply when I saw a fire catch in the corner.

Without thinking, I ran to the window. I knew it wouldn't open, so I kicked it. The glass shattered. Again, with no thought in my mind, I jumped.

'What the hell am I doing..?!'

In mid-air, I turned myself so my feet were towards the ground. I landed on the heels of my feet. Slowly standing, I began to sniff. I could smell smoke coming from my room but there was more smoke coming from another part of the house.

Suddenly the room beside mine blew. Daire's room.

"Daire!" I screamed. The room above looked untouched, which seemed odd but I didn't think about it.

"Emily Jo! Over here!" I heard Daire's voice from the front of the house. I raced around and saw Dr. Davidoff Jr, Dr. Smith, Cato, Daire, Lauren and the rest of the staff. \

"Where's Tobias?" I looked at everyone's faces, "where is Tobias!"

"I thought he was with you!" Daire's face was pure horror and I knew it matched mine. We were both thinking about the explosions.

"I need to get him."

I turned back towards the house but there were two body guards standing infront of me.

"I'm sorry Emily Jo, but I cannot let you do that." My arms were grabbed by the guards and faced me towards the group. Both Cato and Daire were now being held by two guards of their own. Lauren walked towards me.

"Like I told you, he was only just a pawn. And we made our decision." She mock-whispered the ending.

"Rot in hell." I said through my teeth, straining against the men who held me back from strangling my "aunt".

Without warning, both men were ripped from me. Lauren looked sick and horrified. I turned and saw my dad and brother Cody standing there, a smirk on both their faces.

"I second that," Cody said. I grinned and threw my arms around my dad. He hugged me quickly and pushed me behind his left side. Lauren's face was still trying to recover.

"What are you doing here?" If looks could kill everyone within a mile radius would be dead except for my dad and Lauren.

"I'm here to get my daughter and her friends." My dad said, his fists going into balls.

Suddenly Cato's voice rose.

"Yeah about that, little help over here?"

My dad, not breaking eye contact with Lauren, responded.

"Cato? Just stand still for a moment please?"

When there was silence again, 5 werewolves lept out of the trees. Dr. Smith scream and began to run away.

"Leave her," I signalled to the ones who were going to follow her, "she won't get far anyway."

Without hesistation, they listened to me. But that's kinda expected since my father is the Alpha of the local pack. Lauren looked furious now.

"You have no right to take these children! I'm trying to fix everything you ruined!"

"You think you have a right, you hypocrite?" Cody said, starting to get pissed. My dad just raised his hand and it silenced my brother. I glanced over at him and he looked back at me. We could tell he was going into Alpha mode and we knew we had to back him up.

Slowly, I could feel my veins and muscles beginning the Change. I knew my eyes were starting to change colour and shape because my sight became sharper. As I glanced around, I could see the other werewolves, including the ones who were against us, beginning the Change. The fire still roared behind us and I thought of Tobias. My heart started to ache and my body started to reverse the Change.

"Dad, Tobias. I need to find him." I whispered.

"He's fine. The others are taking care of him." My dad responded. I didn't answer back because my dad would just point his anger to me.

Focusing my hearing on what was around me, I could hear there were people at the side of the house. One of the voices was Tobias. I took a huge sigh of relief.

Looking back to the group, I saw Dr. Davidoff Jr staring me down with an evil smirk across his face.

I started getting angry. I started shifting on my feet, wanting to rip his throat out. I knew this would come down to a fight.

"Leave Davidoff for me. I want to finish him." I said sounding like more of a growl than a teenage human girl speaking.

"Got it" Cody answered. I realized my dad and Lauren hadn't said anything for awhile. Glancing at them, I saw that they were still staring at each other. Glaring was actually a better word. Suddenly a fireball hit the ground.

"Now, are you just going to stand there or are we going to kick their asses?" Aunt Tori walked up beside me.

"Other way around, dear Victoria," replied Lauren as she snapped her fingers. Davidoff Jr smiled and I was flung backwards.

I landed on my feet but awkwardly. I'm pretty sure I had rolled my ankle. Looking up,, I saw that everyone was in a full out brawl and one of the werewolves was running at me.

'Time to end this..'
