Chapter 6

The next morning was a Saturday and Henry woke up to find his mom was not around, he found a note waiting for him on the dining table, it read:

Morning Kid,

Sorry I'm not there, but a case came up, I made Pancakes, they're in the fridge, just warm 'em up. Oh and if you're going out with friends drop me a text ok.

See you this evening

Love Mom

Henry then spent a few hours in the house, he ate pancakes, got dressed and played video games for a while. Then, when he got a little bored he went into his room and fetched the storybook which he had hidden under his bed. He opened it up and looked through the whole thing cover to cover, pausing when he saw the pictures of his grandma and grandpa as well as his other mom. He missed them all so much, and wanted really badly to see them again, he just had to make his mom remember them. In his dream he remembered Tink telling him he had to get his mom to remember and then take her to find the Jolly Roger, but how?

It was then that he accidently knocked over the trashcan, spilling its contents all over the floor, noticing then the piece of paper that his mom and thrown in the bin the day before. When he touched it he got an image in his mind of the man who had posted it through - Captain Hook.

"Hook"

After a little while of thinking he called up his friend Logan.

"Hey Henry, what's up?"

"My mom's got a case, and I'm bored, you wanna go to the arcade on the East River?"

"Sure, I'll call Alex and we'll meet you there"

"Deal"

Half an hour later Henry arrived at the arcade, which just happened to be a little ways down the street from where the Jolly Roger was, Alex and Logan were already there waiting for him.

"Hey guys"

"You know what your mom's working on?"

"Na, she'd never tell me anyway, listen you go in, I gotta drop something off for my mom's friend Annie who works at a store a little ways down the street".

"Sure, see you in a few"

Henry stood there for a minute, watching to make sure that Logan and Alex went inside the arcade, but instead of going to the store like he had told them he walked across the street to try and figure out where the Jolly Roger was. Then he noticed that there was a shimmer to the water so, he put his hand up to feel if the ship was there, it was. Next he felt along to find where the gangplank was, but carefully, so he wouldn't look crazy, when he found it he walked up it and found himself on the deck of the Jolly Roger.

He was all alone for a few minutes as he walked around the deck, suddenly Hook came out of the door that led below deck and he looked completely and utterly surprised to see him.

"Henry!"

"Hi"

After a few moments of silence Hook shouted below the deck "TINK, GET UP HERE, WE HAVE A GUEST".

A minute later Tink came up onto the deck, saw Henry and smiled.

"You remembered!"

"Yes, thanks to you. I woke up and immediately went to find the book, I picked it up and remembered everything"

"Good, how's your mom?"

"She's good, I would've tried to get her to remember this morning but she was already gone when I woke up this morning, so I'll try tonight and if not I'll keep trying until I can get her to remember"

"So why are you here?"

"I came to give you this" answered Henry who passed over a cheap cell phone he bought on his way over to Hook.

"What is it?"

"It's a cell phone, you use it to communicate, here, I'll show you"

A few minutes later Henry and shown then how to text and how to call, though admittedly he did find it tiring to explain all of it.

"So if mom remembers I'll call or text you to tell you we're on our way"

"Ok, and we can use this to contact you if we need to yes?" asked Tink

"Yeah sure, well I gotta go, I got a couple of friend's waiting for me across the street, see you soon"

"Goodbye Henry"

Henry then left the ship and went to join his friends in the arcade.
