Jax was helping get Gemma and Clays bodies into the van before he drove Opie to the emergency clinic.

"Surprisingly Skeeter doesn't want much in return. I may have lied to him about how they died, but he wants to pay his respects. If he only knew what they were guilty of." Tig commented while helping carry Clay out.

"alright, you guys get to Skeeters and I'm taking Opie to the clinic. After that we're going home to our girls. I suggest everyone just goes home and stays off the street. We don't know if Kohn will come around. " Jax said.

" Alright Jackie Boy. What's the story if Hale comes around looking for Gemma? He was just here and now she's disappeared. It looks suspicious." Chibs was concerned about the blow back.

"We tell the truth. Or as much of it as we can. We can tell him what we found out about John and then about hiring someone to kill Tara. We just absolutely can NOT let on that we know it's Kohn. We feed him the same bullshit. Tara is not to be alone until this shit is done. This guy is a psycho. I won't risk her life, but I won't spare Kohns either."

Everyone nodded their heads in agreement. Before leaving Jax pulled Chibs and Bobby aside.

"I don't want to let Juice out of my sight, but I want to spend time with Tara. Can one of you watch over him for a while. We need to have a sit down to decide what we're going to do."

"Aye. I'll stay here at the club with him. I don't have anything to do outside of the club. I'll clean up around here and make juicy help me. It'll be good for him." Chibs was hoping to talk to him to garner for information that they could piece together what happened with the whole situation.

"Yeah, alright. Juice!" Jax yelled across the lot. "You're with Chibs. You're not to leave and lock down the clubhouse when everyone leaves that's going to. Once we're locked down no one leaves." Jax looks directly at Juice as he's talking.

Jax was glad that he had his truck on the lot. It'd be hard riding to the clinic with Opie riding bitch.

"so this is a lot of shit that had come out today. How you doing with everything?" Opie asked.

Jax snorted. "Bro I don't know what the fuck to even think. Gemma and Clay killed my old man then tried to kill my old lady. This shit just isn't supposed to happen."

Opie took a deep breath. He knew he needed to bring it up, but God he didn't want to.

"How you feeling about what went down in the bedroom?"

"Not now bro. I'll tell you what you want to know later. I need time to digest all the information and things that happened. Op, I shot my mother in cold blood. I know it had to be done, but there's a lot things to think about. I just want to get to the clinic then get home to Tara." Jax said, his voice full of emotion.

"Just drop me off. I'll call Donna to come get me. You need to be with Tara. She's the only one equipped to handle your emo bullshit." Opie laughed and got out of the truck. "Can you guys and Happy watch after the kids if Mary's already dropped them back off?"

"Yeah man, of course. You sure you want me to leave? I don't mind staying." Jax said, even though he couldn't wait to get back to Tara.

After arguing for a few minutes, Jax finally got on the road back to Opies house. When he pulled up he smiled seeing Happy posted at the front door. Even the most mundane thing Happy took seriously. He was the best at protection duty because he wouldn't blink before killing anyone.

"Hey man, can you stay for a bit? Opie told me to come back and I'm gonna send Donna to get him. It'll just be me, Tara, and the kids, if they're here."

"The kids aren't here, but I'm staying anyway. I wouldn't leave my prez in a time like this." Happy smiled and went back to smoking his cigarette.

Jax walked inside and found Donna sitting next to the couch Tara was laying on.

"Sorry she couldn't go any further and refused to let Happy carry her anywhere. Where's Op? "

" He wants you to pick him up at the clinic. Thanks for bringing her back here. I appreciate it. He's at the clinic on East side, it's the closest and the one with the most club ties." Jax explained.

Donna smiled and got up to make her exit.

"Jax we need to make this right. I don't want her to leave. We just got her back." Donna said, her voice laced with sadness.

"Don't worry Donna, I'm not letting her go anywhere. I love her too much to let her leave. She'll be safe here."

Jax sat there and stared at Taras sleeping form. The events of the day were catching up to him and he couldn't handle all the emotion running within him. He killed his mother. He knew it needed to happen, but still, she's his mother. He couldn't believe that not only had she tried to kill Tara, but she was willing to turn him in. She was a rat. She was a stupid, selfish, arrogant bitch. She had taken the one person in life who cared what happened to him, his father. She also tried to take away the woman he loved more then life. He should have known something was wrong, but he was too deep into club shit to see what was right in front of him. Realizing he may have been able to stop the things that happened to Tara, he suddenly couldn't be in the room with her. She was in such a prone position. Beaten and bruised beyond belief.

He got up and hastily ran out the front door. Happy stopped him by placing a hand on his shoulder. Jax tturned to him and Happy saw the anguish and desperation on his face.

"Hey. You know I'm kind of hungry, and I can't leave my post. Mind going and getting me something to eat?" Jax sighed a breath of relief, having an out and not just abandoning Tara.

"Yeah Hap, of course. If Tara wakes up all me immediately." Jax knew his voice wad gravelly from the unshed tears and emotions, but he didn't care. Happy knew how he was feeling and he wasn't one to push any information out.

Back in the house, Tara woke up to the sound of a motorcycle starting. She looked around for Donna, but found the room empty.

"Jax?" she called into the empty room.

The front door opened and Happy walked through.

"Hey Tara. Jax was here but he went to get me some food. I'm not to leave my post so I conned Jax into going." Happy said, hoping she believed him.

"Alright. Can you have him pick me something up too?"

Happy excused himself to call Jax. Jax did he'd be back in twenty minutes.

"He'll be here soon. You feeling okay?" Happy asked her.

"No I feel like shit. But I'll get better. Hey, can I ask you something?"

Happy nodded waiting for her to continue.

"What's it going to look like now? With everything that happened what's going to happen next?"

"Well that's a trick question. This club has never seen such deception or melvolence before. All I know is We're going to protect you and make things right. Jax only did what he had to do. I can tell you this, if he hadn't done it, someone else on the club would have. You don't do the things those two did. We're a family and you protect your family. You don't lie, kill, and rat. Those two got out of this way easier then what they should have gotten." Happy had anger laced in his voice.

"Are they going to kill Kohn?"

"At least." Happy answered immediately.

"But he's a fed."

"That's not going to matter. He's got to pay for what he's done. None of this will fall on you. We're good at covering our tracks. Plus, Jax would never let anyone hurt you again. He lays a lot of blame on himself and he shouldn't. He didn't know what happened to you, and he couldn't have stopped it. He's a good guy, and things will calm down after a while."

Tara sat and stared at Happy. He looked so scary and menacing, but he spoke with such heart and truth that she didn't doubt that she was safe. All she needed now was to see Jax and know that he was going to be okay and she would deal with the rest as it came.
