"Jaycee" POV

My teeth groaned under the strain of my clenched jaw, and forced me to ease up on the tortured appendage. The sky outside my window was dark with clouds, but I did not need to see the face of the moon to know that it was nearly full, hence why my anger was so out of control.

Elaysia, the elder, was in bad shape. She was thin to the point of emaciation and hardly had the strength to move herself. However, the elder did have many interesting details, including the whereabouts of the alien's base. Gooseflesh rose on my arms as I thought about entering that place. It was unlikely that I would get out alive, however, the elder was sure that the alien was holding her brethren there, and so I would have to make an attempt at rescue.

The fact that this alien had been preventing this elder and her kin from hunting for the better part of a month, hence her skeletal appearance, was what really chapped my chops. I had also learned how the creature had been tormenting this clan since the last full moon, when he no doubt had first discovered their presence via the many vocalizations which took place that night.

He had started with one of the largest. A newly blooded White-Fang, who had yet to master his enormous size. The boy had not stood a chance against the technology of the alien, not moon-mad as he had been.

The alien had returned not long after and preyed solely on the males. He also prevented the pack from hunting efficiently with his nightly patrols of the area. Of course they weakened from lack of food, which made it easier to capture them. I ground my teeth once more as my own gut gargled with sympathy.

Rage boiled inside me and I swore to myself that I would have a rescue or take revenge. The moon was nearly full and it was difficult for me to control the beast within. My jaws itched to spill blood and I ran my tongue over my canines in anticipation. I was sure that my eyes bled with crimson as I slammed my apartment door hard enough to shatter one of the windows on the way out.

Rain soaked me through within moments, I hardly cared. I wanted carnage. Tonight I would hunt, and Zim would be my meal.

It was not hard to follow the elder's directions. Her pack had been scouting the area and mounting a rescue effort, when they still had viable warriors. It was all I could do not to burst into wolf form, I was so amped up and ready for a fight. I longed for the lithe figure and long agile legs that would allow me to cover ground in half the time. I wanted to voice my fury and rally the local canines for a fight.

I did not try to be inconspicuous as I stomped quickly through the rain, paying no heed to the puddles on my rampage towards the alien's home.

I saw the house before I smelled it because of the rain, obviously . It stuck out like a sore thumb, although a sore thumb looked a lot better than this pile of garbage. Elaysia had said that the garden gnomes were some sort of security system which activated once an unidentified target entered the front yard. I glanced around for alternate access points.

"Jaycee?" A familiar voice startled me, and I resisted the urge to turn and snarl at the potential threat. My figurative hackles fell as I realized it was Dib. I really should not have been surprised to see him there. The boy had made his suspicion and dislike of the alien plain from the moment I had met him. I turned away, planning to ignore him, but he persisted. "Are you planning on breaking into Zims house?"

I glanced at him and was glad it was dark, for the darkness ensured he could not see the crimson leaking into the whites of my eyes.

"You'll never get in, the only way is roof access." I turned away from him and continued my assessment. Slowly I calmed my rampaging beast, and began to walk around the block until I came to a fire-escape attached to a nearby apartment building. I could hear Dib's footprints splashing behind me, I cared not. He may prove as a useful diversion. Or perhaps a source of information.

My eyes glided over to the young man once more and I studied him at intervals as he climbed behind me. Reason finally took my rage's hand and the two became close friends as I pondered my plan of attack while climbing the ladder of the fire-escape.

"I'm looking for a holding cell of some sort, in the monster's base." I spoke at last. I was glad that my voice came out cool, as it had been very difficult not to lash out and go completely postal just a moment ago.

"If he has one it would be in the lower levels. It's accessed from the toilet in the kitchen." That caught my attention and turned my head as I stared back at him incredulously. He shrugged in reply. Obviously this extra-terrestrial was a little behind on the times.

Soon we reached the roof of the apartment building and it was an easy feat (for me) to jump to the next roof. Dib made a noise in the back of his throat and I turned to see that he was a little less confident in his abilities. He also, however, looked as if he did not want to be shown up my a girl and so made to jump.

He belly-flopped onto the house next to Zim's roof and pulled himself up with a moan. I was already at the edge of the opposite end and easily fell down onto one of the metallic hook-ons that seemed to be leeching energy from the neighbor. It was easy enough to peel the metal back and slip into the exposed wiring.

A human's ears would not have picked up the humming of energy so easily, but to me it was nearly deafening in such a close proximity. I knew, however, that the alien would not be expecting anyone to enter through these strange contraptions. A human would not have been able to tear through the metal, and until a month ago humans were the only enemy he had prepared against.

I heard a muffled thump behind me as Dib fell into the circuits as well and crawled along behind me. I secretly smirked to myself as I could hear the question in his brain that he dare not ask for fear of being heard. 'how did she rip that open?'

Dibs PoV

Nothing here added up.

While I was glad to have an ally in the fight against Zim the fact that she had suddenly appeared in front of his house during a thunder storm looking for a 'holding cell' was just a little odd. Also odd was the fact that she could clear the roofs of houses as if they were stepping stones over a creek, and how exactly had she ripped open the power supplier's metal casing so quickly?

I could not see her from my position so far behind her, but I could hear the slight clinking of the metal chords and was sure that she was not so far ahead of me. Suddenly I could see light ahead of me, or rather below me. I was in the wiring that served as Zim's ceiling in his living room! His robot dog Gir was watching T.V. as per usual, but no alarms had yet been triggered.

I could see Jaycee already in the kitchen and picked my way over the metal tubes to follow suit.

I realized she had been waiting, quite impatiently, for me to catch up. She assumed, correctly, that I knew how the toilet elevator worked. I got out my voice recorder, with several prepared commands in Zim's voice, and we were soon standing side by side in a descending elevator. Sharing an elevator with a girl was a little less awkward than I had thought it would be, but it was just as quiet as I had feared.

The doors opened and she was out, again ahead of me. That bothered me a bit, but I supposed she felt she had more pressing matters to attend to than I. I took out my cell phone and began recording our adventure. The Swollen Eye would put this evidence to good use. It was well-lit down here and I could see Jaycee clearly for the first time tonight.

She was covered with mud, though I supposed that could be excused if her hair did not have twigs sticking out of it. But her eyes...I could only see a partial profile of the side of her face from this angle but her eyes were blood-red and...reflective. Like a cat's eyes in a flash picture.

My pulse increased as my mind started to race. I panned the camera over to her as my mind started piecing things together.

I had been wondering what had happened to the local population of werewolves, and while I was not sure I had thought Zim had something to do with their sudden disappearance. Obviously I had been right because Jaycee was without a doubt a werewolf. The fact that she was here, and so obviously ticked off, searching for a holding cell of all things, meant that her pack must have been abducted by Zim.

He was going to be leader of the Swollen Eye after this was done.
