Chapter 2:
When we got out to the training yard, I pulled out my sword and shield and held up the shield, "The Old Man said to have a look at you, so, let's have a look."
She just stood there staring at me with confused expression on her face. "Come on, take a few swings at me, trust me, I can take it."
With that she shrugged and drew her sword. She heaved a noise that sounded a bit like a war cry strangled by a troll. The strength behind her arm was surprising. The little minx was actually able to knock me back! I recovered and told her to do it again, and again, she knocked me back, but I was knocked back into a crouching position!
"You've got a strong arm there. Next time won't be so easy. But, you're still only a whelp to us, so you do what we tell you. Here, take my sword up to Eorlund and tell him that I meed it re-forged. Oh, and don't drop it, its probably worth more than you are!" I said that with a mocking tone to my voice.
She put on an offended look and went up to the Skyforge. Aela and Skjor were outside as well and sitting under the rood. It appears that they were watching us.
"She gave you quite the thrashing, Vilkas." Teased Skjor.
"Ha! The whelp just got lucky," I retorted, in no mood to joke.
"Lighten up Vilkas, he was only joking." Spoke up Aela the Huntress. She is a red haired Nord woman who wears ancient Nordic armor that is a bit too revealing in my opinion. Skjor is a balding, half-blind aging Nord. He has a longs pink scar that trails down his cheek, under his blind eye, his left eye.
I just grunted at her and entered the mead hall. Once inside the mead hall, I chose a spot and sat down to have a few drinks. Then, of course, who walks in? None other than that fool, Loranna. Walking and she flashed me a smile and headed down to the bedroom area. A cocky one she is. After a little while, and a few drinks for me, Farkas, my twin brother, walked up from the living quarters.
"Looks like we have some new blood." Farkas said to me.
"Yeah, I know, I just tested her, and she proved to be strong." I shot out at him.
"Aww, did somebody get beat?" teased Farkas.
"No! But she proved herself both cocky and stupid and that she has a fairly strong arm."I looked at him, then around the room we were sitting in,"Where is the whelp, anyways?"
"Sent her on a job, the one where she has to beat Nazeem into submission.."
"Ha! I'd be surprised if she could manage it."
"You just might be surprised then."
"Yeah, right" I said kind of grumpy.
"Alright then, be that way, meanie," Farkas said as he walked away, giving me a pout face.
I continued to drink for a bit, then went out to train Ria, the newest member until Loranna.
