Cagalli and Akihiko walked inside the house with caution. They both came across two huge picture frames where a female and male's photos were encased. Cagalli looked in wonder as to why his house had a picture of what seems to be his father. "Uhm… Aki-kun… I thought you said you never met your father and you don't know what he looked like…. Why do you have a picture of him hanging on the wall?"

"I… lied to you… I'm sorry… The truth is, I didn't want to acknowledge that he was my father. He left me and my mother all alone. He abandoned us." Akihiko answered her with anger in his voice while clenching his fists. "I understand… So his name was Christian Sermine… and your mother's name was Sayoko Yamada…" Cagalli read the golden plates just below the frames. Akihiko walked towards Cagalli as he looked at the image of his parents hanging on the wall. The Lioness felt his sadness for his mother's death and anger towards his father. "I wonder if that bastard's alive…"

"Well, we wouldn't know for sure… Oh, right! Isn't there something you wanted me to see?" The hazel eyed princess quickly changed the topic. She was interested anyway. Akihiko turned his head to look at her, only to see her smiling at him. He figured that it won't change things if he thought of it. He grinned and took Cagalli's hand. He pulled her and they ran towards a door.

"Wow… That's one big door. Does this lead to the basement? …or a secret hideout?" Cagalli was evidently excited about the door. She was restless and was inquisitive. "Secret room?" he answered her with uncertainty. He opened the door, turned on the lights, and was welcomed by what others would call a secret training facility. "This. Is. Awesome!" The Athha princess roared and ran to the center of the large area. "Dude! What do you do here?"

"I used to train here… When I told you that I was an assassin and refused to come with you before, I wasn't lying. You forced me to come with you so now I don't use it."

"Woooow…. I'm really speechless." As she toured around the area looking at the different equipmentm Akihiko suddenly spoke. "I took you here to ask you something…"

As the atmosphere grew darker, Akihiko went closer and he eyed Cagalli. "Don't pretend like you didn't know… Cagalli…"

"What are you talking about?" The blonde princess smiled at him, unsure of what he meant. "Don't pretend to be ignorant, you murderer." Cagalli's eyes suddenly narrowed as her expression changed as well. "I didn't expect you to notice, Aki-kun."

"When I declined your first offer to come with you, I didn't know… I was so hooked on finding the killer of my mother. When you kept on asking, I saw something on the back of your hand and that's what made me go with you. I figured that I could seek revenge if I was close to you."

Cagalli's chuckle echoed through the room as she laughed maniacally. "I have an offer for you… You promise to protect me with every bit of your life and I will bring back your mother…"

"What!? Bring back the dead? That's insane! You can't bring the dead back!" Akihiko was now angrier than ever. He did not know to react but she wasn't joking. He knew due to how she looked at him.

"You know, you don't look so bad… I like you…" Cagalli cupped Akihiko's chin and whispered to him. "I'll let her go if you do as I say."

"Let… her go?" Akihiko was curious. Did she mean his mother, or was it something else. "I'll be going now…" At that, Cagalli left the Sermine residence as she smiled evilly.

The next day, everything went back to normal, or so they've thought. Cagalli and Akihiko acted like nothing happened the night before as they wouldn't want people to be suspicious.

As Cagalli looked at her documents, Akihiko opened his mouth but was unable to utter a single word. "If you're going to say something, say it." He caught the blonde's attention and took a deep breath before talking. "That note… who wrote that?"

Cagalli put the papers down and stared at her desk for a moment. She took the note from her drawer and read it again. She sighed and looked at Akihiko. "I may be thinking of something evil, but I don't remember writing this."

"I see… Do you have an idea then?" Cagalli's eyes were fixed on the note and not on Akihiko. He too, was more interested with the letter rather than her true identity. "Nope… I can't sense anything, not even malice, which are normally in threat letters such as this one."

"You have strong spiritual senses…" Akihiko eyes were looking at a Cagalli he never knew existed. "Why… did you become… evil?" The blonde stood up and glared at Akihiko. "Evil? Well, let's just say something happened a long time ago and no one knows about it until now…"

The princess left the room, but was soon followed by Akihiko. "Why are you following me?" He grabbed her arm and put her to a halt. "I… " Unable to speak up, Cagalli freed herself from his grasp and took off. Akihiko put his head down and clenched his fists. "Something is really wrong here… but I can't figure it out…"

Akihiko followed Cagalli after a few minutes, only to see her standing still. He ran towards her and saw that her hands were raised; making it visible that there was blood. "Wha-what happened!?" He said as he panted. "Nothing. It was nothing…" Putting her hands on her pockets, she walked away from Akihiko again but he grabbed her again. "Tell me what happened or I'll kill you right here, right now."

"I'm not obliged to tell you anything… Leave me alone for now." She freed herself again and walked away. "Cagalli… what's this I'm feeling…?"

WELL XD change of genre? I decided that I will put a plot twist that almost no one expected XD XD changed rating to MATURE because there might be bloody scenes XD As I got longer to update, certain ideas just pop out, changing the course of the story :)))
