As Cagalli sighed after failing to contact Akihiko, her phone rang and she answered it hesitantly.
"Hello? This is Cagalli speaking."
"Cagalli! It's Kira! Th-there's something th-that happened…! Akihiko's…! He got hurt! Someone stabbed him!"
Now the blonde princess was in panic. Akihiko got hurt? She was sweating hard and swallowed. She doesn't know how to react and just asked Kira whatever came out from her mouth.
"What do you mean 'stabbed'? Like, with a knife? Wait, Kira… I…" Cagalli couldn't say anything else. She was scared for Akihiko. "Is he alive?! Tell me, Kira!" She shouted through the phone and it made Kira remove the phone from near his ear for a while before answering his sister.
"He's fine. It's just that, he lost a huge amount of blood and is now resting. We aren't sure if someone really planned to hurt him or if it was an accident. It seemed like someone 'unintentionally' stabbed him with a screwdriver. But, we're still unsure…." Kira's voice was quivering. He didn't what to say exactly to calm her down.
Cagalli hung up, not saying anything to Kira after explaining to her. She turned her phone off to keep anyone from calling. Her eyes gave off a malicious aura.
"Now then… to finish what I should've done a long time ago…"
The ORB princess then disappeared into thin air. She reappeared in front of Akihiko and looked down on him.
"I'm sorry for involving you in my problems. I shall heal you now."
Green light started to envelope Akihiko. Energy flowed from Cagalli's body going to Akihiko's. Her insignia on her hand lit up as she conjured a magic circle around him, uttering a spell. After a little while, his wounds were fully healed and he was now regaining his stamina. Disappearing into thin air once again, she softly spoke something to Akihiko's ear.
"Good bye, Aki-kun…"
A male figure was sitting down, his legs crossed. He felt a presence starting to grow stronger and he tilted his head to the opposite side where it as resting on the back of his hand. He stood up, knowing he has a visitor. He removed his hood from his head and gave a wide smile.
"Welcome, Princess. It seems like you're early. This is not going according to plan. I have not finished planning for your demise. You're way too early. Are you desperate to close this case that much?"
Cagalli's form was now complete. She glared at the person in front of him and walked towards him. Both of them were just standing in front of each other, not moving an inch. Cagalli knew this guy the moment she saw his appearance.
"Christian Sermine."
"Ah! You know my real name… There goes my perfect plan. I'll just have to finish you right here, right now." The male figure spread his arms and composed a mass of energy on his hands.
"You're the guy who sent the threat letter, aren't you?" Cagalli readied herself as well, with a spirit sword in hand.
"Yes. I thought so hard on the codename but it turns out you know who I really am. Anyway, why don't we just do this and end it?"
"Be my guest."
Christian and Cagalli charged towards each other with their equipped weapons. The blonde princess flew towards the opposite direction due to the impact of his attack. Cagalli retaliated and charged back at him with a stronger energy. During her mid-dash, she felt evil energy coursing through her veins. There were two different forces inside her fighting and she figured out that it was her two other sides.
"That's one strong attack. Are you really from this world? You really are something, Princess!" Christian laughed maniacally as he tried to stand up, coughing out blood after getting hit by Cagalli's dark energy. He charged at her with all of his strength.
He was shocked to have his gut separate from his body. Dark energy took over Cagalli; He felt it. There was malice all over the place and he was scared. "Wh-what… what are you…?" He said, nervousness taking over him.
Cagalli stood up, her head down and formed a wicked smile before snapping her fingers. At the sound of it, Christian Sermine was suddenly reduced to blood and bits of flesh. Their fight came to an end, saving her country and friends from this guy. She knew that he was just one of her promise.
"I'll end it… now."
She concentrated her powers and made her final wish.
It was to eradicate her evil side, bring back Akihiko's mother and bring her peace to the world.
She did what she had to do right here, not going anywhere and not doing anything else. White light started to become visible and it exploded, not harming anything around it. Her evil side, good side and herself were starting to vanish, ceasing to exist.
"You're pretty stupid. We could've ruled the world!"
"Stop your whining. There's no point. She's already determined to make her wish come true. It might not be long since we were made known but this is how it should end. Sacrificing yourself to bring back his mother… even more so we cannot keep you alive… I'm sorry."
"Don't apologize. This was my decision. Now, let's do this."
A figure started to form in front of Akihiko, who was still unconscious, sleeping on a bed at a hospital at the PLANTs. She was his mother. The woman sat down beside him, caressing his face as he stirred in his sleep. He woke up and jolted up, hugging his mother out of reflex.
"Mother? How did you…? But you're…?" He let go of her and examined her body, checking if she was real. His mother simply smiled and hugged him.
"I was brought back by a warm power. I heard her voice. She said, "Please take care of Akihiko."
Akihiko's eyes widened as he heard his mother talk. There was this uneasy feeling inside of him. He doesn't want to think that something has happened to Cagalli. He felt an attachment to her but now, he wouldn't know what exactly happened.
Meanwhile, inside the Orb Parliament House, Shinn Asuka was looking around for the blonde princess. She's been gone for a while and nobody saw her leave. "Where are you…?"
The Final Chapter is coming because I said so.
