I imagine that you all who still follow this story are surprised to see an update, but I regret to inform all of you that it is not a true update. It is more of a farewell than anything, and before you grab your pitchforks and torches, allow me to explain.
This fiction was published in 2007, a full seven years ago. That is plenty of time for a person to mature and grow, and my writing has done just that. This was the first story I ever felt brave enough to put on the fanfiction site, and where I once looked at it with pride I now wretch to even think that I once wrote in this manner. I actually mentally vomit a little every time I read even a fraction of this story, and if I weren't the author, I would slap the person responsible for the desecration of a plotline that never got off the ground.
I have no more to give for this story, and where I once pledged to never give up on a story, I did so in naivety. I had followed stories that authors abruptly ended or abandoned, and it hurt me inside that I would never know how their written work would be finished. But I didn't realize that these authors had their own reasons for ceasing the production of their works, just as I have my own now.
I request your sincerest forgiveness, as I will be taking this story down within a week or two. I have considered placing it up for adoption, but the thought of this storyline continuing down a flat, horribly overly dramatic and exhausted road makes my gut twist.
Again, I apologize, and hope that those of you who follow me as an author will continue to read my more current works.
