Steve and Traci Part 2

Traci and Holly

"Congratulations!" Traci squealed giving Holly and Gail a hug and taking brunette's hand to admire the ring.

"It's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen." Holly smiled.

"I'm glad you like it." Traci smirked.

"Traci here picked out the setting and cut, because I obviously have no idea what that even means." The blonde laughed wrapping her arms around their fiancée.

"You have impeccable taste." the architect smiled.

"Which is why Holly and I have appointed you Maid of Honor." Gail announced looking between the two women.

"If you want of course." Holly added.

"There's absolutely nothing I want more" she smiled embracing the two women.

"Well Paris was incredible, but duty calls and I have to be in court in an hour so I will leave you both to be all girly and mushy." Gail said looking at her watch. She hugged Traci and gave her fiancee a quick kiss.

"Would it be weird if I proposed to her too?" Holly almost whispered as the two women sat down.

"I think that would be sweet, I heard you were given a very special ring." she wiggled her eyebrows playfully earning a laugh from Holly.

"Yes. Its beautiful, I think Gail would love it. And I think I have the perfect idea on how to propose. And you have to help me!" Holly smirked at Traci

Today was Gail's day off and with the help from Steve they managed to get Gail out of the house for the surprise.

Steve and Gail

"I can't tell you how proud I am of you." he smiled as they sat in front of the PS4.

"Don't get all mushy on me now." Gail scrunched her nose playfully.

"No really sis, you've been through a lot this year and you made some mistakes but you were wise enough to know that, that beautiful architect needed to be yours forever. She's your better half you know."

Gail smiled, her brother was right. This past year had been exhausting, painful, but also a very important turning point in her life. She was finally happy, honestly happy. The kind of happy that had her heart thrumming against her chest when she saw Holly cooking dinner, the happy that relieved her stress from a bad case at work with a simple kiss from the lips of the woman she loved. It spread too, to Gail's dismay. She would have dinner with her mom more often, alone. The older woman very proud of the house and the important cases her daughter won. For once, after the unfortunate events in her life she was happy. Things weren't always perfect, but she learned that the arguments they had were just part of growing and being together.

"I know she is, and that's why she's sporting that iceberg on her finger." Gail smirked

Steve pulled out a box and handed it over to Gail and she took it carefully but not without furrowing her brow in question.

Gail opened it, "You made me realize that its time I asked Traci to marry me."
"Grandma's ring?" Gail's eyes watered, she knew what the stone meant to him and the fact that he wanted to give it to Traci was monumental.

"The perfect ring for the perfect woman." he smiled. "Now there will be 2 Mrs-Peck-To-Be, if she says yes of course."

"She will Steve, she loves you. Just like Holly loves me." she leaned into her brother's chest where he held her tight as she wrapped her arms around his waist.

"How did we get so lucky Gail?" he asked kissing the top of her head.

"I'd have to say our devilishly good looks, cause it was definitely not our charm."

The siblings laughed, "Gail, I know you're over it but I just wanted to tell you that what Nick did, that wasn't your fault. He was a little bitch that couldn't appreciate the woman he had in front of him."

"Like I've told you before, he was just a Northern Star that lead me into Holly's oh so very capable hands, lips, tongue, fingers-" she teased before being interrupted by a traumatized Steve.

"Okay I get the point! I don't need the picture of my sister and her wife together in my head. I already have your stinky ass diapers engraved in there."

"You loved being my big brother shut up!"

"Love Gail, I still do."

"Yeah?" she smiled pulling a box from her bag. He took it and opened it carefully. "Love me enough to do me the honor of being my best man?"

"Gail. I can't take this." his lips quivered at his attempt to keep from crying.

"Of course you can, and you will. Grandpa took care of me and now you are, he would be proud of you. Dad agreed that you should be the one to have it."

"Thank you Gail, and it would be my honor to be your best man."

And with that they returned to their game, both feeling elated for having such an amazing relationship.

They were interrupted an hour later by Gail's phone announcing a text and Steve smirked knowing exactly what was going on.

"Holly wants to have an early dinner, I'll finish kicking your ass later." she said standing and kissing his cheek.

"Have fun." he almost whispered as she walked away.

When the lawyer got in her car she saw it immediately, a little white envelope taped to the sun visor. She pulled it off wondering how in the world it got on there when it wasn't there before. She opened It and pulled out the little white card inside.

It's no longer there but its your first clue, go to the "approximate" place I FIRST laid eyes on you.

Gail couldn't help but smile, Holly could be so adorable sometimes. She loved doing cute things for her and even though the blonde swore she was a bad ass she knew that there was nothing better than going along with the sweet things her future wife did. It was one of the millions upon billions of reasons Gail adored her. So she made her way over to the house trying to remember exactly where the temp house had been. She didn't have to look very far, as her car pulled up to the gate of the mansion she saw the tiny envelope taped to one of the bars, Gail put the car in park and walked over, pulling the envelope off and excitedly pulling the card out.

Even in the darkness you shined, and that evening in the night we dined.

She smiled and returned to the car, finding a dress bag in the passenger seat that wasn't there before, she should have been scared but smiled it off when she read the note "PUT ME ON." She figured it was to sport at her next clue so she pulled on the dress in the backseat before pulling away to Le Noir. A young boy waited for her handing her a shoe box and taking her keys. She realized that the shoes were part of the get up so she slipped them on before heading inside.

The darkness consumed her and the euphoria took over, the memory of Holly's fingers in hers on that fateful day made her smile. She was seated and shortly afterward given her plate, she took a bite and she couldn't think of something more delectable, besides Holly of course. Chocolate wasn't her favorite but this cake was delicious enough to change her mind , she devoured it happily. Holly hated when she spoiled her dinner so this was more than OK. When her plate was empty she heard the waiter come by and place yet another small envelope in front of her, it was glow in the dark and the blonde found it fascinating,

Did you like your treat, my heart? Now go to the place where the ship broke apart.

She read the card over and over and a smile crept on her lips at the thought of Holly trying really hard to make the little clues. They were cheesy yes, but she could picture her fiancee's ecstatic face as she made them rhyme.
Gail waited for her car and made her way to the drive in movie she had taken her to. Now that she thought about it, she felt embarrassed that she had brought the architect here. She pulled up and it was empty she looked up at the giant screen and a picture came out of the static, it was Holly. Well a recording of Holly.

There's always trouble in paradise baby, its true, but find your way to where you got on your knees and looked so blue.

The lawyer smiled wide, wider than ever, it drove her crazy when Holly was being so nerdy and cute. She was enjoying this, a little too much though if you asked her.

She pulled up to her parents house, there was no one home so she let herself in going straight to the hallway passed the kitchen. This is where she had chased after Holly, the Holly who took care of her even though she is and was a big butch to her. This is where she realized that without Holly in her life she'd be lost and afraid. That without this gorgeous being she'd be stuck in a rut so deep nothing could pull her out.

She looked around and her eyes landed on a small table and sure enough a tiny white envelope slanted against a beautiful bottle of Chateau Lafite. Holly never ceased to amaze her.

Mud and yuck can be used as tips, when I first on the earth kissed your lips.

The lawyer beamed, the memory if their first official kiss overwhelming her with happiness. What an experience it had been to kiss Holly in such a irreverent yet exhilarating way.

The garden looked divine, She wondered why she didn't spend more time admiring the gorgeous flowers that adorned every foot of the majestic garden. She made her way to the center where a small fountain stood cascading water and sure enough a tiny white envelope awaited next to a bouquet of her favorite roses. Red roses.

Patiently we waited for the moment we came undone, to the place where I first made love to you, you must come.

That night would be something Gail could never forget. The very first time she got to touch and make love to Holly's marvelous body. They were in a oh so sweet bliss for countless hours afterward, never pulling apart. Sex became a vital part of their lives. The blonde needed, yearned for, drooled over the brunette, she loved her.

She looked toward the house and made her way over finding a trail of rose pedals as soon as she opened the front door. They lead through the foyer, up the winding stairs, down the hallway to the doors that lead into their bedroom. She took a deep breath and opened the door slowly.

And against standing against their gigantic window was Holly, wearing an extremely sexy black suit and a shirt that complimented Gail's dress.

"Hey." Holly smiled walking up to the blonde.

"Hi." The lawyer said smiling into the kiss the brunette planted on her.

"You look divine." She blushed, even now that Gail was her's it still made her nervous to be in front of a woman so gorgeous.

"And you look absolutely delicious... I mean stunning." Gail smirked devilishly earning a raises eyebrow from her fiancée.

The blonde finally got a chance to look around the room. It was lot dimly lit by scented candles, a scatter of pedals along the floor and on the white sheets on the bed, the wine she brought up was no being cooled, and faint music was being played on the stereo.

"Holly, what's all this for?" She asked looking around then meeting brown eyes.

"Do you like it?" She asked unsure.

"I love it baby, I loved everything. It was the absolute sweetest thing anyone has done for me Hol." She took her hand pulling her close for a kiss. She wrapped her hands around Holly's waist, wanting no space left between them. She deepened the kiss soliciting a moan from the brunette. Her hands traveled from waist to hips and began to rock against them as she desperately tried to unbutton the architect's shirt in an attempt to find skin.

Holly broke the kiss, sex would come just not yet.
"We need to stop."

"What why?" Gail frowned

"Just wait, I need to ask you something." Holly smiled

"Hol, I want to devour you, make this quick. There's literally a current between my thighs that you need to sooth. Like now." Gail's eyes were dark with want, Holly knew better than to keep her when she wanted her.

"Alright I guess I'll make it quick." She laughed at her adorably needy Gail.
"As soon as I laid eyes on you I knew you were probably the most beautiful woman I'd ever see. You were a bitch and a bit spoiled, well maybe a lot spoiled but I as I got to know you I realized that there was so much more behind that cold complexion. After Le Noir and Titanic I was certain of a couple things, one I enjoyed your company even though I felt I'd go into cardiac arrest whenever you touched or looked at me. And two, there was nothing I wanted to do more than kiss you. Of course things didn't go well, how could they right? You were engaged. But even after the storm you cooked up you came back with this beautiful ass rainbow that stole my heart once more. And when you kissed me, my god, when you kissed me I knew. I knew that I had endured all that for the moment your lips met mine. And the rest is history. It was too easy to fall in love with you, too easy. And after everything you stood in Paris that day and asked me to marry you. I know you were scared, but you need to know that I adore you, and that there are days I look at this glacier and still can't believe that I'm going to say 'I do' to the most incredible and beautiful woman I know. And Gail, I love you so incredibly much and I can't think of a better way to do this." And with that she got on one knee pulling out the small box she had received and popping it open asked, "Gail, will YOU marry ME?"

The blonde recognized the gorgeous ring immediately, and wave after wave of emotion took over her body. Wondering just how Holly got a hold of the precious ring and if she had any idea what it meant to her. But she'd ask those questions later. Right after she said yes and delicate fingers slid the diamond onto her finger. Right after she'd stop kissing the woman she adored, the woman she was way too lucky to have. Yeah, she'd ask her later. Just as soon as she finished thanking her by making love to her on their bed.
