A few weeks had passed since I met up with Alex. We got closer everyday but that was bound to happen when there was only the two of us. We were slowly making our way to Forks. On the way we met a couple of infected thankfully it wasn't too bad. We had good days and bad. The good were the days we found a car that I could hotwire that is until we ran out of gas. The bad were the nights we couldn't find a safe place to sleep and hide. So far it was a good day.

"Where the hell are we?" Alex asked as she got out of the car. It just ran out of gas on us and I was hoping to find another one before it got dark. There was still two to three hours left but I didn't want to risk it. We were in a small town and where there's a town, there's sure to be infected hiding.

Alex was looking at a map trying to figure out our whereabouts while I tried to find a car with some gas. How she can read maps is beyond me, all I see are lines and dots. I spot a pretty BM to the right and make my way towards it. Damn it not even half a tank. It'll have to do as long as it got us out of here.

"REN!"

"Yeah? What is it?"

"I think I know where we are. I think we're in Port Angelas. Well at least I think."

"Really are you sure! That means we're two hours away!"

"Then we better leave now. It's getting dark like its going to rain bad." Alex said while looking up at the sky.

She's right it does look like rain or even snow. It's near November I think. The days have gotten shorter and colder. We aren't dressed right for rain or snow so we need to find somewhere fast. This car is just going to have to do I think.

"Lets go" I say as we jump into the car. I hotwire it and we're off. I drive as fast as I can through the town. Every things run down. Cars are left on the middle of the road. Some in accidents others broken into or left with doors wide open.

"We're nearly at the boarder of town now I can see it"

"We'll make it don't worry" I say reassuring her. I look at the sky and see raindrops on the windshield. Think is, if it rains heavy like its about to do now they sky and everywhere else is darker. And due to the fact that this is the wettest place in the US its guaranteed to be like this for a couple of hours which means that the infected will come out early to hunt.

In less than five minutes we make it out of town into the long forest covered road. I can see Alex relax beside me and let out a sigh of relief. I don't however. I've a sickly bad feeling in the pit of my stomach. another twenty minutes pass and the feeling still hasn't gone. Something isn't right. Suddenly I hear a popping noise and the car suddenly jolts.

"What was that?" Alex asks as I stop the car and throw my head back on the seat.

"That was one of the back tyres popping. We have a flat. Fucking perfect." I say looking at the rain pouring down from the heavens from a pitch black sky. Alex grabs our bags and hoodies because we both know what's next. We're walking in the dark.

Alex and I quickly run through the forest through the pouring rain. My clothes are all sticking to me along with my hair thats sticking to my face. Its while we're running trying to get away from the main road as fast as we can that we hear it. It's a horrible ear pitching scream. Its abnormal because it is.

"They are out, and their hunting. You'd swear they knew we were out here." Alex says beside me.

"Honestly they probably do. They could have heard the car for all we know and followed it as soon as it got dark enough for them to come outside." I say. I a gun from the side pocket of my backpack while we're running and check to see if its full. Yup all bullets there. Alex does the same and grabs for her knifes. We're still running through the trees and that's when I see it.

"Alex there's something up ahead. It's silver. I...I think it's a fence?" No way. What the hell! What are the odds that a giant fence is in our way. We stop in front of it out of breath with the rain still falling. I go to grab it but I hear the humming before so. It's electric. What?

"There must be people on the other side Ren there has to be!"

"Dont touch it, it's electric. We have to find a way to the other side." I look around to see what are options were. Hmmm there's a huge tree over there. Now if we could just get up on that and jump over. No its too big of a jump for Alex...ohh I could.

"Ren! Their coming!"

I turn and listen. She's right I can hear them now. Three maybe Four of them running this way. Just then we hear another one of their screams this one closer. They found us. Yup this is one of our bad days I'd say.
