Epilogue
Blossom leaned over slightly so that Booker could see the sweet face of the baby girl swaddled in Blossom's arms. The young boy had a fascination with his baby sister, spending as much time watching her as he could.
"Why is she so small?" Booker asked, pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose. Booker took after the looks of his father with dark orange hair that spiked at the ends, though it was only shoulder length. A red bandana tied around his head kept back his hair and his crimson eyes sparkled just like Brick's.
Blossom laughed gently. "She's a newborn baby. They have to be small."
"In fact, you were just her size when you were born." Brick smiled, scooping his son up and into his arms.
Booker giggled, struggling in his father's grasp. "I was?"
"You were." Blossom smiled back, rocking Cheri in her arms. Cheri was not even 6 weeks old yet, but tufts of soft orange hair had already covered most of her head. She inherited her mother's soft pink eyes.
"How old was I when you found out my powers?" Booker wondered. He stopped moving around, hanging onto Brick's neck to hold himself up. Booker's powers had come as more of a surprise. He had been given the Gifts of Language and Telepathy whereas most people would have guessed that he would have received either Blossom or Brick's element along with Health or Telepathy. (Which he had gotten.)
According to the books of lore, Splitzers couldn't technically have Splitzer offspring after Disoria had been bound to the tower. Zorin had it as a safety precaution, more or less. Instead, children were able to invoke family inherited powers without being labeled a Splitzer.
"About Cheri's age. Five and a half weeks, more or less." Brick explained, tickling his stomach. Booker kept a blank expression since he wasn't ticklish. Instead, Brick got a firm grip on Booker's waist before flipping him upside down so that his feet could touch the ceiling.
"Brick," Blossom chastised, clicking her tongue. "We don't want it to look like a herd of deer trampled our ceiling."
"Relax, Bloss." The nickname had stuck like glue.
A light pounding came from the door. When Blossom didn't open it fast enough, the knock became louder and more aggressive. She concluded that it was Buttercup. "Yes?" Blossom asked sweetly, opening the door slowly.
Buttercup was adorned in her formal attire -a long green sleeveless gown that flowed around her ankles. It was the type of outfit she would only wear for a Gathering. "Fashionably late?"
Buttercup reached out toward the pink bundle that was Cheri, wanting to hold her niece. Blossom complied, gently placing her daughter into her sister's arms.
"No. Brick just won't help me get Booker into his clothes." Blossom replied, hands on her hips in an exasperated fashion. "Where's Astrid?"
"With Mother and Father." She answered. She leaned to one side so that she could see into the bedroom around Blossom to where Brick was playing with Booker. "Booker? It's time to get ready for Cheri's Gathering ceremony. Tell your dad it's time to stop playing."
"Yes, Aunt Buttercup." Booker turned around and quickly relayed the instructions to Brick before pulling on some nice, cotton pants reserved for special occasions.
Blossom smiled as Brick came alongside her, dropping an arm around her shoulder. "Thanks BC." Blossom said.
"Would you stop scaring our kid?" Brick asked playfully, stroking the orange hair on Cheri's head.
Buttercup shot him a dirty look. "I don't scare Booker. He just knows when to listen."
Brick rolled his eyes, grinning as Blossom pushed on his chest indicating to go back in the room. "Everyone here yet?"
Buttercup blinked down at the baby in her arms. Cheri twirled a strand of Buttercup's black hair around her fingers, pink eyes lighting up. "Pretty much. Bubbles had a hard time getting the twins to behave when getting ready."
Blossom stifled a laugh. "We don't want to make it any harder on Boomer and Bubbles than it needs to be, right?"
"Yep. So I'd suggest getting your royal asses downstairs."
"Are you deliberately trying to ruin my child's innocence?" Blossom teased, semi-seriously.
Buttercup shrugged as she returned her niece to Blossom. "It's fine. She won't remember it." She turned her attention to Cheri's sweet little face and grinned from ear to ear. "Will you, Cheri?" She pecked the baby on the head, then started back down the hallway by which she came. "Don't be to long!"
Blossom rolled her eyes and smirked as she closed the large set of doubled doors.
Booker held his head high as he walked down the aisle towards the front of the ballroom. He tried to ignore the staring faces of villagers and travelers in the rows to either side of him as he followed his Mom and Dad down the aisle to where Cheri's Gifts would be revealed. After all, he had to set the example for his younger cousins for when they were present for their sibling's Gathering.
Blossom smiled confidently to those they passed along the aisle. Her hair was tied back in elaborate braids and she was dressed in a long pink gown that ruffled from the waist down. Her right arm linked with Brick's left and her left carrying Cheri.
Brick was wearing black cotton pants and some old boots that he had kept from before the war, along with a finely tailored red button down shirt. His fiery orange hair was brushed out neatly and his red cap Sat right where it always should.
The distance between Blossom and the King and Queen diminished as they walked on. Mira was healthy as ever, as if she had never been kidnapped, poisoned, and tortured by a psychotic witch. Her black hair curled around her face in beautiful swirls, a golden tiara resting on her hair. Her poofy white dress trimmed in gold shimmered.
Beside Her Highness sat Professor, strong and proud as ever. His brown pants were neatly pressed and his white uniformed shirt was pinned with a variety of gold medals and pins. The honors of a heroic man in battle.
Blossom nodded toward where Princess, Bunny, Robin, Mike, and Mitch stood. Princess' hair was in a curly ponytail with strands of orange hair dangling by her face. She was dressed in a bright yellow evening gown, perfectly complimenting her creamy complexion and bright green eyes. Princess was a nurse in the castle, the best in the entire kingdom in fact. She had been the one who had assisted Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup when they were in labor.
Robin looked lovely in a deep blue strapless gown that spread around her feet like a puddle of ink. Her brown hair was braided along her shoulder with strands of silver ribbons tied in as well. Beside Her, Mike stood proudly in white pants and a dark blue top, two golden medals pinned to it. After the war, Robin and Mike had met while operating relief hospitals. They had taken a fancy to each other and had been friends for the past few years. Only recently had they begun dating.
Bunny wore a purple gown that hugged her figure until it reached her knees where it branched off into ruffles. A purple headband kept her short brown hair out of her purple eyes. Mitch wore an identical outfit to Mike only with an indigo shirt and with three medals instead of two. Mitch and Bunny were the classic frenemies, having teamed up to hunt down any of the remaining mortals who had assisted Disoria in her reign of tyranny. It was quite obvious that they had some feelings for each other, but it was tough to convince when they denied it every time the subject came up.
The real shocker? Bunny was actually Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup's cousin. Apparently, Mira herself had been the decendent of a unicorn and a mortal, granting her the odd eye coloring but without the powers. On a trip to the unicorn kingdom, the queen of Unicorns had mentioned that she was Bunny's mom and the sister of Mira's father who had been a unicorn Prince at the time.
It was enough to make Blossom hyperventilate the first time she put it together.
To the other side of the aisle down towards the front, Brick noticed his adopted sisters and their husbands/boyfriend. Bree was beaming brightly, brown hair pulled back in a curly ponytail. Her maroon gown bulged where her stomach was, confirming that she was pregnant with her third child. Beside her, Bean had Mason on his shoulders and Anita in his left arm. Subconsciously, Brick admired his sense of balance.
Bhumi and Brin stood together, both cuddling their 10 month son, Owen. Bhumi and Brin had moved to one of the surrounding kingdoms, so their visits were always a treat.
Beyond them, Basil and Bain held hands smiling at Brick and admiring how cute Booker and Cheri were. They had decided that they didn't want to have children, or at least not so soon as their sisters and brothers had. They wanted to travel Dorton first.
Britt and Block waved furiously at them as they walked down the aisle. They may have been sixteen now, but they were still kids at heart, sufficing the want for children of their own.
Despite all that had happened in the past few years following the War Over Tyranny as it had been started to be called, Blossom, Bubbles, Buttercup, Brick, Boomer, and Butch had made it a personal effort to stay in touch with those they had befriended. So far, life was better off.
Once they reached the end of the aisle, Blossom had a clear view over the ballroom seated with both familiar and new faces. In the very front row sat Bubbles, Boomer, Buttercup, and Butch.
Bubbles was dressed in a light blue gown trimmed with silver. Her beautiful blonde hair was pinned back in a curly bun with her bangs showing. Her stomach was large as well, the effect of being pregnant with her third child who would be due any day now.
Boomer had on black cotton pants and brown boots, along with a deep blue button down shirt. His spiky bangs whooshed out on either side, reflecting light the way it always does. Blue electricity crackled as he and Bubbles tried to keep their twin boys, Shane and Ethan, from misbehaving.
Shane was older than Ethan by 6 and ½ minutes, but was younger than Booker by ½ a year. His eyes were dark blue like Boomer's, and his hair was blonde just like his parents. Though the color was more comparable to Bubbles, his hair was spikier and wild more like Boomer's. His Gifts had been Fire and Manipulation, though he wasn't very good at Manipulation yet.
Ethan held alot more common sense than Shane, but being younger he just agreed with him on most cases. He had the same shade of blonde as Boomer, but his bangs resembled Bubbles' more, having curled out more so. He also held the same eye color of Bubbles. His Gifts were Water and Healing, which many were grateful for considering Shane had Fire.
Beside them in the front row was Butch and Buttercup. Buttercup had done absolutely nothing with her hair, though her green gown complimented her thin figure. In her arms was baby Astrid. Astrid was only about three months older than Cheri, and she had the same wild black hair as Butch and Buttercup and the same colored eyes as Butch. Her Gifts had been pronounced Levatation and Ice.
Butch sat with his hands behind his head and his eyes were blinking quickly like he was trying to stay awake. Classic Butch. The Gathering had only lasted about ten minutes and he was already tired.
Booker came alongside Brick as Blossom handed off Cheri to The Oracle. Mojo was still an old monkey with baggy green skin, but after the curse of the dragons and Disoria had been uplifted, Mojo wasn't in as bad of shape as he had been.
Mojo cradled the baby as everyone in the room fell silent. Even Ethan and Shane stopped pestering their parents. Coughing into his elbow, Mojo touched the infant's forehead to his. Cheri cooed.
Booker felt his stomach nearly flip. He was sure that that wasn't sanitary. As soon as the Gathering was over, he was going to give his sister a really good bath.
"We are gathered here for the announcement of the Princess Cheri's Gifts." Mojo wheezed.
Booker tuned out as Mojo rattled off more ceremonious blessings and whatnot until he dangled his staff of bananas over Cheri's head, signaling that he was about to reveal her Gifts.
"Within this child, I see the power of Lightning and Strength. Her Highness will be destined for greatness within her kingdom of Monshea." As tradition, Mojo placed the baby into the arms of the queen as Mira and Professor stood.
With a happy, clear tone, Mira said, "We acknowledge the Gifts of this child, Princess Cheri of Monshea."
"Princess Cheri," the room repeated respectfully, before the citizens rose and knelt to their princess.
Booker knelt too, even though he knew that those of the royal family need not kneal. "Princess Cheri of Monshea. I pledge my life to your protection, sister."
The End!
(See, I told you it would be up shortly :3 )
This introduced my series of PPG x RRB fanbabies that my sister and I came up with. (Booker, Shane, Ethan, Astrid, Cheri, Goldi, and Nico belong to me and Blue-FanGurl. Please ask if you want to use them.)
I hope you liked the fluffy ending. I just wanted to wrap up all the plot holes and other jazz. I may elaborate more on some of the Mira-unicorn and Bunny-cousin stuff at a later date but don't count on it.
I don't really support Mitch/Bunny but I just put it in this story and this story only. So, please no hate. Leave a comment about said subject, but please don't hate.
Also, has anyone done any fanart on this story? I was just curious. If someone has anything they drew or anything, I'd love to see it. :)
I was thinking, I might do a sequel following the kids going to HIM's library. What do you think? It wouldn't be super long, but it would be cute. Don't worry, it's only PPG xRRB kids. But idk. It's up to you.
Well guys, it's been great having you follow/favorite/comment and overall just read the story. I really appreciate all the support even when I went MIA for the longest of time. I hope to have you guys read some of my other stories as well, but if you don't that's awesome too.
Please review!
And for the last time on this story,
