She took a long sip of her tea before she sighed with content and asked, a giggle in her voice, "Have I ever told you that I simply love the atmosphere of this city?" Olympia smiled, tea cup hovering just over her mouth. She replied, "Many a time, dear." Fantina laughed, "Je suis désolé, but really, it is a beautiful place. It reminds me of my own Hearthome so much, except much more peaceful."

"Hearthome City is a very lively place, if I recall correctly." The Ghost gym leader nodded, her gaze focused on the waters that the city was elevated above.

"Oui, oui, c'est très animée," she said, "And I couldn't never imagine leaving now I've settled. But sometimes, even I need a break. One can only take so much, and I certainly do a lot, non?" Olympia nodded, "Yes, indeed you do."

"Which reminds me," Fantina added, "Laverre City, it was a very calm, beautiful place, much like here. And your friend, Valerie; elle était une femme charmante." The café terrace grew noisy as a small group of young teenage girls appeared, prompting unamused muttering from a nearby old woman. Olympia however ignored the new arrivals as she said, "I am glad to hear she was a gracious hostess. Your day went well then?" Fantina nodded enthusiastically, her tea cup shaking in her hand and causing some of it to spill over onto the table.

"Trés bien! She is - thank you," she added in as the waiter came over to their table and cleaned up the spilled tea, "she is very talented. Some of the dresses she has made, mon dieu! I see myself asking her to make me a dress for a contest soon." Her friend chuckled quietly, "I am sure she would appreciate the business. I'd reccommend her." She took a sip from her tea and added, "She already does business with a model in Unova, you see."

"Veinarde!" Fantina gasped before descending into friendly sounding cackling, earning her odd looks from the teenagers at the other end of the terrace. Olympia smiled, watching her friend as she laughed. Then she looked out at the bay and found her mind wandering, and she muttered, "Oh how long has it been now. It feels like more than just two years now, no?"

"Hmm?" Fantina chuckled, beginning to calm down, "Did you say something?" The Psychic gym leader shook her head and picked up her tea. Though curious, Fantina decided it'd be best to leave it at that, especially if Olympia wouldn't talk.

"Ah, I just remembered!" she gasped, clasping her hands together, "Did you hear about what was happening in Sinnoh? Oh, c'est un événement magnifique!" She burst out laughing again, as though the very thought were nothing but a highly amusing joke. Her friend smiled at her attitude, and once she'd calmed herself, motioned for Fantina to talk, just as a gentle breeze suddenly picked up and blew over the terrace, bringing with it the scent of salt and fresh snow.

Elle était une femme charmante - she was a lovely woman

You asked for Olympia, and I delivered. I'm sorry that its way short, but I did write this quickly in an afternoon, and I didn't quite know how to end it otherwise. Speaking of which, I'd like to thank a friend of mine for the idea to include Fantina. It gave me a chance to expand on the comment from chapter 3 about Fantina and Olympia being friends. Admittedly though, at the time, that comment was just a throwaway line.

But hey, call this character/relationship development!

So, since I can't think of much else to say - for once omgee - Imma end these A/Ns here.
