Hello everyone, sorry about not updating last week! I've got some news for you guys though; I am going to put this story on hold for a while. I know I just started updating again after two years, but I am writing another story, and I am really focused on that one more than this. I just don't want this to be half-assed; I really want to create something great for you all.

I promise to continue and finish this story when I'm done with my other one, and honestly I need your guys' opinion. How long should I make this? Because I was thinking of just ending it after Amon dies, or should I continue it more in the future? Comments are always helpful! Please enjoy though!

Day 1 (Iroh POV)

I set up my stance towards the Firenation soldier about to claim my victory as I punch a fireball towards his abdomen and he stumbles backwards and hits the floor. I walk over to him and offer him my hand.

"Thanks for practicing with me," I say as I haul him on his feet.

"Thank you, young prince," he bows and I also bow to him.

I grab a towel and wipe away the sweat dripping along my forehead from the heat of many fire blasts.

"Iroh, why don't you go wash up and we can have a cup of tea and play a game of pai sho," Grandfather offers and I nod my head.

"Yes sir," I say and I head into the metal hallway of the large ship and go into my room, I quickly take a shower and change into some red and grey garbs. I shake my hair out and I try to smooth it down, but it automatically begins to stick up. I sigh in defeat and I head out to the deck to meet up with Grandfather.

"Good evening Grandfather," I bow as he sits there sipping on his tea.

"Evening my boy, sit before your tea becomes cold." He says and I take my place across from him.

"Jasmine tea as always," I say as I take a sip and it warms me up while being outside in this cold weather.

"It was my uncle's favorite and I guess it caught on. Make your first move," he says and I move my pai sho piece.

"Grandfather, why are we heading out to the South Pole again?" I ask as he makes his counter move.

"Well to visit Katara, and I'd like to see how the young Avatar is doing," he says and I nod my head.

"Korra?" I perk my head up and he smiles.

"Yes, you two have become quite close with all the letters you send to each other. That's good, you don't have many friends back home," Grandfather says.

"I've just been focused on my studies," I reply.

"But you are also fifteen and could use some fun, I mean when I was fifteen I had already been banished by my father and sent after the Avatar," Grandfather says, "Though it wasn't really that fun. I just want you to have the childhood I didn't; you don't have to grow up so fast."

"I know, you know what, I think I'm going to hit the hay," I say and I stand up.

"Alright, get some sleep, you worked hard today. Remember to be up early though, we will be at the Southern Water Tribe in the morning," he reminds me and I head off to my room.

I lay down on my mat looking towards the ceiling, contemplating my life ahead. My mother gave me the same lecture as Grandfather; I guess in all reality, I want to make everyone proud of me. If only I could please everyone, but as I lay there I can feel my eyelids grow heavy and soon enough I'm out like a light.

I awaken to what feels like an earthquake, but I then realize it was just the boat docking at the Southern Water Tribe. I uncover myself and wash the night away from my face. I dress in my regal garbs that my mother always insists I wear when I go out. I leave my room and I meet Grandfather on the upper deck with the other guards.

"Good morning Iroh, are you ready to head out?" he questions and I nod my head.

"Yes Grandfather," I reply and we exit the ship, walking down the long ramp. I then see a crowd off people waiting for us at the end. I see a girl waving at us, she has brown skin, brown hair tied up, and I can see her blue eyes shining; Korra.

I smile and wave back and when my feet touch the dock I am bombarded with a hug, and I can't help but lose my composure and hug her back.

"I've missed you! Sorry I haven't written in forever, I've just been so busy," she explains and runs her hands through her hair.

"It's fine, it's been so long," I say and I can't keep the smile off of my face.

"I know. How old are you know, like twenty," she jokes and punches my shoulder.

"I'm fifteen, and what you're still two," I also joke and she laughs.

"Yeah, just add ten years, c'mon, I think Naga might still remember you," she smiles and grabs my hand and begins to run along the dock.

"Grandfather!" I yell in a sad attempt to be saved by this crazy Avatar. What have I gotten myself into?

"Have fun! Be at Katara's by lunch," he yells back and I can hear him chuckling, crazy old man.

Korra and I hike up a huge hill of snow and the large gates of the training center greet us. A guard gives Korra a small nod and I come face-to-face with a large training area, and I feel as though I'm in Heaven.

"Wow," is all I say and I can hear Korra laugh beside me.

"Impressive isn't it?" Korra says.

"Yeah," I say gaping.

"C'mon, before bugs get into your mouth, Naga is over here," she calls and runs across to a cage. I shake my head and run after her.

"Naga, hey girl, remember Iroh," she says and the big polar-bear dog stands up and barks and then licks my face leaving a trial of saliva on me.

"Hi Naga," I say with a monotone voice and I pet her and Korre snickers beside me.

"Let me help you out there," she says and then waterbends an orb of water over my head and lets it splash all over me.

"Seriously," I say and shake my arms, trying to get some of the water off.

"So you wanna train with me?" she asks, after she stops laughing about the water.

"I don't think you could beat a firebending master," I smirk and cross my arms.

"Let's get one thing straight, you're not a master, and I wouldn't underestimate me, I think my firebending is better than my waterbending," she says.

"Fine, you're on," I challenge and we head out to the training circle, and we both stare at each other taking stances ready to fight.

"One," Korra yells.

"Two," I chant back.

"Three," and then she punches fireballs to my abdomen, but I quickly dodge them. I shoot blasts from my feet aiming for her arms, but she also moves out of the way.

"Nice moves," I compliment.

"You too, but don't think your compliments will win me over," she replies and runs toward me shooting flames from her fists and one actually grazes my skin. But, when she's close I throw a punch of fire at her stomach and I see her shirt slightly singe.

Korra then does a flip blasting fire from her toes and the heat pushes me to the ground and I lay there helpless when Korra straddles me holding a fist of flame, ready to deliver a final blow. But, then all of a sudden something changes in her eyes and she then leans toward my face. I try to move my head back, but the ground seems to be restricting me. Her face is then just inches from mine, and before I could know what she's doing, her lips touch mine. For what seemed like a lifetime, ended in a few seconds.

I look up to her, seeing her blushing red face and I'm sure mine mirrors her.

"That's what I get for beating you," she says and then hops off of me and goes towards Katara's hut. I lay there looking up at the sky, remembering her lips touching mine. I've never kissed a girl before. I mean I like Korra, but do I like her in that way? Did she really want to kiss me?

My brain is full of questions, but I just lay there making out figures in the clouds, with only Korra's face appearing in each. I finally decide it's time to get up and head to Gran Gran's.

I open the wooden door, and soon enough all eyes are on me, and I give everyone an awkward smile.

"My boy, you look so old," Gran Gran says as she gets up and smothers me in a hug and many kisses.

"I missed you Gran," I hug back.

"Well sit down, you must be starving," she says and I take my seat across from Korra, but her face is looking downwards.

Lunch is spent mainly talking about my schooling and training, and how I was the first of my class last year and hat I've also been recruited by the United Nations. The entire time Korra stays quiet, but Gran Gran then requests that we play a game of pai sho, and that takes up most of the day. Korra leaves mid game to start training, and never says a word to me.

The sun begins to set and Grandfather and I decide it's time to head back to the ship for the night. We walk out of the hut, and I see Korra punching fireballs at a training dummy.

"I'll meet you at dinner," I tell Grandfather and he just nods his head, and begins the walk to the ship.

"Korra," I yell out and she stops throwing fireballs and stands there breathing hard.

"I shouldn't have kissed you, it was way out of line," she says hanging her head low.

"No, it's okay," I reply approaching her and soon enough I'm standing In front of her, and I then lift her chin, "I actually liked it, you were my first kiss."

"And you were mine," she blushes and I then take her hand in mine.

"Is it okay if I kiss you this time?" I ask and she looks up at me astounded by my words, but I then place my lips on hers.

"Iroh, I like you," she admits.

"I think I like you too, I'll see you tomorrow okay," I tell her and I let go of her hand and I head towards the ship.

"You and the young Avatar seem to be becoming good friends," Grandfather comments and I look at him horrified.

"Did you see?" I ask.

"A Grandfather sees all young prince," he smiles and I can feel my cheeks burn with embarrassment.

So how did you guys like it? I know these chapters are still pretty short. There is a part two to this, and if you guys get this fic up to twenty reviews I promise to update part two, before I put this story on hold. I also love to hear what you guys think, and if you like where it's going. Thanks for reading!
