"I made this technique, by studying the waterbenders." He told me about the technique, and how he came up with it. Then he showed me the movements, they looked pretty simple but apparently it was harder than it looked. I spent 5 hours trying to perfect it. It was starting to get dark.
"I think that we have done enough training for today. You have it almost perfect."
"Okay. And thank you, you are a great teacher."
"I should be thanking you. It's a lot easier to teach a student who listens to me, I never get that out of Zuko."
"Well then, you're welcome. Why is Zuko so urgent on his training?"
"Why don't we go inside the ship and talk over a nice cup of tea." We went inside the ship "So what was that you were saying?"
"Why is Zuko so urgent with his training? I mean, I know he wants to capture the Avatar and all, but why?"
"When Zuko was banished, he was told that the only way to restore his honor was to find and capture the Avatar."
"Oh, does he know where he is?"
"No he doesn't, but I think you do."
I got really nervous "Well..umm..I don't know where Aang is, right now. But we are close, I've know him my whole life."
"Really? Is he your grandfather?"
"What? No, Aang's only like 12, what would make you think that he's my grandfather?"
"The Avatar has been missing for 100 years. How do you know so much about the avatar anyway, being a young kid from the fire nation?" He questioned
"Well," I sighed "I'm not from the fire nation, I'm from the Southern air temple. Aang left, so I followed him to see where he was going, then the storm hit and after that it's pretty blank." Then I took a sip of my tea.
"I figured that you weren't from the fire nation, but how did you learn to fire bend?" He asked then took a sip of his tea.
"UNCLE!" Zuko shouted as he came in the room "Uncle what are you doing?"
"I am having a conversation with our new friend over a nice cup of tea."
"We were having a head count and you weren't there!"
"Must have slipped my mind" Iroh stretched and rubbed his stomach "It's getting late, I'm off to bed. And Kyoko, thank you for your company."
"No problem, oh and thank you for the tea, it was delouse."
"My pleasure, I love sharing tea with a new friend. Good night." And with that, Iroh was off to bed. But Zuko stayed in the room.
"Hey Zuko, how long were you looking for your uncle?"
"About 15 minutes. Why do you want to know?"
"Oh no reason. Just that its a small ship, if it takes you longer than 5 minutes, you have problems." He was about to hit me when a guard walked in "How long did it take you to find Zuko?"
"A few minutes"
"See. You may continue."
"Sir, have you found your uncle?"
"Yes, he just went off to his cabin to rest. Tell the others that they can rest too."
"Yes sir" The guard was off. Then there was a silence between me and Zuko.
"What were you and uncle talking about?" Zuko asked
"Nothing that you need to know about."
"Tell me what you were talking about!" Zuko snapped grabbing my wrist, which got me mad. I made my hand into a fist "Tell me or I will burn yo..."
"Listen boy," My hand caught on fire "I don't know where I am, or what time period I'm in, and you yell at me every chance you get! You think that you can beat me 'cause I'm a girl? Well think again cause I'm a master in three of the elements, don't test me! You will get hurt!"
"Your a what?" Zuko Said letting go of my wrist. Then I realized what I had just said
"Umm...nothing just never mind. I'm tired so, good night" I said quickly as I left the room. then I popped my head back in "Where do I stay."
"Come on, I'll show you." Zuko said walking over to me, he showed me to the spare cabin. As we were walking he had a strange look on his face, as if he was thinking about something, he would also look over at me. I thought he might be thinking about what I had said but I didn't want to ask. Then we got to the room "You will sleep in here tonight."
"Okay, night." I jumped into the bed and clicked out the light. Then Zuko left, at least I think he did anyway, it was dark so I couldn't see.
