Chapter 7

The virus watched this from the alarm clock. He smiled to himself as he watched. The smile slowly faded away as the narration continued. He looked at me and said, "Shut up."

I have to write everything down. The readers need to know what's going on.

"Fine, but can I at least enjoy this moment."

Sigh I suppose… so how 'bout them Broncos.

"You're not being quiet."

Sorry… …(-_-)…I made Kirby…are you done yet?

"Yes, you can continue."

Thank you. The virus, however, had more plans. He set the alarm clock off. Pikachu noticed it first and walked over. Others joined him. "That's a weird time for the alarm to go off," Pikachu said.

Rosalina took the clock and checked what time it was set too. "It should go off in the morning."

"Is it broken?" Peach asked. She didn't get a chance to respond as the Villager's computer turned on. Luigi backed away from it.

Toon Link and Kirby walked towards it to examine it. They watched as Word was opened and a message appeared on the monitor. It read, "Ha ha ha." After a few seconds, the computer exploded, hurting Toon Link and Kirby.

The lights began to flicker. Everyone rushed out of the room and backed away. Link looked around for Zelda. He couldn't see her. Link began searching for Mario. He quickly found the plumber and picked him up. "Where's Zelda?"

"We-a had to lock her up in her-a room," Mario said. "We didn't want her setting you loose."

"And you left her unguarded?"

"We were more worried about the four of you than her," Samus said.

"Well now she's in danger." Link threw Mario at Luigi and left for Zelda.

Marth tried to stop him, but it was too late. He watched Link turn the corner and leave them. Marth decided to ignore it and focus on the current situation. The lights began to flicker above them as Marth turned to the others. They heard a sound down the hallway and they turned to check it out. Donkey Kong went to look and was drilled by a soda can. Donkey Kong collapsed. He held up his hand, and another soda can hit it and broke.

Fox looked at Mario. "The virus appears to have powers over anything that is plugged in.:

"Really?" Bowser said. "What would give you that idea?"

"Should we turn the power off now?" Trainer asked.

"We can't let the virus continue to do this," Mario said.

"I-is it a good idea to leave us in the dark though?" Pikachu said.

Several lightbulbs suddenly exploded behind them. "Maybe we should?" Kirby said.

"And put us in the dark?" Luigi said as he shook.

"If the lightbulbs keep exploding, we'll be in the dark anyway," Samus said. "Let's go."

"We should-a only take a small-a group," Mario said. "Marth, Toon Link, Donkey Kong, and-a Fox, come with me. Everyone else should-a find Link and Zelda and-a go to the cafeteria." Everyone agreed and the majority of the smashers left. Mario and his team rushed to the basement. They ran down the stairs and could hear the lightbulbs shattering behind them. They entered the room where the control panel was. Mario went to turn on the lights, but the bulb flashed and shattered.

Mario quickly pulled out a fireball to light up the room. The room lit up and revealed the control panel. It was flanked by Sonic and King Dedede, both dead. The sight caused Mario to drop his fireball and scream. Fox pulled his reflector out, and it lit up the room again. Marth walked over and began examining the bodies. They looked like they had been killed in a variety of ways. Toon Link turned away and began to cry a little. The rest of them looked at the bodies, paralyzed with fear. He checked both of the bodies before he looked up and said, "They're dead."

Fox walked over to King Dedede. "Did anyone see him here?"

"No. What's he doing here?" Donkey Kong said. "The gate was supposed to keep anyone else from entering the world."

"He asked me to let him through even after I told him what was going on," Fox said. "I warned him to be careful. I guess he thought it wasn't too serious."

"You-a mean you let another person-a through," Mario said.

"I thought he would be alright."

"Well that clearly didn't happen," Donkey Kong shouted.

"I'm sorry, but at least I said something this time. We did the same thing to Rosalina and Luma, but we made it worse by not telling them anything. Besides, what about Sonic? Where has he been?"

"He went to look for the hands," Toon Link said.

"By himself?" Fox said. "That's suicide."

"We need the Hands, and something clearly happened to them," Marth said. "It's not like any of you would help."

"Can we just shut the power off, please?" Toon Link said.

Everyone turned to him. Marth turned to the control switch and flicked it off. They heard a humming sound slowly diminish in the background. Marth sighed and turned to follow the others leaving the room.

However, the five of them froze as they heard laughing behind them. Marth turned and stared back in the room. He saw the same red eyes he had always seen when the virus was there. Now, they were floating in the middle of the room. Fox came back over and held up his reflector. The eyes disappeared, but the laughing continued. Marth looked around the room to see if anything had changed, but the bodies and the control panel were still the only things in the room.

Sonic's eyes shot open. They had changed so they were completely red. Sonic smiled and revealed his teeth had grown become sharp. Sonic stood up. He looked at King Dedede and kicked him. King Dedede's eyes popped open and revealed red eyes identical to Sonic's. He smiled and revealed he had grown teeth similar to Sonic's and stood up.

Sonic stared at Marth. "Now it's time to have some fun," Sonic said.

The two of them were engulfed in smoke. Marth charged forward, but he discovered they had already disappeared. Then, the entire mansion began shaking. The smashers ran up to the lobby and a red dome began forming around the mansion saw others down there. Mario and Donkey Kong joined the other Mario characters. Fox grabbed Luigi. "Where are the others?" he said.

"They-a went to the-a mansion top," Luigi said.

Fox, Toon Link, and Marth left to join the others. When Marth stepped onto the roof top, the sight of the red dome stunned him. Him stared at it and found himself shocked to see it. Pit fired an arrow at it, and the arrow was absorbed. Everyone looked horrified as the rest of the sky was covered, and the red dome was completed.

"Are we trapped?" Kirby said.

A few others fired stuff into the red walls, but they were destroyed. Marth slowly nodded his head and said, "We are."

Hey, I'm still here. I was busy, then I was lazy, but now I'm back. When the beginning was originally written, it was close to the super bowl (that was so long ago and now I feel worse). Anyway, as always, tell me how you think I can improve and also tell me who you think it is.
