A/N: Hola its meeeee! Continuing... Super late. Eh, at least its an update. Soo... This chapter is in third person, unlike the other chapters that are in first. Sorry if it confuses you but I'm more comfortable with third person and can't remember why I ever attempted first person. If third person for this chapter doesn't go over well, I'll switch back to first. By the way, Momo is 18 in this. Oh, and by the way, I edited the other chapters. Nothing to big, took some sentences out and added some.

This chapter is dedicated to MeMoHime. Sorry if I misspelled it.

All Momo could think about was how incredibly horrible and unholy it was to have school start at 7 a.m. Who wants to get up that early? Especially teenagers.

Yawning, Momo stretched before leaving over to switch on her bedside lamp and finally getting out of bed.

Just then, her alarm decided to start beeping loudly causing her to almost curse in surprise. The alarm clock was always a little slow, going off a few minutes late but she never bothered to get a new one.

She shivered as her feet touched the icy wooden floor. Perhaps she should have slept with socks.

After finishing her morning routine of brushing her teeth, taking a shower, getting dressed, and eating breakfast (usually a banana or a muffin) she exited the house, her mom still asleep inside.

And like everyday, she left the house as Toshiro was pulling away in his rather nice car.

It was cold out, the wind biting her face more than usual, so she was glad that she wore her thick red and white checkered winter jacket and snow boots even though it wasn't snowing yet.

Walking to school wasn't a problem. She enjoyed the exercise and the school was only about half a mile from her house.

As she walked, Momo almost incessantly checked her phone, waiting for Rangiku to call like she always did. As she neared her school, Momo got nervous. Rangiku ALWAYS called her before school and they met up in front of the school and walked to the cafeteria together.

Deciding to call her, Momo took out her phone and dialed Rangiku's number once she got to the front of the school. Rangiku answered on the second ring, her bright voice still chirpy despite it being still quite early. "Momo! Glad you called, how's it going?"

I tried not to let the cold bother me too much as I stood outside in the cold. "Where are you? You didn't call me this morning"

"Oh Momo" She giggled. "I'm in the cafeteria. Sorry I forgot to call but my dad dropped me off early because I wanted to study for our physics test. Just come and meet me in the café"

Momo attempted to say goodbye but was cut off by the dial tone signaling that she had already hung up. Momo sighed and made her way to the cafeteria, dragging her feet along as she went. The school wasn't very big so it didn't take much time to get to the cafeteria and once she got there, Rangiku waved madly at her so it wasn't too hard to find her either.

Rangiku sat and returned to her phone, typing furiously on her phone. "Uh Rangiku" Momo began. "Weren't you supposed to be studying for Psychics? There's no books out"

Rangiku didn't bother to look up while answering. "I forgot my books at home" She shrugged nonchalantly.

"You can borrow mine" Momo offered but Rangiku shook her head in response, finally looking up to give Momo a smile. "I'll be fine but thanks"

They sat in silence after that, Rangiku lighting up every time her phone dinged and Momo uncomfortably picking nonexistent lint off her blue jeans while the other students in the cafeteria chatted amiably.

A/N: Filler chapter, I know. But it is important to show how things are between Rangiku and Momo at the moment. The next chapter will contain lots of Hitsugaya. Also, please please don't think Ran is a big meanie, she's just absorbed in her new crush at the moment, she's not purposely being like this to Momo.
