Sorry I haven't updated in a while…I just got my internet back so I should be able to update more often. Here is chapter 21!

I woke up and saw Derek sitting in one of the kitchen chairs he must've brought in. Derek has slept in here every night for the whole week that we have been here. I haven't talked to him, I don't trust him. Every time I try to talk to him he still has that look in his eyes. So since I haven't been talking to him, and I haven't seen Simon, Kit, Tori, or Lauren, I have no idea why I'm here.

Derek shifted in the chair and fluttered his eyes. He looked up and caught my gaze. We looked at each other for what felt like forever. Finally, but all too quickly he looked away. He got up and walked around the room to the other side of my bed.

"Um, how are you feeling? Is your back better?" My back, I completely forgot that I burnt it. I didn't even feel it.

I realized I was not talking just staring at him because he cleared his throat. "Chloe? I don't know why you're mad at me. Can you just talk to me, please?" His face and eyes filled with desperation.

"I-I'm not m-mad I-I just, I d-don't kn-know." I struggled to sit up in bed but Derek pushed my shoulders down and sat on the bed next to me.

"Chloe, please. Just-"He stopped in the middle of his sentence and took a deep breath. "Just talk to me. I love you. I can't stand seeing you around the house everyday and not being with you. Whatever I did I'm sorry. Just tell me what I did."

I felt a tear stream down my face, I looked up at Derek and saw tears in his eyes too. Derek noticed that I wasn't going to say anything anytime soon and sat with his back against the head board.

I don't know how long we sat there for until I caved. I moved closer to him and put my head on his chest. I immediately felt the warmth of his embrace. He put his arms around me and rested his hands on my hips with his chin on the crown of my head.

"I love you Derek." Was all I was able to say before I started sobbing. Derek didn't say anything just tightened his grip around me and sat there while I cried.

"I love you too." I heard him say before I fell asleep in his arms.

I woke up alone. Derek's imprint still in the sheets. I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes and got out of bed. It was cold so I walked to my dresser and got out a pair of my old sweats. I walked out to the den, no one. Then the kitchen, same.

I finally came to the living room, Derek was surrounded by people with guns. I tried to be quiet but a gasp escaped my lips. They all looked at me but didn't keep my gaze, except Derek.

"Chloe. Do. Not. Move."

I got an idea! Aha! Please review, and check out my new story! Thanks!
