"Derek?" I turned around and was shocked by what I saw. Derek was sitting here, in my bed, holding me. He wasn't dead! His eyes were full of love, protectiveness, and joy.
"Hey beautiful." He kissed my forehead and I rested my head on his chest. "I've missed you so much; it hurt so badly to have to be away from you."
"I-I thought-t that you w-were d-dead." I held onto him as if my life depended on it. Even if he were a ghost I was never going to let him leave again.
"I was never dead Chloe." He whispered in my ear. "I'm right here, I'm real."
"So y-you're n-not a g-ghost?" I held on even tighter to him.
"If I were a ghost you wouldn't be able to feel me right now would you?"
I lifted myself on me elbows and looked in his emerald green eyes, ones that I have looked into thousands of times and they still take my breath away. "I love you so much. Don't ever leave me again."
"Never." Was all he said before he pulled me back down to him and told me to sleep.
I woke up alone.
It was a dream. Derek still wasn't here.
I decided to get out of bed and go get something to eat. I couldn't stay in this room any longer.
I when I went down stairs I heard Kit talking to someone. I walked in to kitchen and saw Kit and Derek sitting at the table.
Derek was standing, leaning against the sink, and I ran to him. I wasn't even half way to him before I was wrapped in his embrace. "Told you I wasn't dead." He said into my hair, holding me to him.
