Sorry it took me so long to update. I didn't have time. But here is chapter 26.

I don't know how long Derek and I stayed like that. But I didn't want it to end. Derek wasn't dead. He was here. Holding me, and that was the way it was going to stay.

Derek tried to push me away so he could look at me better, but the more he pushed the tighter I held on. "Chloe," He said gripping my shoulders and making me look at him. "I know you're surprised to see me. But I need to explain a few things; can we go upstairs or something?"

I nod, not trusting my voice; I take his hand and lead him to what used to be our room.

When I get to our room I go to the bed and sit down, cross my legs and watch as he locks the door, takes a few breaths and finally looks at me.

I look over his face, something is different. Not what I noticed before. This look said that he still loved me. Still wanted me safe, but it wasn't the same. His face was full of worry, concern, anything but relief to be with me again.

"Derek, w-what's g-going on?" Now I was worried. Here I thought he was dead for I don't even know how long because I lost track. And here he is standing before me, not talking. "Derek?"

"Chloe," He takes a deep breath and makes his way towards me. He sits down next to me, careful not to touch me. "I'm so sorry, for what I put you through." He raises his hand as if he is going to rest it on my cheek, but quickly rethinks it and puts it back down on his lap.

"Then why did you? Put me through that? Why did you let them take me? And why didn't you come save me?" I couldn't stop the questions from coming out. No matter how relived I am that Derek is fine, it still doesn't change the fact that he didn't come save me.

"I tried, I did. But there were too many. I couldn't take them all. They already had you. They were going to kill you, I couldn't-" He tore his gaze away from mine and looked everywhere around the room, as if he was seeing it for the first time. HE still didn't meet my gaze, just settled his on his hands.

I took a breath so I wouldn't stutter. "That still doesn't explain why you didn't come help me. Why you didn't do everything you could until I was out of there." I folded my arms over my chest and turned away from him and walked to the window so he couldn't see the tears run down my face as I remembered what they did to me in there.

"I was so close to you," I heard him get up and start to walk toward me. "I was so close to getting you away from them, but then they injected me with something. I guess it was suppose to kill me, but it didn't. And I had to give it time so they really would think that I was dead." He put his hand on my shoulder trying to turn me to face him, but I just shrugged it off.

"I did everything I could to get you out-" He walked around me so that he was standing by the other side of the window. "But something kept stopping me. I don't know what it was, but every time I got close to that building, I just couldn't-"

I looked at him, the look in his eyes told me that he was telling the truth. "Derek, I-" but I didn't get to far before his lips met mine. He held me so close to him, I didn't even know where his body stopped and mine began.

I wrapped my arms around his neck, meeting his kiss with the same passion. I could easily feel his longing for my lips against his. For his need to have me in his arms again.

Derek pushed me up against the wall and grabbed my thigh. I wrapped my legs around his waist and struggled to take off his shirt with his body so close to mine.

Derek turned around, supporting my weight with no trouble at all, and walked toward the bed. His hands were on the small of my back easing me down onto the mattress. How he was able to do all this while never breaking our kiss, I had no idea.

His hands were playing with the bottom of my shirt before moving his hands to the inside and touching every inch of me. He didn't even break the kiss while he took off my shirt and threw it on the ground.

I turned us around so that I was straddling him. We just looked at each other, both of us trying to catch our breaths while he ran his hands all over my torso, claiming every part of me as his.

I bent down and pressed hard against his lips while I took off his shirt and threw it next to mine on the floor.

I was too wrapped up in our embrace to realize that he had turned us around and that we were under the blankets.

Derek was working on undoing my pants when there was a knock on the door.

"Ignore them, they'll go away." Derek said close to my ear, biting the lobe after he did.

I did as he said and traced his jaw bone all the way to his neck with my lips. There was another knock on the door, and then someone trying to open it. Luckily Derek had locked it before.

Derek stopped in his track from my ear to my chest and rested his head on my shoulder, both of us panting. I tangled my fingers in his hair and started to his face. "I don't think they're going to leave anytime soon." I said giggling as much as I could while trying to get my breathing under control.

Derek put his hands on either side of my head, supporting his weight, and looked at me. "Do you want me to bring you their head on a silver platter?" He did that half smile that made me fall in love with him all over again.

"Yes." I said biting my lower lip and kissed him before he got up and walked to the door.

As soon as he unlocked the door it burst open. When I saw Simon I remembered at I was only wearing a bra and pulled the blanket up to my chin.

His eyes darted between me and Derek, comprehending what he walked in on. "I-I'm so sorry t-to disturb y-you g-guys. But w-we need to t-talk." When he realized that neither I nor Derek was going anywhere he added, "Now."

He turned away and Derek closed and locked the door and came to lay down next to me. "Well, I think that if we don't get up he is going to come back." He said resting his head on his hand. "Come on." He saw the disappointment on my face and kissed me before standing up.

"Seriously," He said with a laugh and threw my shirt at me.

"Fine." I pulled on my shirt and started to walk out the door before adding. "I still want his head on a platter." And walked into the living room to see my dad sitting on the couch.
